  1. "Alert: Enemy appears to be immune to statuses previously inflicted." the pod chimed in. "Recommend not repeating ailment attacks." 6D didn't respond, a bit busy for that. Interception Protocol: Target Bridgett. The next two attacks targetted at Bridgett will go to 6D instead. Lightning Speed Count: 2 Pod does 2d4 damage.
  2. "I can't imagine why. Kaede's a little... different, to be honest, but I don't think it's in a bad way!" Alva... honestly seemed a little annoyed at these unnamed past roommates. Of course, she didn't know the circumstances. "The rumors are bullshit." She nodded, more to herself than anyone in the room. Then blushed a little with embarassment. "...Sorry for swearing." She said, as if it was a bigger issue than it was. Alva winced a little as the conversation turned back to the church. "...Yeah. I can't disagree on that... threatening death at a drop of a hat? That's just not ok." Alva did not like receiving death threats. She also didn't like that apparently that happened often enough for her to make an informed opinion on it (well, in the first case it was a human sacrifice threat, but same difference)
  3. "You can have it rough later - now's probably not the time!" Cecily said as she swooped in and basically picked up her sister. M28, rescue Justine, canto to N29!
  4. "Left it is!" Airi said, near the front of the group by virtue of being the only one currently armed with a real weapon. "Mister Detective Vision, you just say if you see the cache, yeah?" she said.
  5. Airi was, for the most part, ready to go. She mentally checked her ammo - she probably knew how many bullets went into a clip of this gun, right? - and stood straight, walking back over to Orchid. "Ready to go, yeah. No use sticking around here right? Orchid, you up to go?" she asked. She was ready, but she was more worried about her friend.
  6. Airi kinda cocked her head at the person tearing sheets off. "...So what's the plastic ponchos for?" she asked. Bites? Were these bite-y zombies?
  7. Airi paused for a few seconds, looking at the man with something like incredulity. "...Well fuck that guy then, but yer in it now."
  8. "Well, goin' from what ta voice with an internet connection was saying, we are the rescue team." Airi said, as she continued to basically manhandle him onto his feet. "And yeah, what that guy said, ya read the contract yeah?" she asked. "Anyways, hope ya can do somethin', cause I figure stickin' around here's a good way to get your face eaten if this is what it sounds like."
  9. Airi stood, as the lethal force authorization sent a shudder down her back, and it was explained what had been done to her. ...She really could have been more bothered by that, but her main reaction was to rap a knuckle on her leg and see if it clanged. "...Ya know, I can work with this." she said, standing straight and stretching. Nothing felt all that different, besides the weird weight shifts, and she lifted her gun. "Maybe Mister Screams is one of those survivors they mentioned?" she said. With a parting pat on Orchid's head, a flash of a smile to tell her everything was ok with her, she walked over to the bed and pretty much dragged the man out from underneath it. "Hey, mister, I get ta feelin' yer not gonna wanna be stayin' under there when we leave."
  10. Get out of the way of the attack, then use Session on Marisa (Masako, Rory, and Ritsu have Session)
  11. Airi had not expected that. "Huh?" she said as she felt the fingers. Why was she - why did that feel nice? She allowed it to continue for a few moments, but she did eventually say something. "I, um, Orchid? I ain't a dog..." she said in an embarassed tone. Although she didn't disengage... Well, not until the intercom came alive again and hurt her ears again. She jumped in the seat. The hell? "We're startin' already? No training or nothin'?" she asked. She wasn't going to complain too much about the job - she signed up for this, after all. She knew damn well when she took the offer she wasn't looking at running logistics for the PMC or anything, she was going to combat. Still, so quickly? She looked at the others, and then again at the intercom, although the guy likely couldn't see her. "Do I at least get ta know what ya actually did? Like, I feel the connection to the gun like yer guys said I would, but not sure what kinda combat enhancements it is 'sides the legs."
  12. Airi just hugged her and pat her on the back. It was the least she could do for someone that had helped her out so much when she was a teenager. "I'm sure that you'll be able to ask what they did soon enough. She wasn't about to let her get all wrapped up in her own worries. Her ears twitched a little - man, that was weird. But it seemed physical changes were all she got too, no memories seemed out of place, she was still herself and Orchid was Orchid.
  13. "I'm sure whatever they done it ain't ta yer mind. I mean, listen to these people! If they was screwin' with minds, wouldn't they've made Miss Pretty Pink Pony or Mister Screams more comfortable or somethin'? They ain't done shit to what makes you you." Airi grinned and brought Orchid in for a hug, knowing she probably needed one but would never ask. Or maybe she didn't need one and she just wanted to hug her friend. Either or.
  14. Airi plopped down on the bed beside her friend, loathe to get off her legs but they evidently had a bit of time yet. "You feel anythin' different, 'sides the headaches bein' gone? Like I'm mostly normal, but I still feel weird 'bout the gun and some weight got shifted 'round." she said. Seeing all the weirder changes, she was a little worried for her friend - although it seemed there were also some pretty reasonable ones going around.
  15. "Ehehe, looks've been all I got goin' for me last couple of years!" Airi said, before the idea of military programs came up. "Seems likely! They said something about combat augmentation when they gave me my choices, and being really good with a gun..." she bent over and picked up the submachine gun that was at her bedside - for a moment, she she moved automatically, making sure the gun was in good condition (and discovering it was loaded) and importantly, not in a state she might misfire. Then it was over and she was back to normal. "...Well wasn't that a trip..." she muttered, then shook her head. "Anyways, I'm gonna be honest I was expectin' robot legs or somethin'. Woulda been fine with that ta be honest, but glad I look mostly myself. Airi Lane, nice ta meet y'all."
  16. "I'm glad it worked out for ya!" Airi said cheerfully, jumping from foot to foot. "Gonna be honest, I was a little worried with how tight lipped they were bein' about what we were actually doin', but..." she paused, "Well, guess it coulda turned out weirder than lookin' foxy. In a different way than normal, I mean, haha!" she seemed unashamedly cheerful at how things went for her, until the intercom turned on and she winced at how the harsh crackle hit her new set of ears. "Ow, ow I guess them ears are workin right!"
  17. Airi blinked as she took in the rest of the group. Who seemed to have gone through in much less normal condition than she had. She saw... a small child who claimed to have been the massive tank, some kind of walking animal, a talking pink pony... wow, that was some variety of outcome. She felt her ears twitch a little as they were pointed out. "What're ya talkin- oooh, I feel them, yeah that's kinda weird as shit." she said. Now where was... She grinned wider. "Orchid, lookin' fine! Looks like ya didn't change all that much either. How's everythin' feelin'? I have my legs back! My legs!" The changes that had happened to her, the apparent bullets she'd dodged with the others, that didn't matter. "...Oh, yeah, yer mighty pink miss pony. Like, really really pink."
  18. Airi was always an early riser, the sort that got up on Monday morning and pissed everyone off by not being a zombie. So it was surprising to her that she felt so heavy when she was waking up. Man, that must have been some heavy anesthesia. But she didn't feel any pain even on her legs... she could feel her legs. She could feel her legs. She shot upright as she noticed that, and touched her legs, rubbing them. She could feel them. She didn't dare believe it. She tried to move... and her leg responded effortlessly, swinging off of the bed. She couldn't help but laugh with sheer glee. "Haha! It worked, it worked!" she said, with a big smile on her face. She felt like she could sing as she jumped to her feet, although she didn't because she had a terrible singing voice. She did notice two things. She still felt heavier, even awake. She also felt... something, important feeling? Right next to her bed. She glanced over, and saw what looked to be a gun by her bedside. Well, good to know that was there, she guessed. She looked around, and blinked. "...Huh. Y'all the folks who were in the waiting room earlier?" she asked. Most of them had changed... a lot more than she seemed to. She still looked basically human... and didn't seem to notice the fox ears or tail.
  19. "...Yeah, is that weird?" Alva asked, legitimately curious. "We got along well in the camp, after she helped me with my arm. She was... really helpful to me, and I felt really... safe, when she was with me." Alva blushed a little bit, and glanced over to Kaede. "We talked a bit when I got here, and I think we're officially friends!" Her tone was shockingly cheerful for one who had been in the same room as Kaede for as long as she had. "I hope we can get along well too!"
  20. Alva nodded. Alright, none of her business she guessed. She was curious, of course, but she shouldn't pry. "Ah, that's good. That she's not hurt I mean, not that she's had that bad of a day." Alva said, wandering over to her bed and sitting down. She frowned for a moment - she was forgetting something... oh, right! "...I don't think I ever introduced myself to you? I'm Alva, I'm going to be in this room from now on! Kaede and I were in the same cabin during the camp and I heard you needed a new roommate!" Not the whole reason of course, but... well that'd be tough to explain now wouldn't it? Alva absentmindedly grabbed one of her plushes, the cat one, and held it close. She felt a bit calmer already...
  21. Alva breathed a sigh of relief soon after Kindle left. The threat of death had passed, and she was alone with the others. "That was scary..." she shivered a little. "...Uh, it's fine! If she needs help then I'm happy to try!" Then Alva paused. She looked at Lilith and thought for a moment. "...Isn't she the one that dislocated my arm... probably by accident?" she asked. Not that that at all changed her opinion that they should try and help. It was serious business if someone was unconscious, probably way worse problem than just a hurt shoulder. "Is she hurt or something? Should we bring her to a nurse?"
  22. For some reason, the shouting seemed to invigorate 6D. She couldn't just sit there and let him assault the team. She staggered to her feet, nodded to Atton in thanks, and dashed forward. Induce Rage on the Judge. Pod does 2d4 damage to the Judge. Lightning Strike Count: 1
  23. Hey look it's a character. I'm trying something a lil different from "generic nice girl" which is what I usually do
  24. "Alert. Machine lifeform appears resistant to concussive effects." The Pod said helpfully as the Judge didn't take any visible concern at 6D's normally-stunning strike. "You don't say?" The android girl had just enough time to move before the hammer came down - it was a glancing blow, compared to what it could have been, but a glancing blow that sent her flying into a tree. Her head snapped back with the collision in a way that would be concerning if she was human, and damage reports and error messages floated across her vision as her self repair systems kicked in to repair the damage. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be fast enough to get her back on her feet quickly. --Stun removed--
