Just when i was starting to thing that this run was becoming too smooth... heh, you never know when it's gonna turn around and slap you with a big cold trout xD And not even from a gym leader! I don't have any say in the addition of "verdant tales", since it doesnt really have an effect in me (which would probably be different if i had played the game). Now about the screen as a whole, i liked the orginal one better. The new style seems more generic to my eye. And it doesnt help that being Greek, i have the letter Ω in my language, which is also written O on paper, so reading your new title feels awkward, like reading a typo..
