  1. Hey, the guide is great! I'm using it to make sure i don't miss pokemon and items during my playthrough, because the methods can be pretty esoteric sometimes. I really don't want any heads up for relationship/story choices though, and I feel like there's going to be a lot more people with a similar attitude. Could we possibly get a spoiler-free version of this guide with relationship/story choices removed?
  2. Happy Birthday πŸ˜„, i hope that you will have a great day πŸ™‚πŸ°

  3. Update: I'm up to the development stage now. Xamarin.forms hasn't been treating me exceedingly kindly so far, but I'm managing, the main problem I'm facing is data. It's taking forever to collect it, and I'm struggling to come up with a structure that I'm satisfied with. I'm thinking probably keep the level of detail in each json file to a minimum, and reference between them, so the locations json file only contains the IDs of pokemon and their levels/times of day and whatever and everything else is taken from separate files referencing pokemon themselves. Still, it's exceedingly easy to decide on something that will come to be totally useless in time.

  5. The followup questions were left optional, maybe i should have made that more clear
  6. No mockups yet, I'm still writing the whole pre-design analysis papers and whatnot
  7. Wow folks, taken aback at how helpful you've all been in the last optional field. I didn't know about the PBS files until now! I was initially going to have to compromise on a lot of more data heavy features at least for now (considering it's a thing I'm handing in for school) but now we'll see what I can do! Probably won't be regular updates or anything from now till then (unless I'm in need of feedback) but you'll hear from me in the coming months
  8. Hi Reborn, for my software development class final project I'm making a Reborn companion app meant to be a comprehensive reference for things like item locations, pokemon locations, gym teams, etc. I'm thinking of having more detailed guides for the more elaborate events in Reborn, if I have the time. I need to collect some data from the players on what they think of the game, and how they search for info when playing, so I'd really really appreciate it if anyone could put a minute aside to answer a very short survey for me. Thank you! https://forms.gle/4NaahFUTPaZeCQ2Y6
  9. I've been a massive fan and shill of Reborn for a good while now. I find nearly everything about its' design to be absolutely incredible. The way that the gameplay is designed and meticulously managed with each new episode, The characters and writing which speak of an incredible writing talent within the team but also a great deal of personal hardship and struggle with identity which is channeled into it The world which varies immensely in mood and aesthetic that is absolutely fucking bursting with things to find and do And not at all least the incredible consistency and diligence of the team in creating new content and polishing old content despite the massive scope of the game, and succeeding despite the incredible challenge I love this game so much that for a long time I've wanted to break into game review/analysis/video essay creation purely so I can explain why exactly this game is not Tumblrmon or Edgemon as /vp/ would have it. I doubt I'll get there any time soon if ever because man it's hard to organise and even locate my thoughts on the specifics of why this game is so amazing, but because I've been thinking about it so much I wanted to hand the question over to you: What do you love about Reborn? I look forward to hearing what you all have to say about it. For me, honestly I couldn't choose, because everything about Reborn (sans the sometimes dubiously difficult "puzzles") contributes to the incredible totality of it. But the field effect system is a feature so incredibly effective in creating unique fights, requiring out of the box thinking by the player, and creating incredible "aha!" moments (breaking Serra's mirrors comes to mind) that I think it's a travesty that we'll probably never see it in the main games past the basic terrain moves.
  10. Happy Birthday πŸ˜„, i hope that you will have a fun day πŸ˜‰πŸ°

  11. I totally get what whoever implemented them was going for, but oh my god please remove the slowdown from traversing sand dunes. Not only does it make traversing the huge desert way slower, it also makes my eyes and brain hurt from the constant speed up slow down. Let me buy a dune buggy or something, I plan on doing a new playthrough next episode and i really don't want to go through this pain again
  12. By Void, do you mean me, VOYD? Gotta read my signature. *Edit hahaha i was so used to people misspelling my name that I just assumed this was my nation XD
  13. I've actually gotten past this before, but my friend is playing and we can't remember where to go to find Luna after she was kidnapped by Elias. He doesn't have the crystal plug, he hasn't gone to that cultist place, and according to him the last thing he was told to do is go to 7th street.
