I've heard the game isn't the best gameplay-wise, but damn did they nail the credits song with the not-Skeletor final boss.

Wow Konami decided to beat Amazoness and Fur Hires into the ground with this rebalancing in Duel Links. Now Amazoness are one Cosmic Cyclone away from losing in most matchups, along with making their Onslaught searcher semi. As much as I like the archetype and am glad they got their time in the spotlight, they are getting annoying to face. It is a near killing blow to the most viable budget deck, but others will take it's place in time......even if they aren't Tier 1.
They also finally decided to pull their heads out their asses and semi-limit the main Fur Hire that was giving people problems.....or at least me, Wiz the dream crusher. With both it and frontrow destroyer on the semi-limited list, the deck finally be more manageable, at least until new support comes to Duel Links. Hey Trunade in the same spot will also prevent Fur Hires from just running both and making backrow floodgates (the only way to counter their swarming) useless.
Oh, and I guess D-Heros got a knock, though fusion was usually only a 'just in case' backup in most D-hero decks I've face in case Anaki spam was interrupted.

The fact that The Backstreet Boys had two songs in an anime's OP and End is very......odd for me. And Radiohead too, I suppose.

Well, this happened. Thanks RNG-sus.......and I guess Konami. Strangely, I got 4 Psychic Aces from this event before getting 2 Monster Reborn Reborn from both events.
Also, looks like the EX structure deck is out..........and is actually purchasable by gems. It's 1000 gems, but eh.
You get 2 Dragon Spirit of White, a copy of the other relevent "Blue Eyes"/ normal-monster support cards, and an extra Birthright, so one copy isn't too bad........though just getting one deck for the actual money might be the better deal in this case.

Decided to spend some of my free time today continuing further into Puppet Dance Performance: Shard of Dreams. Just because I felt like making a list of the statuses about the game so far, as vague and rambling as they have been.

Following one of few genuinely difficult boss fights in while, being a literal mirror match with Satori, we are given permission to enter the Underground's nuclear power plant? (or at least the control center) where the Puppet Liberation Front
not Team Plasmahas taken over........and nobody really takes them seriously enough to be bothered to do anything about them. Cue a trapsy though a blazing Hell....that's literally the name....where I am relieved to find that I stocked up on the game's Super Repel equivalent. Not much to note, exept that the Hell Fairy portrait is cute.SpoilerAt the end of the path, we have to face Utsuho, the nuclear crow that maintains the reactor and isn't doing her job......until we show up and want to get past. Given the absolute hell that she caused me as the pen-ultimate and then final boss of Fantasy Maiden Wars 3, I was ok with how straightforward the fight was. I did lose a puppet or two, due to having to switch out and her team essentially being hyper-offensive, but it wasn't too bad, especially since they were still about 10 levels behind my team.
SpoilerThe fight didn't even have it's own theme, since Utsuho's theme has been used as the remixed trainer battle theme for named characters all game. It's good but not unique at this point.
SpoilerThe Liberation Front leader was expecting us and set an ambush,
SpoilerWhat she didn't expect was Reimu (main character of Touhou and one of our two rivals in this game) busting at the same time. Medicine, Team 9, and the Three Fairies of Light scatter and we split up to hold them off. Unfortunately for the latter groups, they split off without their whole group.....and some of them really suffer for it. Some sreencaps with a few possible funny bits.
SpoilerSpoilerSpoilerCompared to when she was essentially the first real boss fight of the game, Rumia's team was pathetic this time. She even only had 2 puppets instead of the 5 she had. This wasn't even a boss-rush kind of deal, since there was a bed to heal in a short walk away. It was hinted that the Liberation Front worked on a "loser releases their puppets" deal, though I didn't think an organization of fairies that mostly joined for something to do really would follow it......poor Rumia.
SpoilerJust because I have to post their themes again
SpoilerSpoilerI'll end this update by covering the first(?) fight with the Puppet Liberation Front leader, Medicine. I don't know the full story, but considering her canon self is Youkai of an abandoned doll that has a vague goal of a "doll liberation" it makes sense she would put together the game's not-Team Plasma.
As for the actual fight itself, it was more challenging than most of the other fights in the game.....though only a few have personally reached a "challenging" mark
especially since the new typings still mix me up.Her A.I. was significantly better than most, actually using switching to it's advantage, which only Reimu, Sanae, and Satori's A.I. did before now. She had status spreaders and good coverage moves that successfully caught me by surprise. Even if the level gap was still there, it was a good fight.SpoilerShe promptly escapes through a back way that was blocked by guards earlier and escaped somewhere..............

Another KOG player faced........using a Fur Hire deck. Well, they can't all be winners, in decks or in actually winning the duel.
-
I couldn't sleep, so I grinded some more points on the Duel Carnival event. Somehow, I beat the second KOG player I've dueled against too. Granted, this one was using a gimmicky anti-trap deck instead of a typical meta deck, like the D-hero/Aniki spam the last KOG player
lost withused. Of course, I subsequently lost to the first Weevil burn player I've seen in months, so that spoiled it a tad. Also, I forgot exactly what red names stood for. I think yellow-orange was for getting KOG at some point, and I kind of feel like red was for an admin or something but overall that's just a guess atm.

Satori's theme is probably the last I would associate with any kind of Metal cover (not sure where Intense Symphonic Metal falls on a scale), but this one works enough.

Well, after almost 15 power flashes throughout the night, it managed to take out my power for a bit right after making this post. Thankfully, my dad borrowed a small generator that miraculously worked until it came on........I wasn't sure whether to trust it, but it came through. Once again, no major damage to the area (at least that I saw during a short ride through town), though there are a lot more tree limbs all over the place.

Well, the rainbands seem to have reached my area. Second hurricane (though soon to be Tropical Storm) this year to get around my area. I would rather it not get here during the night, but I certainly can't control that. Here's hoping nothing major happens and the power stays on. At least this one is going fast over land, instead of the snail's pace of the last one.

The Duel Carnival matched me to face a KOG player.....somehow I won.

I did not expect the translation of FMW stage 73 to come out in the middle of the day, but I definitely don't mind considering how long this stage seemed to have taken them......or how long it took me when I did it.
It seems they are finally caught up to where I stopped, so I will have to go back and finish the last few stages at some point.
