I forgot that Bastion event would start today. "Inglorious Bastion" 9/10 reference for the title.

I actually got around to watching the first two episodes of RWBY volume 6. Maybe I'll be able to keep up with it this time.

Well, somehow I've already got the 120 PVP wins in Duel Links for this month. Using Glad Beasts in Silver might be a bit cheap, but I'll take it.
I usually get tired of PVP before making to 80 or 90 wins, but now that I have enough backrow Glad Beasts are quite fun. I definitely want the new SR tickets since they have Wetlands, and the ranked URs are decent.....though I still don't know what to get.

Another Puppet Dance Performance playthrough update thing.....eh. I notice this shifted from 'talking about some of the features of the game as I came upon them' to 'summarize some of the story in the generalist sense and post screencaps/tracks'. I'm not sure why I switched but it seems I did this for the Fantasy Maiden Wars updates I did......though I never finished the last leg of the game after the absolute boss flash-mob that was Stage 73.
Past updates about this game:

After Yuuka essentially told us to get off her property and gave a vague hint about searching outside Gensokyo, it's time for another visit to Miss "Gives Concrete Hints on What to do Next". She recommends going to the Buddist temple that you passed through near the start of the game (when it was empty). Any chance to listen to 'Emotional Skyscraper' as a BGM is alright in my book
SpoilerNaturally before the head priest
Youkai JesusByakuren will tell us about the outer worlds of Touhou, you have to face her followers. Typical gym leader behavior. Not really much to say about the Buddhist crew, except that they are nowhere near as good of trainers as they were fighting units in Fantasy Maiden Warsminus Loud Doggo who wasn't around.I'm not sure I've mentioned how much I like the VS sprites in this game, but I'll mention it here, accompanied with a somewhat noble Shou and a very adorable NazarinSpoiler******

Time to face my starter Byuakuren.........who I just realized I left out a VS shot of. The bosses are definitely keeping the better A.I., but there wasn't anything particularly noteworthy about the battle. Thematically, she just used puppets of her and her followers, though that did provide some great coverage.
She does become the first person to really question what's so bad about the Puppet Incident, since they aren't malicious or harmful the environment. Hell, the only reason your character wants to solve it is that a special barrier is up to keep the puppets in (which also keeps you in).......though Byakuren's
SpoilerSpoilerSpoilerShe does tell us how to get to a world called Makai, and I find this great line from not-the-silent-protagonist
SpoilerThe way to Makai is behind the temple where you started the game from, behind the Snorlax obstacle I mentioned a few weeks back. Before that, have to say I love Kasen in Reimu's outfit
SpoilerBefore actually going there however, it's time to reface your rivals, Marisa and Reimu (the main canon Touhou Protagonists)......at least you can heal between them. I love Marisa's unique theme, a combo remix of 'Love Colored Master Spark' and Gen 1's Trainer Battle theme. She definitely improved since last time, now with her full SA helpers team......no Mima though.
SpoilerSpoilerReimu can't decide whether we are actually helping or making things worse/more confusing. Reimu's team is just as much of a pain to deal with as last time, made worse than her disgustingly powerful Skill-Link Aya is faster than mine and her puppet of herself still has that strange typing combination + Recover. That thing was more defensive than her actual defense oriented puppets
SpoilerSpoilerSpoilerWell, the other two know how to enter other worlds, so they decide to check them out while you explore Makai

I love how speedrunning Super Mario Bros (and many other older games) has been boiled down to such an exact science. Also seems like the human limit for S.M.B. may be pretty much reached unless new tricks are discovered.
-
A while back I remember watching Sethbling doing speedrun stuff for Super Mario World with increasingly crazy glitches and methods being found and used, world records bouncing between people and new categories being spawned. I think it got to the point of doing specific actions in level 1 to write and execute hexcode to play the credits

So, Muv-Luv finally made it into an SRW game? Sure, it's the gacha-style, dumping-ground game where many series that will likely never be in a main SRW game end up being put, but it's better than nothing I guess.
-
So, apparently the 'Aku No Hana' manga is getting a live action adaption. Didn't the series suffer enough with the atrocious, rotoscoped anime adaption? Another one to add to pile of cringy disappointment.
Granted, the series is grounded in reality, so it's not like a live action version will have to adapt fantasy elements with effects.......eh.

Thank you Officer Trudge, for being such a good reward/exp/skill pinata. You were much more generous than the edgelord.
Still can't get over this drop

For the first time since starting Duel Links, I am out of gems completely. orz
Time to go into Ultra Save mode......

Well, at least I got enough for a working XX Saber deck, a type of Blue Eyes deck, and finally a Glad Beast deck (while also thinning the box to get a second Cosmic Cyclone............if I build up the gems again).
Along with maybe finally putting the Madolches in a deck, I guess I have enough to not just stick to what I've been using (mostly Aliens and Gem Knights, and Aromamages). Come to think of it, I never played around with Red-Eyes, Six Sams, or D-heros (mostly because D-heros were everywhere) despite having enough for a decent deck. At least I have stuff to play around with if I ever finally put the decks together.
Still, I hope the next few boxes don't have good stuff.......and that the next events (KC cup) are gem-heavy.

While looking at two channels that had Touhou arranges, I found that they both also had some mecha ones. Everything-went-better-than-expected.png.
