    Taka has a split story, depending on whether you battled him in the Water treatment center or not. Those events that you are referring to and which weren't triggered probably belong to the other storyline.

    Later in the game, there is a silver key card to be found (I believe it is in Ametrine mountain). It will open a secret door in Coreys gym. There you can find his diary and learn more about him. Though in order to get it, you first need to find Coreys silver wedding ring. I think thats hidden in his Gym as well.

    Its important for the plot to beat him...if you want to experience the full story, you should try to find all of the police officers before you fight Taka and ZEL. This will change both, Coreys dialogue and battle. Later on in the game, you have a chance to discover his true background story. Though what the consequences are and how this will affect his daughter is still unknown.

    She didnt die. Her soul was erased. Thats worse. Though perhaps she will return later in the new world.

    Combine both of them with Tyranitar if you want a good Sandstorm-Team. Especially since Hardy will probably use the Dragons Den field.

    @L'Belle You healed Alola-Ninetales by two points. You can hurt with two points, but heal only with one. Thats the rules. And only once per day.

    Its extremely rare, but it can be found at ice cream vendors from time to time. Im afraid you'll just have to be patient.

    Given how hard it is for us to find and battle some of the Gym leaders in Reborn, how is it possible that all the trainers we meet have Pokemon at a Level thats about equal to ours? Wouldn't they all require the gym badges as well in order for their Pokemon to listen to them?

      It's one of those necessary immersion for gameplay tradeoffs, like levels themselves

      If you want to get into that, then you'd have to acknowledge the fact that the trainer levels are...ludicrous. All trainers miraculously are all similar leveled to you when people are free to explore and move around. It's a gameplay mechanic merely designed to premote variety in Pokemon teams and a means to grind.

      It would have been more logical to establish it as some form of actual law in the Pokemon world like: "Those who challenge the league have the obligation to keep their Pokemon underneath a certain level for fairness, otherwise their Pokegear will detect it and emit an ultra sonic noise only to be heard by the over-leveled Pokemon which will cause the Pokemon to go frenzy and disobey. Those who dont challenge the league are free to train their Pokemon to whichever level they like." In my opinion, something like this would make a little more sense, as it would also explain why veteran trainers such as Victoria who choose to challenge the league have to begin from a low level again, while other trainers who dont try to earn the badges such as the Elite 4 can have Pokemon at maximum level if they want to.

    Each time I try to access "Online Play" my game just gives me the message that its unable to connect to the server. Guess that means no Gastly for me then. :-( Thanks for the offer though.

    Try using a Pokemon with Perish Song or Destiny Bond if you are stuck on Swalot.

    Will Gastly be available in Episode 18? I would like one too, but I can wait if it will be included in the game by then.
