I like seeing characters in different outfits to be honest Turn 'em into fashion models, give them all the outfits I'll suck it up In fact, where's all the 'characters in hoodies' pics at? [furious scribbling as I put it on my learn-to-draw-it-list] The characters' outfits are all nice and fitting for them, but clothes are just clothes, after all. People may have a clothing style, but at the end of the day, they can try anything. I gotta admit I didn't even notice anything 'off' in Alice's case, whoops!

Excuuuuse meeee The only reason I didn't keep using it past that level is that I am very attached to the non-shiny one (it's my team's ace) and having two of them became a bit inconvenient. My favourite Reborn shiny is the Shellos line, with a slight preference for the West Gastrodon form. And Gigalith. Bless shiny Gigalith.

This, kinda. Many of my 'mons have more or less random names I made up on top of my head, but the further I got into the game, the more of them ended up being named after characters. So I've got meaningless names like Sarkath (Noctowl), Keera (Staraptor) or Arzac (Arcanine) alongside ones like Lumi (Espeon), Sirius (Houndoom) or Eclipse (Absol). ...And I guess there's that Mamoswine named Earth Shaker. In my other runs I do use name themes, though. Astra's Pokémon are all named after stars, and when I did the Psychic Mono as Eve, everything got snow/ice-related names.

Story-wise you "sign up" for the reborn league in the Grand Hall, so Opal Ward would be correct. Obviously, game-wise the card is already present from the start, but canonically this is what makes the most sense.

Blue was my first Pokémon game, too \o\ Ice was meant to be my next Monotype run as well, but I got too lazy to work on the sprites I need for the protag, so I went for Steel instead. It's a very fun type to work with, though, so I'd say use Ice c: I mean... you got all the time in the world now. After all, you'll be here forever and all that. So enjoy!~

I'm not a huge fan of the colours on it, it's probably gonna look better in monochrome colours like you're currently doing it.

It looks really nice and clean! I never considered re-doing the interface graphics before, but seeing this now makes me think it'd be a fun thing to do some day. I like what you did with the HP bars especially. If you end up making them available I'd absolutely use them.

Well, thing is... I would probably feel more comfortable making myself heard if I didn't already know that doing so will end up with someone arguing that I need to shut up because my humor sucks. It's really a no-win situation the way I see it, because if someone says they want the freedom to make r7 jokes, they'll be told to grow up and/or respect people who feel uneasy about those jokes, and if someone wants stricter regulation of r7 then they'll be told they need to toughen up and get over it. At the end of the day it boils down to "grow up and get over it" on both ends, because either way a large group of people is gonna end up feeling unwelcome.

I hope it's okay if I repeat a question I have asked in the lobby earlier. I did get an answer but I forgot to save the quote and I like being able to go back to auth statements about things, so having it in a permanent forum post would be nice: From how I understood things after this announcement was discussed in the chat earlier: Obviously it's not okay to make jokes at the expense of people who we know to be uncomfortable with them, and we shouldn't make them towards people whose feelings about it we don't know, but it is still allowed to joke around with people who we know to be okay with it? Or are you looking to just completely ban jokes with innuendo from the lobby alltogether? I asked this on the server earlier and from how I understood the response, r7 jokes can still be made in the lobby given that the people involved in them are fine with them? I would miss some of the regular humor between me and some of my friends, because like Dobby said, lobby is where most of the action is, and being forced into backchannels for the purpose of one or two stray innuendos would be more annoying than it's worth. Retreating to the abyss for longer conversations, that's okay, but it doesn't really work if I just wanna quickly poke fun at something a friend said. edit: also my typo game is too strong, rip

You're great to talk to and fun to hang out with, and even though I don't get to talk to you as much as some others here, it is always nice when we do. No wonder you've quickly become as popular as you are, because you're an all-around pleasant person to be around - who also makes some darn neat sprites :3 I hope you have a great birthday, and all the cake in the world. Funnily enough, this scene was one of the things that the person who recommended the game to me did spoil for me. Complete with the ditto part and a possible way how to beat it (which I'm proud of not having used so far). I just thought "dude I wanna try and beat that now". Arceus is a funny battle, because at first you'll go "what the hell, how am I supposed to beat this?", but not only can you easily try the Focus Sash + Perish Song combo mentioned above, but if you give it some thought (and your Pokémon some training) then there's many ways to deal with it. I accidentally defeated it during a test fight in my last run, oops. Personally I gotta say I liked that the game made me wait until I could get more of my favourite Pokémon. It felt almost nostalgic to me to be using a Noctowl for the majority of the game because I couldn't get Staraptor so quickly. The game tries to be careful not to throw overpowered 'mons at you early on (though it can't be avoided with the starters... looking at you here, Blaziken), and I guess I just can't be bothered about whether or not I get to use my usual favourites. (Though thankfully, the majority of mine are in the game. Really, the only faves I can't get yet are Skarmory and the legendary birds.) I can easily see how it's frustrating when you want to enjoy the game and its storyline while being accompanied by the kind of team that you'd want to have, but if someone really absolutely refuses to play Reborn because it doesn't let them have what they want immediately, then it's... kinda just not the right game for them. The normal Pokémon games don't always give you your faves early on, either. Whether it's B&W rightfully withholding Deino from you 'til you reach Victory Road, or certain Pokémon being reserved for the post-game, you'll always have to wait for things a bit. That said (since I'm pretty sure I'm only repeating what others already said, bleh... Cyrus is my favourite canon character in Pokémon, and the Tanzan Mountain Base arc was my favourite scene in all of Reborn. To this day I hope there'll be post-game content or something that'll let me have that specific Abra. (Though for now I like to pretend it's the one you get in 7th street.)

Gives you a better idea of what they are like, y'know? Crystal must have been a nice game to have for your first Pokémon journey! I didn't get to play that one until a long time after it got released (played Blue, Yellow, Gold, and then my next was Sapphire (borrowed from my cousin since I didn't have a GBA)), but it's lovely c: I'm also slightly jealous that you live on the Azores. Definitely a place I want to visit some day. Anyway, make yourself comfortable here, yes? Because if nobody has pointed it out yet, you'll not be allowed to escape. Enjoy~

On one hand, Ametrine has snow 24/7 on the other, Apophyll has volcano 24/7 I love snow a lot and wouldn't mindconstant winter. But I also do find volcanism to be incredibly interesting... both places are fairly isolated and quiet, which is good, too. Apophyll summer residence? Can I afford that?

My hair actually was close to Ari's for a while until I let it grow out more. Still got my undercut, tho. If I had free choice... hmm, gonna go with Hardy. I like his hair. Do I get to have a male body, too? Because yes please. I actually always wanted to have black hair, but none of the black-haired characters' hairstyles are something I'd like on myself.

I was prepared for the difficulty because the person who recommended the game to me had been playing it up until Agate Circus already before I even started, and he told me a lot about what it's like. (Most memorable to me will forever be his struggle against a certain PULSE.) The difficulty was very enjoyable to me. When I started I was worried that it'd be too difficult for me and that I couldn't beat it, but while a couple of battles sure got me stuck for a while (looking at you here, Florinia), I never once had to ragequit or felt like I'd give up. It was exactly the right amount of challenge. At least for someone like me who's only a casual player. That said, what I expected from the game and what I got was very different for sure. I expected absolute nightmare difficulty bordering on the unreasonable (hey, don't blame me, I've witnessed someone losing to Abra over IIRC twenty times), and more notably, that the story would be mostly just sloppy shock value and nothing I'd get invested in (based on the spoilers I got). It took that person at least a week to even persuade me to try the game, that's how wrong my impression of it was at first. ...And then it turned out to be fun to play and I got very attached to the characters, the end.

It's great to see the art and know exactly what part of the game you've captured with it. The orphanage art looks stunning! You've all been asked at some point how you found Reborn. But what keeps you coming back? The amazing people I've met here. Especially the ones I can't reach elsewhere, but sleepless nights are much more fun when I can talk to people on the server for a while. I'm also still very emotionally invested in the game itself, hah. What is your favorite kind of potato? All of them? Uh, I guess I eat them mashed more often than not, but potatoes are good. Now I'm hungry...
