  1. So who goes upstairs does change based on who you battle at Yureyu, because if you battle Sirius first, he is the one who goes upstairs, while Sigmund wants to check the kitchen. Interesting. Thanks for checking it! Sigmund at Yureyu -> Sirius at Mansion = Sigmund upstairs, Sirius downstairs stop Sigmund > Laura gets captured stop Sirius > twins get captured Sirius at Yureyu -> Sigmund at Mansion = Sirius upstairs, Sigmund downstairs stop Sigmund = Saphira gets captured stop Sirius = ??? Man it's really grinding my gears that I can't remember that last one. I picked that path the previous time I played through this arc. Is it possible that Charlotte and Shelly get captured here?
  2. Wait, this does bring up a question... I am quite certain that in my first playthrough, I decided to stay downstairs and protect the kitchen (because Saphira told me that Charlotte is under my protection, and Charlotte hid in the kitchen). This resulted, IIRC, in the capture of the twins. Either there's a difference in who stays downstairs and who goes upstairs based on which one you battle first, or it's a change between episodes? If it's the former, then would it be like this: Twins: Sigmund at Yureyu -> Sirius at Mansion -> stop Sirius Laura: Sigmund at Yureyu -> Sirius at Mansion -> stop Sigmund? I cannot remember for the life of me who got captured when I did Sirius -> Sigmund -> Sirius in my second run x.x
  3. The one for saphira getting captured is definitely right, because I did it today and did so by stopping Sigmund from entering the kitchen. So yes, you stay downstairs. It has Saphira threatening and eventually attacking Sigmund, and ends with Sirius' Seviper knocking her out. The mess-up for Laura/Twins is possible. I do remember that in my second run I tried to get the Saphira capture route, so I fought Sirius at Yureyu and Sigmund in the Mansion, but ended up choosing the wrong thing by stopping Sirius instead of Sigmund. Possible that this resulted in the capture of the twins. But honestly, I'm so sure that I had the twins being captured in my first playthrough? And I definitely fought Sigmund at Yureyu and Sirius at the Mansion in that one.
  4. I like the Saphira one best because of the team-up with Laura in the beginning; I much prefer having the guards being put to sleep to them being killed. Though one question does come up for me: ^Were they stupid enough to put Saphira in there without taking away her Pokémon, or does she possess some sort of superhuman strength ...Actually, no, don't answer this. I am entertained by the mental image of Saphira bursting through these metal bars, giving the guards the fright of their life.
  5. IIRC: Anna/Noel getting captured: fight Sigmund at Yureyu -> fight Sirius at Belrose Mansion -> stop Sigmund Laura getting captured: fight Sirius at Yureyu -> fight Sigmund at Belrose Mansion -> stop Sirius Saphira getting captured: fight Sirius at Yureyu -> fight Sigmund at Belrose Mansion -> stop Sigmund so the last (which I also never got so far, will try out in my Ground Mono when I get there) should be fight Sigmund at Yureyu -> fight Sirius at Belrose Mansion -> stop Sirius Edit: Please do correct me if I'm wrong. The only one I am absolutely certain about at the moment is the one for Saphira getting captured, because I did it just a couple hours ago. Edit2: Okay, so this was wrong, see everything discussed below.
  6. It's not Solaris who says that line, though, is it?Pretty sure it's Sirius. That said, I am really not sure if it's all gonna be this simple for Charlotte. Her entire identity has been built around the tragedy of what happened to her parents. A lot of the things she perceives as her life lessons have been derived from it. She grew up blaming herself over and over again, and her whole character development until the point where we meet her was heavily influenced by her guilt. She goes through this whole process of coming to terms with what happened and trying to do her best to live with it. She has been faced with the "truth" of having been responsible for the death of her parents for so long, and it's such an integral part of her character (so much, in fact, that Anna can see it), that I think it might be very difficult for her to actually accept that it was someone else's doing all along. It sounds like a happy turn of events at first - Charlotte will find out that she's not the one who killed her parents. But if you've spent to much time confronting your guilt about something like that, and then are supposed to accept that you've basically been living a lie? I can't see Charlotte going "Oh, so it was him? Let's burn him." It's more likely that she's really going to struggle with this revelation. In some cases, people completely refuse to accept the new truth.
  7. Hey now, he was only asking what the word meant, not where the quote is from. And yeah, the latter is correct in this case.^^ It's an overrated book anyway
  8. [stunned silence] I am your what now? How did that happen :'D But please don't die :c Dying is very impractical. You couldn't draw anything that way either That said, I'd be so in for Fern & Flo comics. I'm sure nobody would mind the OC; as long as it involves the Reborn charries as well, it should fit in here just fine n.n
  9. I don't think Sigmund's arc is gonna end with just him/Meteor going down or him trying to bail out. I believe he'll still play a role in connection to Lin's story, not to mention there's got to be an eventual showdown between him and Saphira at some point. Sigmund has made it clear that he doesn't care for Meteor's ideals or approve of their methods. He joined in with them because they offered to help him capture the orphans, and he said that he decided to stay because there's something he's interested in finding out. Personally, I think he might even be a help to us at some point. But he's far from a strong supporter of Team Meteor, so I don't expect their fate to be too tightly bound to his, except in relation to Lin.
  10. Oi, look, another German! Welcome to the madhouse. Please enjoy your stay, you'll be here forever. Here's your resident Meteor agent informing you that there's totally still opportunities to join our team. You'll even get... uh... a pony! Look, here's um, a Ponyta. It's all fiery and stuff! ...What do you mean that's not the kind of pony you want Your avatar reminds me that I still haven't finished reading that thing. Oops. Anyway, welcome~
  11. derp But as far as upcoming things go, I, too, am looking forward to FO4 One of those series where the setting just swallows me and keeps me immersed for weeks.
  12. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ZEL ART let me hug you <3 I love love love the concept behind that one so much! You just officially made my day <3 Though the other ones turned out just as awesome! The shading on Taka looks amazing, and I adore how Ciel looks in your style!
  13. On. I love it when they're soaked from the ketchup :3
  14. Fern implies early-game that it has something to do with something between Florinia and Titania. Julia says that Florinia "hasn't been the same ever since-", and Fern ends her sentence with "since Titania? Yeah, she traumatizes people like that." Mr. Bigglesworth can be found in the Byxbysion Tunnels/Grotto, which aren't really something you necessarily stumble upon unless you explore a lot. To be honest I still don't know if there's a way to enter them without doing the thing required for Beldum. ...dem typos, lmao. I should sleep some more.
  15. Just to clarify a bit: E14's ending message was: "Forget not: four screens foretold four souls' fortune forsaken... ...For forsooth, from foreshadowed, only two will be taken." The key point here is "from foreshadowed". Corey's death was a glimpse into the past, since by the time we see those screens, he was already dead. So the message only refers to the three scenes that show us the future - Kiki, Amaria, Lin. Kiki died, which leaves Amaria or Lin as the possible survivors. Personally, I do think what we saw on Amaria's screen was the waterfall scene. It fits in with what we saw, though of course, there's no way to say no similar thing could happen in the future. But Lin dying seems very likely to me.
  16. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorelei#Original_folklore_and_the_creation_of_the_modern_myth I believe they've taken the Siren story as the origin for her name, at least if I remember it correctly. In any case, there's association with water moreso than Ice as far as her name goes.
  17. Fortree City seems like a fun place to live in. I always loved its surroundings, too. Ecruteak City looks nice as well. So cozy~
  18. Well, Flint's team could be excused with the lack of new Fire types for Gen IV, but they gave him a Rapidash, and Steelix isn't Gen IV either. Maybe they went with some weird theme thing, for example Drifblim being based on a hot air balloon? "Lopunny is hot, right?" /shot Ghastly's line are the only Ghost Pokémon existing in Gen I, so Agatha didn't really have a lot to choose from in that aspect. Then, though, you have Gen II, where they gave us Misdreavus, but decided that Morty wouldn't get one. shrugs
  19. The outcome of your battle against Solaris will have an effect on something in the story, but not that thing, no.
  20. Salami. I don't even know, man. It's sort of a thing that's been this way ever since I was a little kid. Hungry and in need of a little snack? Better look if there's some salami in the fridge.
  21. Aah, character things... I wanna join iiiin~ Bennett - Honestly, I have this hypothesis that one problem with Bennett is that he is kind of used to having people give him what he wants. We know that Serra gave up a lot of things so she could take care of her son. She tells us as much, and it's obvious that it was a huge personal sacrifice. She put Bennett above everything, even if it clearly makes her life less satisfying. And El apparently handed him the E4 job, and even though he says it's because he saw the boy's battling prowess, that just seems like an excuse. But point is, Bennett gets his dream of joining the league leaders pretty much handed without the effort that it should probably take him (it doesn't even look like he and Laura had to hold any sorts of tests to compare who is more fit for the position. Since Laura gets her news of being kicked quite sudden and without any warning.). I feel like he is, in a way, spoiled, and has difficulties accepting that Luna can't / doesn't want to give him exactly what he wants from her. They might have been friends of some sorts when Luna stayed with Serra, who knows. But Luna doesn't want anything more, and Bennett probably has difficulties with letting that get through to him. But I think Monochrome_Complex put it pretty well with the word "Metamorphosis". I think he's gonna get character development for the better. Fern - I thought I'd hate this guy. After the comments he made about Corey, I really thought I'd hate him. But somehow I don't. Let's face it, he's a jerk, but he's also so desperate. If anything, then his interactions with other characters (mainly Florinia, but also a bit Solaris) in E15 show that he's cracking. I'll stick to my hypothesis that Fern has always been feeling greatly underappreciated and frustrated. First of all, he's always just second-best (at best). He's overshadowed by his sister, who gets to be gym leader while he is "only" the reserve. Then he starts the league challenge, only to find you always at roughly the same level of progress, and always, always beating him. You simply are the better trainer. Really, everything about the way Fern presents himself screams "Pay attention to me!". Perhaps he doesn't even mind if it's negative attention. He just wants people to give it to him. Speaking of the PC being better than him - his response to Solaris commenting on your talent? "It's not all about [x], you know?" He's gone and joined Team Meteor, and he's on his presumably first important mission with them - and then he fails to win against you again, and his boss pays all the attention and compliments (as far as Solaris compliments his enemies, anyway) to you. Feels bad, man. And then there's the stuff that supposedly happened at Onyx, the whole story about Florinia and Titania and the things that made Rini the way she is. He claims he doesn't care, but really? I think it must have affected him more than he's willing to admit. I think Fern's character development part is due very soon. Sigmund - Oh I love that guy. Yes, he's got questionable morality and clearly, he's not a responsible therapist/doctor. But a real bad guy? Nah. He's said as much - he is working with Meteor because he wants to figure something out. I guess it's safe to say he's still trying to work out the truth behind Lin. I mean, we know that Sigmund and Saphira recognize her. I'll be damned if Sigmund isn't staying with Meteor for the sole purpose of understanding what's going on with that leader of theirs. And I kinda feel like we might have more of an ally in him than we're supposed to think (or want). He already told us he thinks Meteor's goals and methods aren't to his taste. He has his own little agenda. Titania - I feel like I'm supposed to like her. Or at least supposed to think that she's cool or anything. But nah, I don't. I do like that characters like her or Saphira give us a taste of "not everyone who is on your side is a good person" and "war is brutal" or something. Not everyone is nice and friendly and respects their enemies. But there's really barely anything that makes Titania a likable character to me. There were a couple of brief moments that I liked in E15 - I liked it when she gave Taka a piece of her mind on his unwillingness to make a clear stand on his loyalty. The part where she basically tells him that someone in his position needs to "man up" and make up his mind, instead of letting others dictate his actions. I liked their interactions because Taka also gave us some great lines directed at Titania. Their exchanges were meaningful and made reasonable points. But other than that, I don't like anything about the was Tania interacts with others, including you. And unlike with characters such as Fern or Bennett, I don't really get the feeling that she's gonna have any sort of revelation about her actions, or change her ways. Her personality as a cold and condescending person who cares about nothing besides herself and Amaria feels set in stone. I suppose we'll get backstory eventually, seeing how it's all mixed up with the stories of Rini, Amy, Fern and Julia. But even if she gets a solid backstory to explain her current personality, that doesn't exclude her from needing some serious character development. If she's a main character (and I count the leaders as main characters), she shouldn't be static.
  22. I always felt like the amount of event pokémon was fine, because it reinforces the feeling that actual wild pokémon are very sparse and difficult to find, whereas abandoned 'mons, runaways, stolen ones etc. would be much more abundant. Putting this under a spoiler for... duh, spoilers, since OP isn't that far into the game yet. And also for people who don't wanna put up with me complaining about Terra.
  23. I guess it could be used for a compact overview of the characters? Depending on the chocies we make in-game, it's easy to miss some of the story snippets, and it could be useful to actually have it all together on a wiki page. That, as well as overviews of the characters' teams, and general info on locations or factions. A wiki would mostly be useful for - game info like leader teams, pokemon/item locations - character and plot summaries - change logs about differences between episodes I'm not sure if those things would really warrant the creation of a wiki, though I can see how people might find it easier to navigate than the forums. If someone just wants to look a thing up, they might find a wiki more practical than having to search the forums for answers.
  24. - I thought I would not get massively attached to any of them - I thought I would not get massively attached to any of them - I thought I would not get massively attached to any of them /shot Aaanyway: - I was expecting Titania to be a double agent, based on her interactions with the Meteors in Aventurine, her appearance in the foreshadowing of Amaria's jump, and Hardy's comment about how one would expect her to stab you with a knife. - I thought I'd find Cain to be annoying, because I tend to not like flirty characters at all. - I spent a fair time thinking that ZEL were female by body, because the battle/front sprite looks so very feminine. I was honestly surprised to find out they shared Zero's body, despite the fact that the character design matches Umbreon. - I thought I was gonna hate Fern's guts, but ended up being quite fond of him as a character. Should have guessed that this would happen because I tend to like characters who are jerks, but then again, I don't like Blake at all... - For a while I had the misconception that Charlotte is older than Laura. - I expected Taka and Lumi to be the team's token "not so bad" guys (well, guy and girl), and everyone else to be portrayed as unambiguously evil. Guess the canon games got me into this mindset, since it's rare for more than two villain characters to get any significant notion of a unique personality at all. - In my first playthrough I didn't get the police officers before the PULSE battle, so I didn't get Corey's extra story bit. I failed to realize that he'd been a Meteor Agent at all, until I learned of the extra story. ...And uh, does "I thought Terra would be somewhat bearable" count?
