The “support” option in 3H is p u r e perfection and is always a joy to watch.
-
Nobody asked but the Marowak and Cubone story in Gen 1 still DESTROYS me everytime I’m reminded of it. Pokemon had made great side stories, this will forever be one of them.
It’s halloween and I-I’m emotional hnngg -
It took a while for me to press “continue” on 3H so suddenly out of nowhere, it played the theme song of the game. It’s safe to say that I am shook.
-
OKAY. I’m gonna go with regina george first and her team, the black eagles. I want to explore the game with my main pick after all. Blue lions then Golden deer will be up next.
So far the game has a lot of lore and I love it. I wasn’t even aware we have relationship points here
so far so good three houses, so far so good.
-
I’m just going to be REAL salty if the starters ends up having mediocre typings with their last evos. The leak already stated that Scorbunny is going to be pure fire type, which is such a waste to be honest. Why not fire/electric?

Finished Astral Chain!
Maqqy’s final rating: 8/10
The only drawback of this game is the plot. The story is pretty lackluster. I mean, there were so many questions left unanswered. It felt short, like it was cut here and there to fit it in 11 files/chapters.
Yet yet yet, everything else makes up for it. Sidequests were entertaining and never felt like a chore to do. Characters, gameplay, graphics, they are all A++
Special mention to the the theme songs of the game. Those were very anime-ish but they were c l e a n ESpecially the ending part that sht was fire
I love the game nonetheless. I loved how the mc “talked” in the last file. It was a nice surprise.
You know what’s nexxtttt
Time to dust off three houses from the shelf!!
Am I ready though?

I’m still quite on the fence when it comes to the concept of Dyna/Gigantimaxing, but I do like the idea of every mon being capable of doing it. The idea of mixing megas and z-moves isn’t pretty bad once you think about it. It may offer more diversity in leagues, which will be nice to see.

But Pokemon that can Gigantamax could also be able to Dynamax, correct? @Autumn Zephyr
-
As things currently appear, no- if a Pokemon can Gigantimax, it always will. However, only some individuals of the species will actually be able to Gigantimax in the first place, so it'll still be possible to Dynamax a butterfree normally if you really don't like G-Max Befuddle, for example.
That said, there is a fair bit we don't know about the mechanics quite yet. Like, is the HP bonus percentage based or a fixed BST increase? Does it do anything other than raise HP and change attacks? It's all quite the enigma at the moment.
-
Let’s just hope they somewhat execute this wonderfully. Dynamax as a whole seems just like a rip off mega evolution right now for most people, so hopefully they compensate that with actual non-broken mechanics this time.
Though it seems that’s hardly gonna happen, when GF gives 0 f for balance. Hope they change my mind.

Okay but really, Gigantimax Eevee is cute as hell.

Just watched Joker.
Aside from all the controversies, Joaquin Phoenix really did a very good job

After a whole 2 AND A 1/2 hours, we have finally done it.
Most exciting yet worst boss fight in my life holy cow there were so many clutches but we were victorious!!
Why did no one tell me about my second team facing off the harder part of the boss fight.... caught me off guard I really thought I was done forAll in all, I love the game. Except the grinding parts, sorry. Everything was beautifully made though and I can’t wait for the mobile version to come out.
Now I just want a full anime or series about Octopath Traveler or atleast a book. There’s so many hidden lore here especially about the Crossfords and the history of Hornburg. Still have a lot of questions. I’ll probably be hitting those reddit theories soon enough.
It’s finally time to dust off my switch games and play the next one in line

Hey now, I did warn you to keep the other team up to snuff. I just couldn't go into any more detail without spoiling the surprise completely~
Anyway, congratz on doing what the pantheon (...somehow?) could not! Nice to hear that you've enjoyed the game as much as you have.
The art on the official twitter page strongly implies that the bulk of team's going to be returning to the Bravely series next, though, so that mobile game will have to tide you over in regards to Octopath content for a good while. Whoops...

Gate of Finis: 2/8
Unholy Simeon
Unholy Miguel
Status update: Still alive, barely breathing.
SpoilerThe diaries.... I-I’m kinda shook
-
Update: The human form of stupidity that is I, left my laptop unplugged for two hours because of errands so it died yep and the dungeon is basically a gauntlet elite four type with no save points.
Prayed for a miracle on an autosave but
sigh. This kinda reminds me of my no saving traumas in past pokemon games. You think a person would learn by now. Fuey.

A lot has happened but alas. we are near the end of Octopath Traveler.
It was a journey full of sleepless nights
literallyyet, we are thou made it to the finale.Catch a glimpse of the final 4! The team that will be facing the Ruins of Horburg dungeon!
SpoilerPicking these four was a whole debate (with mostly myself) in the level of the supreme court I mean you really can't comprehend how long it took smh.
H'aanit > Olberic = Because of her summons and she's forever my main.
Cyrus > Tressa = This one was reallyyyy hard because Tressa had been the most useful till now. Cyrus just made the cut because of his analyze ability and great elemental attack stat.
Therion > Alfyn = Although I loved Alfyn's Concoct, Runelord was just really meant for Therion imo. Transfer rune really works well with his skills. I also had planned Tressa as Runelord, but Therion existed.
Ophilia > Primrose = Nggghhh I struggled with this one as well but Ophilia got that healer skills on the back already and she's soooo good as a support.
That's it! I'll update once I you know, miraculously survive the final dungeon. Going through the end game is always bittersweet but the excitement is always the same.
I'll surely miss OT! I'm getting the feels already. But let's just forget about the grinding part thank you.
-
...I misinterpreted 'Transfer Rune works really well with [Therion's] skills" as "Transfer Rune interacts with Therion's skills directly", and was really confused until I realized that were probably referring to Armor Corrosive's ability to increase the damage output of everyone across the board. Whoops. Bit of an important distinction, since Transfer Rune can affect some of the Travelers' skills the same way it effects the Runes themselves.
...Including Olberic's Incite, which kinda defeats the whole point of the move in the first place~
I will say that from a pure optimization standpoint, only one of your main team is in their "ideal Job". Though that isn't exactly too big a deal, seeing as I've yet to see even the most stringent powergamers bring themselves to give the Sorcerer to anyone other than Cyrus anyway (outside of themed runs that 'ban' him, of course). Guess nobody wants to lose out on Dr. Strange Lite, huh?
Though it is probably worth noting that said powergamers wouldn't be caught dead having someone as a Starseer in their final team- even with Shooting Stars (three elements, all at once in a single spell! What are you fools doing?!) and Steorra's Prophecy wrecking havoc, they still prefer to treat it as little more than a rocky road they have to suffer through in order to reach BP Eater. It's just kinda sad, really...
Anyway, good luck storming the Gate! Things are pretty tricky on the other side, but probably not a whole lot you haven't seen before, so be sure to give it all out!
...I do have one last bit of advice, but it is technically a mechanical spoiler, so don't open the tab if you want to go in completely fresh:
SpoilerDon't neglect the other 4 party members- you'll need all eight Travelers to overcome the Gate at last!
-
Yo, Steorra and Winnehild’s divine skill are so OP I could probably OHKO a single dungeon boss in using one of these moves. I do agree that I rarely use most of the Starseer’s skills but her divine skill and shooting star are so useful in battle sometimes and they do the job. So powergamers, you can’t sit with us.
SpoilerDon’t worry, I don’t plan to neglect them lol in fact I did level them up all the way to atleast 63-ish in case I ever need them and huzzah, I will do need them lol.
Thank you for the insight. Yea, my team is not really uber material for competitive cause so I’ll probably be switching it up and play with some synergies a bit more. Though I’ll probably stick with this one.
Thanks for accompanying through the end Autumn in a way
You kinda became my mentor this whole playthrough lol
-
Funny you should mention Winnehild's Battle Cry- that skill on Ha'anit is the strongest attack in the game~ Well, with a little bit of extra setup, anyway. But even without that, it is still a terrifyingly powerful barrage of blades from seemingly all directions, and it's really, really hard to stand strong against something like that!
Ah, don't worry about it! It's been pretty fun being to help out on my end.
