  1. Welcome to Reborn, Akashi. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Be sure to check out the Rules and drop in the server chat to let us know you better!
  2. I was told this isn't necroposting. So who wants to bet what type I'd specialise in? A vast octagonal Hall, open to grey skies. Thin, watery shafts of sunlight occasionally break through the heavy bosoms of the clouds to illuminate subdued mosaics that pattern the walls. Twin iron bridges leap from the gallery at the open entrances, gracefully arcing down to the central stage. Sombre trees litter the broad vale below, enclosed by the Hall like seedlings in an enormous flowerpot. The air is charged with volatile electricity and the smell of petrichor; it feels as if a storm could suddenly break the measured calm. Steel. The final challenge. Iron-throated birds wheel in the skies above, whilst barbed plants with clawed tendrils creep from the forest. Fire pours from the maw of an ancient volcanic demon. A mighty Titan with iron limbs and red eyes that burn fell under a golden cross. The beast awakens, its metallic roar echoing across the vale. An eerie blade is drawn, flickering behind a spectral shield. Thunder builds in the skies, and a dazzling bolt of lightning illuminates the stage. The Magnet God floats, waiting for its next sacrifice. An Iron will. An Iron fist. An Iron Legacy. Victory hands you the Brilliant Badge and Flash Cannon; defeat grants only the final Release...of your team.
  3. Or we may as well just have one which likes Fire types and another which likes Fairy/Ice/Water/Psychic/whatever-you-associate-with-the-Moon types, and is out to harness 'em for regional domination and money. Didn't we speculate about the villainous teams already? I seem to remember talking about a Zodiac team which is out to harness the powers of Fate to determine human Destiny.
  4. Not sure if you're joking, but I don't think GF will ever dare bring religion other than the vague Arceus into Pokémon. Even Arceus is never stated to be a God. They're too namby-pamby to bring in cults and stuff. And do you think GF will really bring in chemistry and quanta in Pokémon? When they're already dumbing the games down so much so that a five year old could play them? We might as well have the Dark/Poison Pokémon that represents Taxation, with the signature move Life Deduct, or the Steel/Dragon Pokemon that represents Corporate Law, with the ability Intimidate and the moves Sleep Talk, Punishment and Judgement, with a villainous Team Auditors who plan to use these fiendish powers to make everyone's lives miserable to boot!

If you had an Air Balloon, you could just make the grade rise regardless. Best of luck!

  6. Hello and welcome to Reborn, friend. Enjoy your stay!
  7. O God no. That was about the one and only thing I disliked about Gen4 in retrospect: TMs being single use. That and the fog weather.
  8. Hello and welcome to Reborn, Syglory. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here!
  9. I anticipate the next epsipde of your adventures. I must admire your fortitude in the face of danger, death, difficulty....and Fern. Also, small tip, since the last I remember, you said something to the effect that Reborn had unnecessary and overcomplicated puzzles, like the Logs/Spider Webs in Route 1 and the forests North and South of it. What makes you think it's unnecessary? There are rewards, huge ones, that await the patient one who clears all the logs and webs and travels deep into the forest. Give it a shot, it might not -bug- you so much later... Too late if you already entered agate city, though. You can't go back yet.
  10. Well, good to know you, Austin. I'm sure you're already enjoying your stay here, and I hope you will continue to do so!
  11. What I have had, sleeping after midnight and waking up around 8 a.m. It should be doable for you too. It is necessary to get 8 hours during exams! Get back here, Dhan. I know you're not working yet.
  12. Oh yeah, Rainbow was 15 when I got to know her. Whoopsie!
  13. Oh my. It takes a lot to leave me speechless, I'll grant that.
  14. I admire birds of prey. Particularly the Himalayan Imperial Eagle, and the Eurasian Eagle Owl. If we're talking mammals, I respect elephants. Of course, I appreciate and have great respect for all forms of life tol. Except mosquitoes and other pests. They can all die.
  15. It'd be as nightmarish as it getting Endeavour. That's probably why it doesn't have any of those moves. GF done good for once.
  16. Lot of shing posts everywhere all of a sudden! I again agree, all the larger bug/flying types, which can -clearly- carry a human, should be able to get HM02 Fly. It's ludicrous that giant bugs like Yanmega can't use Fly, even though its Dex entries definitely mention it being able to carry a person with ease. It's equally appalling that the only actual bug types that can get Fly are Volcarona and Genesect - neither of which are actually part flying type. While we're at it, Garchomp should get Fly. Its Dex entries and the anime both show it flying, NOT gliding, but achieving flapping flight with a human on its back.
  17. Neither are you. And neither am I now because 8 hours sleep is important before exams. Spine?
  18. Those....things....? I did not even accept then from the girl who offered one. I realise that they might be close to some people's hearts, but I will not ameliorate my opinions for the sake of sentiment. It is undeniable that they are quite bad; they may serve one well for the first few laps of the game but they are outclassed by almost any other Pokémon of their respective types. Their fraility, lack of power and moreover lack of any significant uniqueness sealed their doom. Besides, from an aesthetic point of view, they look awful to me. Sure, maybe the original baby forms were cute enough, but they were still unremarkable, and turned downright ugly in my view upon evolution. I agree with shing. Infernape is the only monkey we need or like or need to like. Please amend the poll if possible to include an option along the lines of "Ugh. No. I like none of them."
  19. Welcome to Reborn, Alexandros. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here!
  20. And I meant quite honestly that you must at least be the third 15-year-old Melbournian here, to the best of my knowledge. Nothing else
  21. Oh my, yet another 15-year-old Australian from Melbourne. Sorry, couldn't resist. Welcome, Billy, and enjoy your stay at Reborn!
  22. Have a wonderful year ahead, Hushie! You're a great guy, and I wish you all the very best in all your endeavours!
