For Sp Atk. Ev i would stick to mr seacrests garden during day time but usually mons need 2 types of EV if they need speed EV i would smack on Power lens and whack woobats at underground railnet but if they do not need speed they are likely to need hp so seacrests garden is still the best cause you get hp from caterpie and wurmple. so basically for Sp Atk EV just buy power lens and train at underground railnet or seacreast garden depending on what the 2nd EV needed.

Nice good luck farming and may all the meowth pick up blast powders, nuggets and rare candy for you. As for other mons with pickup ability well you can soft reset the lilipup at onyx to get 1 with pickup and the zigzagoon at the opal ward. but meowth are the most common and easiest to obtain.

steel is possible cause you have piplup as a starter as it evolves into empoleon which is a steel type and you can get trash wormadam and pineco which are steel/bug and decent mons for each badge. also it depends if you are playing a strict mono run or non strict where thing which evolve into the mono type you are using are allowed. There are no starters available for Bug, Electric, Rock, Ice and Normal so you will need to put/modify the starter. Question here is are you playing the game without hacks/mods or with hacks/mods. err well i did fire,water,grass mono so far cause i cant be bother to put in a starter which is not a starter or not in the list of starters. i would start simple and start with grass mono as there are decent grass types mostly around the early part of the game. flying mono is also fun(doing that atm but stopped halfway cause i want to do prof oak run in reborn instead). So i voted flying cause its you first mono run and i would start easy.

1) Pick up pokemon. Any level pick up should help while ev training you get free stuff. 2) Grand hall trainers. they should be easy to beat but the problem here is you get random EV from the battles so you must either have decent mons which you do not care about their EV/can reset them when you have the reset baerries. 3) Meowth. Pay day+ team of pick up meowth used to be the way to farm money when the grand hall trainers were not repeatable, still a viable method plus A.meowth makes things easier as they dont try to evolve constantly as they need happiness to evolve. The sad part here is once you step into agate you cannot get any EV reducing berries. well there is a way to return to reborn city with strength glitch Maybe. Yeah i would not put away any of my original team cause they carried ya all the way even if they have disgusting EV spread. Once you get back to reborn city try fixing your EV with them berries because there are way tougher battles coming. Anyways good luck with your run and i hope you enjoy it.

I advice start EV training your mons as that should help. Also you can farm money easily at agate via the clown battles. Also soft reset to get decent IV if you feel like it but you do not need decent IV to beat the game only decent EV and prolly good natures which are achievable. Anyways here is a list of mons you can beat to gain certain EVs around agate: Atk-Hawlucha(Route 2), Ursaring(Route 2), Machoke(Route 2) SpAtk- Golduck( Celestine mountain Surfing around F1-4, B1-12), Magneton(Route 3 the RSEA caves), HP- wailmer surfing around citrine/celestine/Ametrine mount

kinda late but you can do this challenge without the level cap rule as you can collect rare candies from pick up pokemon and not hurt your run. but the problem is the julia section of the game is gonna be hard but after julia section you can start buying rare candies from the sweet shop easy to farm up money with pick up team of meowth+payday and the money you get from repeatable trainers. you will need to make your pick up mons level 21 at the start and the drop rate of candies is very rare so i think it is about 1% which means you will be doing a hell lot of grinding. @mrdynamo1211 Okie first things first i need to know what else do you have in your box.mystery egg pokemon ? anyways you kinda missed a free ice stone before agate. it is at citrine mountain you can only get access it if u go to route 1 and complete some of the heracross and pinsar puzzle. But oh well too late. i dont think there is an ice stone around agate area. Also if u are sick and tired of using move slots and team slot for HM head over ---> HERE <--- the modification/swm mod helps with HM problem and many more very useful. @Yuziriha Fairytale field makes fire type moves part dragon. think u can still use fire moves in mist field. Field only turn to fairytale field when adrienn's whimsicott uses tailwind. well metagross and crobat will be helpful here. Err modifications to the team in the spoiler in terms of better move set for that mon. Also you are advice to EV train so will put the recommended ev spread of your team below also. @quiter10 use Swoobat with simple set up calm mind on either mareanie or anything but Skuntank. Also Ev train speed on the swoobat and have a speed increasing nature to make sure u out speed the crobat. swoobat set is below in spoiler:

pick up mons usually pick up full restore at high levels well even at low levels they pick it up. Also ultra potion is not the strongest potion we have in reborn u can get full restore at lvl 10 of the department store. having more health helps. since health is beneficial for both special and physical moves. Azumarill should have health if you are using belly drum+huge power+berry. as for hariyama well its spdef and def both are low and not worth investing into def or spdef imho.

@rew_s11 well first off i would go catch some steel types/mons which can make use of steel moves. Next you will need a pokemon which can use tailwind to get rid of the annoying mist field and you should be able to sweep since the fairy tale field boost steel type moves. Also Ev training is kinda easy since you have not upgrade anything yet since u can only upgrade: railnet/azurine island and slums after you beat adrienn. well for my grass mono run my plan to beat Adrienn is to use dhelmise and prankster tailwind with whimsicott. you can use other mons. @nahjay3 Right first off if you are broke just capture some pick up mons and use them while you grind/Ev train mons up. cause pick up mons can pick up useful stuff and you save a lot from not needing to buy so much potions and repels. You will need 2 ability capsule and some heart scales. well swap bronzong to heat proof ability. let it learn trick room and capture a boldore from the ruby caves evolve it to gigalith relearn rock slide and sand storm,swap ability to sand force. Well i would evolve Braxien to Delphox teach it fire pledge which cost 3 red shards(fire pledge available at lapis ward the house to the left of shelly's gym). Fire pledge burns the field too provide there is no rain. some of shelly's pokemon have rain dance if i m not wrong. well you can i would read the field guide so you would know what you can do to any field. field guild can be handy just click HERE for field guide. @Mistyride well first off soul candle is used to get event pokemon like pumpkaboo/Litwig. you can get pumpkaboo by clicking one of the pumpkins at the cemetery if you have soul candle in you bag. Ok now for how to beat shade.Ok lower the lvl of your typhlosion by using common candy so that he will obey you if not he will not because your lvl cap is lvl 40. Grind the rest of your team to around lvl 38-39 and you should be able to beat shade. also evolve scraggy to scrafty. Hmm well first off just get rid of the rain with Darude sandstorm. should work unless the rain in shelly's gym is rain like primordial sea Effect/heavy rain but that is not the case since i saw in quickslip's grass mono run he was able to set up sunny day and make double rainbows appear on the field. So Darude sandstorm should work.smack on a smooth rock on you Darude sandstorm set up pokemon so that the Darude sandstorm would last longer. Once you set up Darude sandstorm you can proceed and burn the field with camerupt's Lava Plume(unless for some reason shelly has water sport and used it to

this thread---->HERE<----should help you if you are doing a grass mono run on hardcore. Growth is boosted in sun. so i would first set up a sunny day than next use sleep powder and spam growth and hit like a truck after the set up.

well you can lvl up you pokemon by putting on exp share and vsing the clown at agate. he can be battled over and over again. EDIT: if you do not have exp share well the best place to train water types is to kill crustle over and over again.the next best place is route 3 since there are graveler which are kinda easy to kill Oh an another event pokemon you can get is skuntank using the strength glitch(pls carry a escape rope if you are planning to do this since without it you will be stuck)

wow so little options available meh least gothitelle can learn trick room. so you can some what use it to set up trick room. but without roggenrolla/any slow pokemon which is rock type and has rock slide it is kinda useless to set trick room because most of the pokemon you have available is not viable for trick room. hmm well you can catch a crustle from route 2 if consider tauros and boufalant as event mons i think crustle can be placed under the same category of event pokemon. well unless you have solved every single crustle puzzle in route 2. which would be meh since crustle is the only slo

hmm well i would get a 6th pokemon first that should help. Also do you have any other pokemon in the pc if so just list them down it would be helpful. Charlotte's pokemon are all kinda fast above 90 base speed so using trick room and slow pokemons should net you a win. but idk what you current team can do against her so first off grab a few water types you can find in the mountains(sealeo,seedra,clawitzer,wailmer). you can get rid of her super heated field with mist. wailmer/wailord learns that. Gigalith is a good pokemon to use whnen facing charlotte. set up trick room and just rock slide

castform can handle shelly since he can transform into fire type/water type you just need to set up sun. litleo can also help. i would get rid of the rain first so that you can do more dmg with fire type moves. also smack on a heat rock(if you collected enuf stickers you should be able to get it at dept store) on castform so that you can have more turns of sun.Also dont evolve litleo until he hits lvl 36 because at lvl 36 he learns flamethrower which can be very useful vsing shelly. you can always use common candy after making litleo lvl 36. weather ball on castform would also be helpful since

glad to know you beat him. well you can always get a free sun stone at the byxbysion grotto. it is a hidden with item finder i m sure you can some how find it. unless you used the free sun stone for something else if so good luck mining for 1 because it is all RNG when mining.

@ SavingGrace i would swap the ability of your meowstic M to prankster and put reflect instead of miracle eye. A Meowstick M with prankster can be very useful since it can set up screen faster due to prankster giving it +1 on non atking moves like light screen and reflect. Also you might want him to carry a light clay to make the screens last longer. you can get light clay from mining shiny rocks or at the 3rd floor of the obsidia department store. Move set,Ev spread,good natures and item for meowstic M are below. you dont really need to bother about EV just listing it down because i can. Ref
