  1. Adeline went in with the others, whistling a bit at the state of the place. "Looking at this place, how long you guys think until we run into demons? Minutes, at best." she commented (not sounding all that worried about it) as she took a look around and followed the others. She was a bit worried about looking for an angel - she'd learned very well their default reaction to even half-demons. She shrugged at the wrestler-guy's comments - there probably was a fight in whatever rooms branched off from this one. Was just how these things went; demons were either too dumb to actually ambush people, or too prideful to do it, with little in-between. Hence, very predictable presence. She would follow the group - she was tougher than a human, but far from invincible. If that guy thought he could handle traps, let him give it a go.
  2. Even if Kaede couldn't quite figure out what she got out of it, Alva did at least seem happy at the agreement. "Sure, we can try and find some books you'll like together! I'm not sure if I'll pick the same ones as Arturia, but variety can't hurt right?" she said with a smile. They could just stay here, yeah, but what was the fun in that? Alva wanted to do something fun with Kaede, she liked books. Connect two and two. Alva would then lead the way to the library, Kaede in tow assuming she followed. She did make a conscious effort to slow down - Kaede seemed to get... kinda overwhelmed by her normal speed, after all.
  3. Eleanor had wanted to give Henrietta a shot at... whatever it was she wanted. But that evidently hadn't worked out. "Not really new, no. Just not in the mood right now." she said. She moved very quickly as the man raised his shotgun. One moment, the noblewoman seemed totally relaxed, unconcerned by the situation. The next her hand flashed to her holsters, her pistols were in her hands, and they were aimed right at the guy with the shotgun. "Time for some fun, yes?" she said with a smirk as she pulled the triggers to blow the man away - a wonderful way to kick things off, if she said so herself.
  4. Alva and Kaede were left alone in the dorm room. While Alva could just... talk, with Kaede (and she didn't mind the thought), she'd kinda been in there for a while already... so she turned to Kaede and asked a question. "Hey, Kaede? You wanna go somewhere else to just... be together for a bit I guess? Maybe the library, I haven't been there in a while..." Kaede seemed to really like books, so it seemed the logical place to go to.
  5. "Good to meet you." A taller, well-dressed as adventurers went, woman said to the others, glancing between them all. "My name is Eleanor Julia Flores. I so look forward to us working together. Our success is practically assured already!" she spoke casually, with a gleam of excitement to it. "I trust you're all aware of what the good sir means, about what comes next? I don't dare think he expects us to handle it the usual way, so this shall be some fun, no?"
  6. "Soda or- nevermind, have fun with that." Adeline said as she glanced around at the others. Were they all demon hunters? Well, looks could be deceiving - she was pretty sure she just looked like a random girl just out of her teens, not a badass, and here she was. She and Brigitte had just... walked, like normal people. Much more reasonable than ponying up for a pilot nuts enough to fly close to Hellscape these days. She didn't particularly care for drugs, at least not just then. Demon hunting, for her at least, required at least a modicum of self control which cocaine was not exactly known for granting. "Adeline Lughaidh! Here to kick demon ass!" She smiled confidently, slamming a fist into an open palm for emphasis.
  7. "...I am so confused." Neve said simply. This... well, it hadn't been what she expected when she entered the room. It was certainly better than that, but still, she had not forseen a magical power show and tell. "I can't say I've seen most of you around - Neve Aileen Harvest, archer extraordinaire, at your service!" she stood and took a theatric bow. Then she glanced over at Candide. "...I bowed in greeting, sir knight." she explained for his benefit.
  8. "...Y'all realize I got a gun right? No need ta get all that close." Airi said. If somehow the others on the attack didn't kill it, she would fire a couple rounds into it's head. Assuming also they got out of the way.
  9. "High energy detected. Dodging recommended." The pod said in a monotone - 6D was already on it, leaping away from the Judge to give a clear shot. And, well, the battle was just over then. She paused for a few moments as the Judge dropped, still in a combat stance. When it became clear that he wasn't going to pop up in a new form or turn out to not be dead after all, she relaxed, her sword flashing out of her hand and back onto her back. "That wasn't that bad, honestly." she said - systems reported no damage worth noting, and the superficial stuff was already being repaired. "What Mira said! We're here to help. Do you know anything about what happened to them? Any hint at why he went for you or who he's working for?" she paused for a moment then added on something else. "Oh, and are you both ok?"
  10. Well. That was... overwhelming, more than a little bit. How does one respond to that kind of thing? She was unsure what to say, how to say it. But the stewardess was here, and apparently looking for such things. "...I... I see. Are you the only one who's come, or are there others hanging around the party that I don't know about?" She said, discretely putting off the question she was fairly sure was coming.
  11. Neve really, really struggled not to laugh. That was... incredibly rude and if it was done probably shouldn't have been when the man was in the room. But it was just so funny. "M-Maybe... this isn't the greatest place for that..." Neve stammered, trying to suppress her own laughter at it. "Although it certainly lightens the mood..."
  12. Neve had been... more than a little nervous, when she was summoned. She shouldn't have been, she knew. She was a knight, and a loyal one. She might not have been as skilled as her sister but she commanded at least some respect for skill. But, well... her family's position was rather well known, or at least commonly suspected. She glanced around, and felt her chest tighten a bit. One of Merlin's apprentices... a dragonborn... she really hoped this wasn't what it was beginning to look like to her. Of course, Rosanne would never do such things, but the fear was there. The appearance of a fairly normal looking... knight? He looked like a knight. That reassured her a bit. And she wasn't aware of any connections between half-fae and the traitor. And the butler's courtesy nearly had her sigh in relief. It wasn't what she'd worried about. So what was this about? "Thank you." she muttered quietly as she was passed tea - she did in fact notice the tonal shift for the part-humans, which was less annoying to her and more confusing - why the difference? She nearly asked aloud, but caught herself - it'd probably seem ignorant, or at least rude, which was not what she wanted to portray. She was still nervous, but the tea was calming. Shortly, the queen herself appeared and took her place at the table. And then, they were right into it - she was too serve directly under the Queen. The clear indication, even statement, at trust helped to ease the nerves a bit, but the following words were serious. An invasion, on top of the rebellion... that was just wonderful wasn't it, as if they didn't have enough to deal with. But the Queen herself was going out to protect her country, and it did help to allay her concerns over whether she'd made the right choice. When the question of whether they would join came up, she did hesitate, just for a moment. But that passed quickly as the others spoke. "Of course I will, Queen Rosanne. I will aid you to the best of my ability, and I thank you for the opportunity to prove my loyalty and skill." She tried to speak confidently, not sure if she'd succeeded, but she was sure she at least sounded mostly right. "The people of this country need our help - how can a knight refuse?"
  13. (Mug is work in progress, PS/PF names pending) "This is going to be a real show for you guys!"
  14. Airi heads into the room, gun raised and pointed towards the door with the noises. It felt weird, suddenly having the skill to use the thing right, but she wasn't about to complain about it. "Well, sitting here talkin' about it ain't gonna help much, but I figure it's smart for the one with a gun to not be the one ta kick in a door. Clear shot and all." she said. "Which way ya guys think is to the armory? Think it's gonna be the one soundin' all scary?"
  15. The shield was weak now, so it was time to strike - not that striking was much 6D's bag. But she could do it, when it was needed. Seeing Iowa knocked aside, she dashed forward, running her Confrontation Protocol and hoping that that wasn't something he could resist after it was used on him. Otherwise, this would need to be quick. Free action: Confrontation Protocol on the Judge. Free Action: Pod does 2d4 damage to the Judge. Apply Retaliation Protocol to Self. Lightning speed count: 3. Extra action! Attack with Type-4O Blade.
  16. Cecily groaned, getting on her feet with Baldur's help and mounting up again. "Thanks. Archers, wyverns... don't mix well, you know?"
