  1. Beatrix attacks the swordsman, blasting a hole in his gut. His sword clatters to the ground at her feet. Marl prepares to take a shot at anyone getting too close... Enemy Phase: The last remaining enemies make their last stand, pulling back from the door (besides the axeman) to try and do some damage before they go down. The archer steps into Marl's range, and he takes a shot! The archer then takes his own shot at Cassidy. He doesn't live long enough to regret it, as two knives find his eyes. The cultist just takes another blast at Alwine, hoping to do something. Shockingly, he manages to bring the woman down, as temporary a victory as that might be. The axeman finishes the door, only to find a bunch of armed guards inside. "...I didn't think this through." Up the hall, the clash continues! The sneaks get a bit brave, what with the few surviving guards. Ally Phase Up in the hall, the archers manage to take out one of the thieves - protecting the king's treasures seems the best they can do with the time they have left. "You bastards, you killed Ken!" Back at the guard post, Shin takes a step forward. "Not so tough without half a company at your back, huh!?" he shouted, before blasting fire at the axeman. A lot of fire. Someone needed to let off some steam. "...I told you I knew how to make an entrance!" He never had. Player Phase Player Status (87/100 XP): Enemy Status:
  2. After finding her wounds patched up, Cecily decided to go and get someone back - "Need some help?" Cecily rescues Reiko, and cantos to M7
  3. "What the others said - there was no kidnapping, we just ran into you and you attacked. A lot, you made a lot of bullets... but yeah, where did you get the thing that Masako put in your hat? Until you dropped it, you were aggressive... Oh, and I'm Hikari, sorry for not introducing myself."
  4. Satomi, while the rest of the party were either entirely caught up in their own conversation or stuffing fliers into people's hands, decided to take what she was as the best approach - nail the things wherever they'd fit in high traffic places. Crossroads, or next to wells, and a bunch next to anywhere selling alcohol. She did slip some lines into Ke and Kyou's conversation when she had a chance, though - it was interesting. "From the Ruins, huh? I suspected, but wasn't all that sure. Not many people live there, and few of those leave it, from what I've heard. I barely even saw anyone besides bears when I was there."
  5. Satomi rubbed her forehead. Right. They were already... doing all this. Perhaps she, Kyou, and Beverly should have signed on with a less insane group. But beggars can't be choosers. Because of course they were. So, right, flyers. Easy enough. A bit beneath the kind of thing she could do, like a flashy light show to draw attention or something, but she had been assigned a job and she would do it. "So... flyers, right?" she repeated, taking a stack as she confirmed that she had the job right. "Kyou, Beverly, want to come with? I think we can get the most effect if we put them in the places with the most foot traffic. Oh, and, uh-" What was her name, what was her name, she should remember her name- "Ke. You can come too if you want? That way one of us can do some talking, if you're not comfortable with it." She kinda understood that, she was always more interested in books than people herself. And also she was curious about the girl. But back on task - she was already going through the areas they'd seen in her head, figuring out which places people would frequent - crossroads, taverns, wells... she'd walked off without actually remembering to check if they were with her.
  6. "Right, gotta get this right the first time... Hello! Satomi Hashimoto, nice to meet you. I'm here to help."
  7. Cecily saw her chance - she urged Myrdwyn forward to attack, raising her weapon. A few hundred pounds of scales and teeth would hopefully do a lot for the fight! Cecily move to M9 and attack Mage B, canto to O9
  8. 6D looked between the two directions people were going, not sure where to go - but her particular skills would be more of use against fewer, powerful enemies, and going after Trick seemed in line with that, so she went with Mira, Isobel, and Lyra.
  9. Shiro attacks the mage. Elizabeth heals Bradwr! Alwine steps forward and makes the knight regret his positioning. The helmet crunches, and the man falls. Cassidy darts forward, yoinks an interesting lucky charm from the knight, and retreats. Cassidy gains a Rabbit’s Foot (+1 LUK when used) Aidan burns a knight, bits of melted armor sloughing off. Beatrix sends a blast of dark magic towards the Axeman - it seems to take the form of some kind of dark axe, before making contact with the man’s skull. Winston charges down the archer, who is unable to get a shot off before being ran through with a lance. Johan steps forward, singing a battle ballad and reinvigorating Beatrix and Aidan! Aidan steps forward again, and blasts the swordsman in the face. Player Status: 73/100 XP Enemy Status
  10. "Just holding off invaders? Well, Myrdwyn, this shouldn't be that hard..." N6
  11. “Careful guys; we can’t underestimate them.” Neve said as she double checked her bow and moved up. This was the first contact with the rebels. She took a deep breath. She wouldn’t fail. G11
  12. "A noble who cannot duel is not worthy of the name!" Eleanor said, "But then, the staged ones many prefer were never as interesting as real ones, so I took some lessons." The close confines of the cabin were not an ideal place for her sword, but then, just then collateral didn't strike as much of a concern; Eleanor lunged, feinting left before making her real strike from the right, trying to get past her guard.
  13. Cecily took a deeeep breath. In, and out, in, out. Don't punch the asshole. Don't punch the asshole. For the first time, he actually had a point, but she wasn't about to take his side when he was such a colossal shit about it. So she just put on her mask - she kept it on her person most times. There are more pressing concerns. "Deciding to just ignore me. Classy. That's not going to stop me - we are going to have a chat after this." She was making an effort to keep her composure; she had quite a bit of self control, but Baldur was straining it significantly.
  14. Cecily groaned. "They're here. We're not about to stab them I should hope, so we're gonna end up talking to them at the least. Masks go on. Queen or no, we're not exactly a legal group and showing our faces to her or her guard," The latter seemed directed at Justine - putting aside whether they could trust the Queen (which she didn't, but she wasn't about to push on that), there was absolutely no grounds to trust the guard, "Is begging for something to go wrong." "As for you Baldur... I don't know what made you think that was a good idea. I don't know what made you think that was acceptable - you act high and mighty but seem to forget how to solve things by words." Literally the only reason she wasn't punching him was because they had more pressing matters. "It might have been hasty, but magically shoving her out of the doorway? Are you serious? We have more pressing things to attend to but there are going to be words."
  15. Airi's loadout was fairly easy to decide on - she grabbed onto as many clips of ammo for her gun as there were and she could carry, as well as several more grenades of various types. It felt very weird to just, know what she was doing as she checked and rechecked the gun, ammo, and grenades, but she wasn't about to complain about it.
  16. "Eleanor Julia Flores! A pleasure, but I have to say - you're not nearly as subtle as most assassins. Things not going as planned, hm?" She smirked, and hit the switch on her sword to set the serrated teeth spinning, trying to cut through the claws. If that didn't work, she'd try and manuever to get between her and the door - and also give Nemesis a clear shot on the assassin. Confident in her abilities in a one on one as she was, she was less certain the man wouldn't keep shooting and accidentally hit her in the back.
  17. Cecily sighed as well. "Yeah, never like this... I should have tried to stop it from getting that out of hand..." she waved vaguely, "But can't change what's done. The new guys seem... mostly stable, at least?"
  18. Eleanor raised an eyebrow at the woman who had just crashed through the window. She didn't look very friendly - "Can I help you?" . As the woman lunged, Eleanor activated her jet boots, suddenly bursting backwards and rapid firing her pistols at the assassin as she dashed backwards. She would then duck out of the way of Nemesis' shot, holstering her pistols in order to draw her sword and bring it to a guarding position. "Well, aren't you a rude one?" she said with a smirk, "Attacking a lady without even introducing yourself? You need to be taught a lesson!"
  19. Cecily returned the look, with every bit as much ice. She didn't say a word, not really thinking she'd keep her cool if she did. But there would be words later, when there had been a chance to cool off.
  20. Cecily nodded and followed Kane downstairs, as he asked about how she was... "Yeah... I mean to talk with her later, see how she's doing. She can handle herself well enough, but...." she trailed off while Kane asked how she was doing. "Resisting the sincere temptation to feed Baldur to Myrdwyn." "I appreciate it. Honestly, I'm getting kinda worried about the group. I knew our connections were... somewhat tenuous, but well, that whole... business..." she seemed to have a lot more she could call it than that, "That... well, that wasn't exactly putting our best foot forward for the new people was it?"
  21. Cecily... well, she was, to put it lightly, furious with Baldur. For... well, just about everything, but particularly what had happened with him and Justine. The only reason she didn't go and give him a piece of her mind was that she was honestly unsure she'd be able to restrain herself from feeding him to Myrdwyn - so she'd give some time to cool off before she did that, at least so the wounds wouldn't be physical ones. Instead, Cecily went up to the top floor to let herself cool a bit, running into Kane while he was up there. "Oh, hey. You need help with anything?"
  22. "I get what you mean," Neve said in response to Candide, "I hope it goes well..." Neve would proceed to head into town, asking around about "Lancelot the Black". She had to admit, she was curious what the man would be like when they found him. What would be his stance on the struggle? Would he even have one, or would he just want to be left alone like... she shook her head, moving on. The redheaded archer wished she had her horse around - it would be a bit comforting, at least.
