I think my second favourite antagonist character has got to be Solaris. I enjoy the way he is written, how he seems to truly believe that the end justifies the means, that his goals are worth what he's doing, and how he comes across as someone who genuinely thinks that he is working for the greater good. I guess villains who go to great lengths to ensure their own profit are neat, but I am fascinated much more by the ones who do atrocious things because they think it benefits the people. Solaris is intelligent and efficient, and he thinks to know that he's more intelligent and capable than you. And way more knowledgeable, of course. You uneducated fools. You would so totally be on his side if you actually knew what's going on. Clearly, you're only against Meteor because you lack the necessary understanding to join them. ...Yeah. I enjoy his appearances in the game. He's interesting. I also really don't want him to die. But who am I kidding, I know what happens when I wish a character won't die. As for who I like best? Yeah let's just pretend anybody would still ask me that at this point :')

Hey, Viri. The first time you caught my attention, at least as far as my memory serves me, you've been talking about... bugs. I was intrigued to see someone with an interest in entomology, and quickly found that you are a very intelligent, knowledgeable and eloquent person. I enjoyed reading along, sometimes throwing my two cents in, when you went on to talk about science-y things you are passionate about. It was never boring to me, especially as it grew apparent just how varied your interests are. You know how to carry a conversation and to take initiative, as can be seen all over the forums too. Though you certainly are a somewhat excentric personality, sometimes showing fleeting moments of being unreasonable despite your best efforts, and I do not always agree with your opinions or the assertions you make about things, I respect you. Without wanting to diminish anything about the feelngs you've expressed, I hope you don't mind if I offer my perspective on you as well. I suppose I can see why you are not satisfied or happy with the image people here may or may not have of you, so don't see this as me trying to invalidate any of what you said. But I think that to many, certainly most of the active users here, you are far more than a stagnant meme. Of course you had your funny moments. You possess a distinct sense of humor, and yes, I'm sure we all have come to associate you with puns and a fondness for a certain Steel/Electric type pokemon. But humor, in every facet and variation, is something that adds to a personality, rather than detract from it. Just because you're associated with something that's become memetic on here doesn't mean that this is now all people see in you, or that it hinders us from seeing everything else about you. Lighthearted humor and maturity are not mutually exclusive, and I doubt that people here ever thought that about you. I did not. I hope you'll find your way in life and achieve what you're setting out to do. Sometimes parting ways with people and places is necessary. Perhaps you're right and your time here has come to an end. Perhaps it hasn't and you will visit us again some time. Whichever is the case, just do know that many, many of us appreciate having met you. As far as we're aware, none of the leaders are active on the site any more, no. Not every character in the game was inspired by a real person. Many/most of them are, but notably, the Meteors aren't (with the exception of Lin, who was a Dragon type leader in the league's first season), and I'd reckon many of the more minor characters aren't, either. (Like, for example, the Magma/Aqua gangs.) You could technically poke around the forums a bit to gather information from old threads that are still around, and the battle logs from the league are still intact as well. You can also freely ask any of the old members that are still around, and see if they feel like answering certain questions for you. On occasion I've seen the ancient folks here tell a story or two about the league days, so who knows, you might be able to get some answers if you ask the right questions. (Though as the link to the battle logs is no longer in any of the navigations, I'm not sure if it's ok to link to them? They're still there, but if I gotta be honest I'm never sure how much of the stuff that we can technically access is stuff that the devs want us to share with each other.)

As a small side note: There are sprites of Eve and Lumi here. Ame may have abandoned that writing project, but personally I've been imagining the sisters according to those sprites ever since. (And I may have given in to temptation whoo oops) Eve has long hair in Ame's sprites, I just cut in short on mine because I thought it suited her c: Jasmi also drew Eve and didn't post the art set here because she apparently wants to be blackmailed by alice again :')

I'm actually being serious here :c ) Overheated rooms are the worst of evils, especially during tests/exams. My abi exam in history was a bit like that, except 4 hours because Leistungskurs. When I was still a little kid, kindergarten age, Pokémon was very popular here, and even though I didn't have either of the games, and didn't get to watch the anime, I knew several 'mons by their names, and even owned a few cards that I got from other kids through various trades or as gifts. I don't remember all this stuff very clearly any more because I was what, 4? must have been 4 or 5, considering release dates But I loved birds so much and thought that Pidgeotto was the coolest ever! Funny, how I knew barely anything about Pokémon, but I obsessively kept every Pidgeotto-related things I got. The TCG card, a birthday invitation from a friend that had a picture of Pidgeotto printed on it, one of these sets of "tattoos" that you put on yourself with a bit of water... I also had figurines of Pidgey and Pidgeot. Just not Pidgeotto. I dunno, I just really really liked this pretty bird. I also remember having a holo card of Zapdos, and I loved that one, too. My mom gave my cards away at some point, but I bought another Zapdos one off a flea market at one point, just because I wanted to have one again.

I cannot believe I am seeing this with my own two eyes, but sure, gimme a 'mon. I really, truly, honestly cannot believe you, by the way.

I'm not edgy enough to give up my silly humor yet, don't worry. I'm glad to know you, Inno. You're easily one of the most lovable people around here, very energetic. When I first took the test, I got Water/Flying. I retook it recently and got pure Flying. Both make sense, and I've always thought of myself as a Flying type anyway. I do get Water related results often, too, though. So maybe Water/Flying is the more fitting one. I like to think that makes me a Swanna. Admittedly not much of a Gyarados fan, and Mantine somehow doesn't seem fitting. (Also neither of them are birds, which immediately makes me like Swanna better even if we put aside my fondness for swans.)

Today I learned that there is a colony of wild chilean flamingoes in my state. Apparently it's the northernmost flamingo colony in the world or something.

Sounds like you'll be in for a hot romance there. I'm sure he's the type of man who will have no problem keeping the home fires burning. He'll practically melt your heart with his passion. That is, once he warms up to you.

I have never IV bred a single thing in my life, but I occasionally reset for event 'mons to have decent IVs, and if a Pokémon I catch has truly awful ones, I may attempt to catch a better one. But that's usually just if it has no stats above 20, or if a stat I really want to have high IVs in scores too low. I never felt like my team's imperfect IVs put me at any sort of disadvantage, so I don't go out of my way to have them all be superb. The one thing I was adamant about was to get Espeon with high SpA IVs (30 and 31 respectively), but that's admittedly more because I really, really enjoy seeing this 'mon deal as much damage as it can. Kinda satisfying.

You're without a doubt one of the most amazing people I've had the honour of meeting on this site. You were one of the first members here to catch my attention when I was still new and didn't know anybody, and it's been an immense joy to talk to you ever since. And I know I'm sure as Hell not the only person here who appreciates you, so here's to you on your special day! ...Well, um, maybe someone can get us a new cake first?
