  1. I really have a hard time taking the final boss of Conquest seriously. The battle is challenging, but it felt less climatic than the one to Birthright.

(And no, I don't know what the boss to Revelations is, so please keep quiet on the off hand chance I decide to buy it one day.)

the final boss of revelations is a final boss of a fire emblem game

I mean if you want to talk about anti-climatic final bosses: FE1 (Shadow Dragon not as much), FE6, and FE8 had very, very anti climatic final bosses who I could say are worse that Conquest's final boss. Though on Hard or Higher, that boss is insane and so memorable. By the time you reach him, you're half dead and praying nobody dies. Perfect running that chapter was brutal as every unit on one turn mattered to me as if one enemy didn't die, I was screwed.

I never managed to get to FE6s boss, since you need to go through that hell gauntlet in order to do so, and if you're like me and refuse to let even one unit die... I have to disagree with you on Fire Emblem Eight though. Assuming your talking about Sacred Stones, that was a satisfying boss in my opinion. While it was incredibly easy, and all you required was a strong Joshua or Myrrh, at least the boss was intimidating.

I'm a very much casual player, so if I had to do that boss on classic mode, I could see it being insanely difficult. Really, I just wanted Corrin to get the final hit on the boss.

  2. You know, I both love and despise how skill inheritance is a thing now. On one hand, we can get stronger units, but on the other hand, so can the computers. I kind of prefer to keep my discount RPGs as simple as possible, so ehh... On a completely unrelated note, my team just got annihilated by an arena match that stuck me against three five star Takumis and an Olivia. That was one of the worst experiences I've even had in a mobile game.
  3. Silence you fool, lest you bring down the wrath of the creator! Do you wish doom upon us! All joking aside, it will probably be a while off before the next episode comes out, since it will probably be an entirely new area that we haven't seen yet that will probably focus more on plot than side quests. Episode Sixteen did just come out too, so it would make sense that the developers would want to step back and take a breather. Plus who knows what will happen this April Fool's Day...
  4. What is a forum member? A miserable pile of memes!

  5. The Donkey Kong Rap, but every time they say Kong, a beloved Reborn characters is killed off/written out of the plot.

And yes, I counted. That would be sixteen fatalities.

  6. Can't you see Grandma's watching her stories?

  7. I wonder if Azura becomes an interesting and/or likable character in Revelations?

    Eh, probably not.

Hahahahaha Revelations. It has some of the worst map design, character bases/placement, and the story...literally shines light one what is wrong with Fate's plot. Sorry I bash the hell out of this thing but by the time you reach chapter 20 and you say Revelations is a good game, you need to play more Fire Emblem games.

As for Azura...she pretty much stays a plot device.

I'd figure she would remain as a plot device, since her personality is basically "nice and mysterious." Right now I'm completely and utterly burned out from playing Fire Emblem games, so it remains to be seen if I ever will buy Revelations. I mainly this to make fun of her lack of character.

And this is coming from the guy who plays them for the characters and support first and foremost, with the game play coming in second.

  8. First One Shot, now Road Not Taken... Why do all of these games make me fall into a depression?

  9. You can always use a Perish Song or Destiny Bond User to take out boss Pokemon.
  10. I just finished Conquest, and am officially burned out on Fire Emblem. I'll probably pick of Revelations one day just so I can say I completed the series/games though. And I never did collected all of the kids, but I kind of lost interest and just wanted to beat it.

  11. The feeling you get when you by Boo-Camp for Conquest.  Image result for unlimited power gif

  12. For me, it comes down to three classes. Sword Master: Really, saying you don't like dual wielding is like saying you don't like ice cream or kitten, if you don't like it, you're probably allergic. And by allergic, I mean allergic to getting hit with a one hundred plus critical. Sword Masters have always been a staple in my arsenal, mainly thanks to Joshua, and I've always been keen on their critical animations. Taguel: I wish I had a recording of my reaction of seeing Panne transform for the first time, but sadly I do not. All I can say, is I probably sounded like the Joker. I'm actually a big fan of shapeshifters in general, but the Manaketes have never been quite by forte since they always end up coming off as a little... Creepy? The shape shiftiers in fates were ok, but my heart will always belong to the bunny people. Conqueror: This is less about the class and more about the person who wields in, but conqueror has always been the ultimate unstoppable force for me. Plus it's Wallart. That's like worth fifty points.

  15. Got a five star Lucius in Heroes today. Not bad, but is he any good?

    1. Fabled Asian

      Fabled Asian

I would say he is an offensive Azama, since they have the same sets but has higher ATK and slightly more Spd. I would say Azama would be your better healer if you have him since he is balanced all around than in 1 stat along side Threaten ATK, but a 5* is a 5*, and if Mages are giving you problems he would do fine, and 30 Spd means that he probably won't be doubled on.

  16. It's probably wrong that I sometimes enjoy the supports in Fire Emblem  more than the gameplay, right?

The supports are one of the reasons I replay FE Fates so much actually(that and having little to do IRL so I might aswell play a game I love) and they're arguably one of the best things in the game. I mean defeating a huge dragon is cool and all but LOOK! Lissa needs protection and only Lon'qu can do it!(for some reason the other soldier can't do it huh?)

Ahh yes, there's nothing quite like your two character declaring their undying love for one another in one turn, only for one of them to die the next...

  17. Old people are weird. It's just best to hope you never get confronted again and move on. Of course young people are also weird.
  18. You kids weren't kidding, Conquest is hard.

And that was on the easiest difficulty... I'm not ashamed to say I play games for story though.

  19. So skill inheritance is here. Oh boy. Can't wait to see what the Meta starts looking like. May God have mercy on our souls once we start seeing things like Galeforce Takumis.
  20. "Even his blood is dreamy..."

  21. Today I spent twenty orbs in the hopes of getting a new character, and ended up with a Five star Cordelia. Yeah, I definitely not going to complain. Now I officially can have a full five star team, which is a little sad since it took me this long to get one.
  22. Why do Fire Emblem games always leave me sad inside when I beat them?

    Oh yeah...

... *gasp* What's a "Norhian" Scum? <.< And yeah, I know the feeling. I'm not playing Radiant Dawn because I don't want it to be over.

  23. It's a shame I never got to see Reborn in its "Prime," but like many others, I'm still relatively new here. I mean, sure, I have over one thousand posts, but that really doesn't mean anything when it all comes down to it. I found Reborn after getting tired of other fan games, not because of Shofu. Either way, I feel intimidated sometimes when I'm here, as I don't want to upset the balance or bring ire upon myself. The last community I was in was actually a lot like the "old" Reborn (or at least judging by what people say about it). Unfortunately, that community ended up losing most of its older members until its equivalent of the wasteland was a haven for racism and memes, and it role play section was filled with wolf and Five Nights and Freddies role plays that had three minutes of work put into them. I can appreciate what Reborn was, but unless someone has screen shots of it or a time machine, there's no real way to make new users like me understand what it was, only that it was. Now I do believe that communities need to change to survive. I'm willing to bet if Reborn still looked like how it used to look, most of the new people, myself included wouldn't be here right now. Honestly, I only came here for the game, got stuck on a gym, and made an account to ask for help. The last time I did this for a fan game, I joined the Reddit and was promptly laughed at for having a weak team. Reborn? The people here nursed me back up and encouraged me, and now look at me. I make meme thread occasionally! All I'm trying to say is that I feel like Reborn is the best community I've ever been a part of, and I don't want to leave any time soon. As for actual discussion, I feel like its probably a good idea to be open about your though and feelings, as long as your open to other peoples. I've seen a few threads go down hill while here, and they aren't anywhere as bad as some of the others I've seen before. Honest discussion should be available to all, but as others have said, if the Auth believe this sin't the place to do it, then this isn't the place to do it. Anyways, I hope that one day I might be able to get closer into the inner circles of Reborn one day, since I still feel like an outsider, but I'm content with that. Maybe it's misguided hope, and maybe it's patience. And maybe it's Maybeline. From, a cheerful Greenhorn
