  1. I nearly destroyed my save tinkering with RPG maker and V8. Proceed with caution. (Just lucky I somehow found 8.1)
  2. So um. What is everyone's preparation for V9. For me it's cheat engine and abusing time mechanics. I am EV training my own mons tho because I've heard it helps.
  3. Woah. Escavelier was no pushover on Crawli's team. It's just Araquanid will be way better. Also. If Araquanid has any speed investment, it can't go on Crawli's team in normal. It would be busted. Rain plus water bubble plus liquidation. That's actually a crazy combo.
  4. If it helps, Intense mode Crawli is DEFINITELY getting an araquanid.
  5. So if beta testing is presumably around half done. Then I can assume we're getting V9 at the end of next week. If not then, the close to after that. I hope. Unless somebody just so happened to stumble across a computer breaking bug that jan cant fix without dying, playing uno with god, coming back, iron man moding all dark souls bosses, and getting 8 new computers to combine into 1 supercomputer. and THEN he can fix the bug in about 8 years. You might think it's farfetched, but people thought sending a man to the moon was farfetched too.
  6. my handheld copy of rejuvenation got stuck in a toaster please help
  7. You have 3 chances to get round? How is that evil?
  8. They're in a normal factory field btw. When Hydreigon uses Flash cannon it says "ATTACK SEQUENCE INITIATE" which is the factory field's way of letting you know the attack was boosted. In the short circuit field it's "The attack picked up electricity!"
  9. My swanna was my last pokemon left on Charlotte. It's ability was keen eye. So I used Rain dance. Then I proceed to destroy all of her pokemon in a matter of 5 turns. I'd Surf, it'd lower their accuracy, but not mine because of keen eye. They'd miss and I'd kill them next turn. Was hilarious. That was my first try on charlotte in my second playthrough. through
  10. I can't really argue with what you said.
  11. More fields because these are fun to create-

    Tournament Stadium-

    "Playing Dirty!"

x1.5% to all Psychic type moves

    "Brains over Brawn!"

x1.5% to all Fighting type moves.

    "Brute force!"

Speed and attack are now the same stat. (Ex. Agility raises speed x2, but attack is also raised by the same amount)

Pokémon with the ability Competitive get their Special Attack raised two stages.

Pokémon with the ability Prankster get their evasion boosted one stage.

x0.5% decrease to Normal type moves.

    "That won't cut it here."

Double team's stat boosting effect is raised.

Pokémon with the ability Sheer Force get their attack raised by one stage.

Pokémon with the ability Guts get their attack raised by one stage, as well as another boost at 25% health.

Pokémon with the ability Pure/Huge Power get their attack boosted by one stage.

Mind Reader acts as counter and mirror coat, along with it's original effect.

Destiny bond raises all stats of the next pokemon sent in if used successfully.

Retalliation is an instant ohko if destiny bond was successful the last turn.

If it helps, the gym leader I'd use it with, although this is pretty far in the story, I just wanted to show it off.

Last 2/Last Pokémon quote: "The solution is simple, all I need to do is squash the rest of your team."

Defeat quote: "HOW. I LITERALLY CHEATED. AND STILL LOST. I HIT TWO TIMES IN A ROW, AND YOU COULDN'T JUST DROP, ARE YOU, nah, I don't even care that much. My real team is waiting for me at home."

Oh, by the way, in the beginning quote where he says he doesn't play by your rules. He really DOESN'T. Haos is what I call a rouge trainer. They don't play by the rules and they cheat sometimes. As well as attacking two times a round sometimes. They also switch the difficulty mode. For instance "And this game is HARD." He is quite literally telling you the battle is on hard mode right now. And if you're playing on Hard. Then the difficulty goes to intense. The battle here is in the 60s-70s. So on intense its like 63-72. whereas the level cap is 65.

alright, I'll start that when I got time

  12. 1. Point, he did indeed prioritize a party room over a gym. But maybe it was to set the atmosphere? Not sure on that. 2. True, but knowing that, it's all the more dangerous to recklessly fight in that room. Especially when you know it, the minute we learned it was deep in a Volcano, peace negotiations should've began. Especially if Texen was weak, it's not like he stood a chance. 3. While I don't remember the script exactly. Texen did and didn't abuse his power. He had his lackeys block off Caratos mountain, which should be blocked off in the first place (Not to imply Texen cared), and said he'd make them back off if Aelita gave him a kiss. Granted his influence as a Gym Leader was what allowed him to make the bargain and block off Caratos, but it's not like he forced Aelita to kiss him. It was choice. And besides, we could've easily battled the two girls off. Aelita simply wanted to be stubborn and say no, and continue to provoke him. With jerks like Texen, you simply play their game to a reasonable extent so you get what you want. It's not a hard concept, but Aelita simply didn't like Texen and basically destroyed his Gym. (Even though it was us the player who destroyed the gym, I'm going to blame Aelita because she forced us into the battle) 4. Anyway, Texen is a jerk, Aelita didn't play her cards right. We ended up getting what we wanted, but at the cost of Texen slamming the Elder down the waterfall, which could've totally been avoided.
  13. I hate how Texen was handled. He's the MOST stereotypical bad guy ever. And what exactly is he doing wrong. HE was chosen as Gym Leader, so HE gets to be Gym Leader. Just because YOU don't like that Aelita does not mean you get to destroy the entire Gym. KNOWING that lava could get in and possibly kill those poor workers. You know, all she had to do was kiss him for the greater good. Instead we destroy his gym. Make his workers to more work for no reason other then little girl ruined everything, and now Texen has to spend more money. AKA. SHERIDAN HAS TO SPEND MORE MONEY. And all this caused Texen to push the female elder women down the waterfall. I'm just saying, if Aelita just asked nicely, this could've been settled so much easier. But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooox300. Now I don't like Texen because he's stuck up and cocky, but the way he was quickly demonized in the story was BS. Just wanted to say that. If it helps I think Texen is mini-fern. Except Fern is actually evil.
  14. @ShadeStrider I did not notice that. but am to lazy to edit it. so feast your eyes upon vesion 9
  15. I know different games have different beta testing times. But I don't think it takes a month to play Vesion 9, provide feedback, and have Jan fix any gamebreaking errors. (Coming from somebody still trying to figure out how to import tilesets on RPG maker and has no idea how essentials work.)
  16. I'm not sure how far you've gotten on this playthrough. I remember something about Ciel? I'm not sure. I just know Signal beam will be useful in the future.
  17. So I'm pretty late. But "Child of Light Marianetee." That's cool. Are we fighting her again though? Because that field is definitely NOT a place for normal types. Or at least her gym battle. Also, isn't that the field where Type:Null was shown in a thing Jan showed us a month ago? Omg, if I fight marionette again I'm going to fangirl because I like her for some reason. jan please. if u love me. (notice the sentence structure slowly collapsing as you go down.)
  18. So basically. People don't use weapons because they just don't and it's kind of tradition not to. Well, at least conventional weapons such as guns. I can buy it.
  19. So basically a Pokémon comes out of nowhere and tells you to quit it with that. But what if I don't care, or I have a Master Ball? Guess people don't take that chance.
