  1. Yeah that's it. Findmuck actually really annoys meI realized today lol. I was doing that stupid strength puzzle in the wasteland(the room with like 50 rocks) and had to switch it to a different tune since I couldn't focus. I also realized how much I love the dark cave remix that plays in the citadel and 7th street holy hideout.
  2. It wouldn't be as bad for me if misty terrain didn't prevent electric terrain from working :/
  3. I reckon saphira will have MegaCharXard, as it seems pretty fitting for her. Heather will rpobably get mega salamence, bennet mega heracross(or pinsir), el mega Kangaskhan(YIKES) and noel's sis mega...hmmm...Megagross since her pokemon seem to have an astral theme. I don't like the idea of fan megas myself. That other fangame had them and they totally turned me off from it.
  4. You know, you really don't have to use any of the monkeys to beat the trio members. A levelled lilipup and your starter are really all you need. especially if you're fighting Pansear as incinerate is hilariously weak. Their fight in BW2 was pretty fun I thought. Cress sucks as a partner though.
  5. Trick with Arceus is finding a way to outspeed/incapacitating it(relying on status make sure you know about the 2 full heals), and/or having something that can can a hit while either setting up buffs or debuffing Arceus so that he actually feels whatever hurts you're dealing to him. Again, the new field makes him easier since it increases the chances Judgement won't one shot you by being not very effective. It actually works against him more than it does for him.
  6. I I think Emerald by far is the hardest mainline pokemon game. Flannery and her overheat was like 12 kinds of BS. But that's my fault for not choosing mudkip I guess lol. The battle frontier's pyramid and palace and whatnot were really challenging too. Going into the game blind and it's certainly not what I'd call easy, unless again you're abusing revives and stuff.
  7. Weezing isn't horrible :/ And Venipede, Venusaur, Gengar and Roserade are all poison. You hate them too? Some of you guys are just unfair -pouts-
  8. Man nobody has said Magneton? Magneton is fantastic, and he's also very good against Serra afterwards.
  9. Any pokemon with discharge can really take advantage of the field here too, don't forget. Of course Rotom will also try to do this.
  10. Competitive use =/= ingame use though. A lot of competitively great pokemon might stink in-game for Reborn because you either get them too late or can't access the moves/techs that makes them competitively viable in the first place. They're two different ball-games. TBH I thought Blaziken was pretty underwhelming in Emerald Version because a lot of gyms put him at a disadvantage compared to the other starters. Then again he didn't have speed boost or close combat back then, but he was quite disappointing.
  11. Dude what? Archeops was the easiest for me since just getting it down to half makes it a lot less threatening. Togekiss is a matter of luck, sometimes it's not that bad, other times it ruins the match for you. Gliscor is near impossible to One-shot without ice moves, a lot of set-up or a really strong water type. Those STAB field boosted earthquakes HURT. Acrobatics not as much but still. Noivern's boosted boombursts hurt and it's extremely fast. Talonflame's BS ability guarantees damage even if it's not that hard to KO. I really can't agree with people finding Ciel a pushover or easy, but again, I had no ice moves or types so that's probably part of it.
  12. Garchomp kicked my butt but that's because he had an insane type advantage I had nothing to answer for. This time I actually beat Arceus though via toxic and patience, plus the new field making it slightly easier. Didn't even need to heal! But alas, got no experience from it.
  13. I like the ifrit hoopa. Mega Gengar looks awesome, it's like he's made of hellfire.
  14. Clair and Lance are cousins or something and directly related to the dragon master. A lot of times family does seem to influence whether or not you get in the league, as Falkner mentioned his dad numerous times and Janine inherited the position from koga's promotion. I think beating the league qualifies you to applky as gym leader but it's not a necessity and also seems to be up to the trainer whether they want to or not.
  15. It's kind of sad the striaton trio get so much hate despite offering something different from the first gym and kind of teaching newer, younger players their types. And poor Aya, though initially she does come off as incredibly bitchy and whiny.
  16. Faves Kanto: Sabrina. She is probably my favorite gym leader in the main games. She's the first female character in the game(or leader really) you meet who has this aura of total power and control about her. You learn she beat the old saffron gym so badly they got kicked out the league. She wields the most powerful type in the game and is pretty good looking too. She's one of the franchises' coolest females, and I love her for it. I don't like her gen 4 redesign though, as it made her seem less intimidating. That said she's still quite a beast in PWT for gen 5. Johto: Clair. I have a thing for badass women and Calir certainly has that about her, although she's pretty petty hence why I like Sabrina more. That said Clair was a great last gym leader and probably the most challenging up till that point since chances are you couldn't land any SE hits on her Kingdra. Hoenn: Norman. Your dad was a nonpresence in the games but Hoenn not only finally included him, but made you fight him as a gym leader. Norman is pretty fun since his Slaking could whallop you hard unless you knew how to take advantage of its ability. I like that his design is down to earth and fitting without being boring too, he believably looks like the PC's dad. Sinnoh: Volkner, even if he was kind of a jerk. Mainly it's his design I kind of like more and the fact he's different compared to Surge/wattson. His dynamic with Flint was pretty cool. Unova: Skyla! Okay so she's pretty easy but still! She's totally cute, really friendly and easily my favorite flying leader. I can't resist those short shorts lol. Kalos: -rolls eyes- no doubt my least favorite region and gym leaders, but I guess Korrina was pretty cool. She seemed like the only leader really involved with the PC's development or story and was pretty unique among fighting type leaders in her theme. Plus Hawlucha is cool Reborn: okay this one is tough, as there's a number I really like. Randomus, Charlotte, and Sapphira are top three for sure. Charlotte and Sapphira are perfect examples of the badass women I'm so fond of(and have some of the best lines), and Randomus is one fo the most interesting concepts of a gym leader I've seen yet, from his attitude, design, gym, field effects, it's all just really well done. Least Kanto: Erika, she's just kind of boring to me compared to the others. Plus she seems out of place in celadon city :/ Johto: Chuck, ugh. That shirtless/dad-gut combo should be a crime against humanity. Hoenn: Winoa. I never really got her design or personality too much and her team was kind of weak IMO. Sinnoh: hmmm Fantina I guess, despite her cool team. Her accent was really annoying and she looks like a mega-evolved Jupiter. Unova: Clay. He just came off as kind of a ungrateful jerk initially and he seems to hold a lot of power, being able to determine who can cross the bridge and not. Kalos: idk, a lot of them kind of lacked distinction and personality. Wulfric I guess? Reborn: TERRA. She's funny sometimes but more annoying and feels too INTERNETZLOLZ for my taste, plus she reminds me of Tina from Borderlands which is not cool. She's like the biggest immersion killer in Reborn, although her "gym" is among the best in the game lol. I have this strange relationship with Terra where I kind of hate her, but at the same time know she adds her special something to the game.
  17. ^Hopefully my kid enjoys games and pokemon, cause I'd totally play with them. Dead serious. I remember in 4th grade, me and my friend both bought our gen 2 games(me silver, him gold) along with our link cables and GBCs, This was back during the apex of the pokemon phenomena and it was a free day in class, so like nearly the entire class watched our battle, like half on each side trying to backseat battle and telling what the other was going to do and cheering and whatnot, I think we even used the box legends too in our battle just to make it extra epic.. It was pretty awesome and the kids were getting really hype too, just totally fun. I ended up winning due to my Feraligtr making his flinch with bite as he opted for slash instead. I remember he had Gligar too, and I had Ampharos who rocked the house as usual. It was fun for both of us but i'm not going to lie, that win felt good since we'd been itching for that fight for a while. For Reborn? Beating Shade and Charlotte for the first time in my first run, because those two were like the biggest roadblocks for me and forced me to revise my entire team and SO. MUCH. GRINDING. Now on my current playthrough I did have a total WHATJUSTHAPPENED moment where fighting serra I got her down to her last mon(this is like the 4th or 5th attempt) which was that dreadful frosslass and my electric terrain just ran out during hail so I'm like :[ when it gets two evasion boosts. She takes out Ampharos immediately and I'm left with a yellow health Magneton who's too freakin slow to hit her.before she can off him. I'm like WHELP, she uses shadow ball and it misses. I'm just like 0_0 NO WAY THAT JUST HAPPENED. Mageton wasn't holding anything either, I just got really, really REALLY lucky. Even better? Flash cannon actually hits her because of field effects and one shots her completely, winning me the battle. By far my luckiest win yet.
  18. Sawk and Throh make their clothes from random stuff they find in the wild. Jynx's "body" can dissipate into gas or something I believe, or did early gens. In fact in puzzle challenge her losing pose had her body disappear with only her hair remaining holding a white flag. I think in stadium her body would dissipate too. Weird they didn't make her a ghost type from the get go but i guess she's more a witch than ghost.
  19. i like dual runs because it gives you a bit more freedom than mono runs(whicha re still a blast in their own right) plus you can get some really cool dynamics. Minus the earthquake cheesers(ugh) I'm really having a blast with my electric/poison run and have found both types to be really good at taking advantage of Reborn's field system.
  20. Idk, winning by luck, while cool, isn't very good for the future of your team because you might ever learn to correctly identify your weaknesses. Remember that we'll face Heather at some point who is also a flying specialist IIRC and probably much harder.
  21. Be warned as the special stat works a lot different on her field. Also Swagsire giving you issues? Without a grass move it's may be a problem for your team. I guess Gengar can try to outmuscle it but it's pretty healthy. In fact, a lot of her mons are. Selfdestruct gets a big buff on this field and I almost one-shot Garchomp with a Gigalith using it that was like 8 levels below at least. It also halves the defense of whom it hits.
  22. Cool. That would be my first choice.
  23. Noxious Plume type: poison special BP: 85 acc: 100 PP: 15 Range:all pokemon adjacent to user Description: the user releases a plume of burning toxins around them, inflicting poison and fire damage. May also inflict burn. Learned naturally by: koffing/weezing, skuntank, swalot/gulpin, Houndour/houndoom, Heatmor, Magby/Magmar/Magmortar, detail:Like flying press, this move has a secondary fire typing. While you still aren't able to hit steel types with it, it can be a useful option for poison types against other grass/poison or bug types as well as ice type pokemon. In addition, this move has a 20% chance to inflict burn. Backstab type: dark physical BP 60 acc: 100 PP: 10 Range: one target Description: the user stealthily attacks the opponent from behind. This move always results in a critical hit. Learned by: greninja, skorupi/drapion, zorua/zoroark, purrloin/Liepard, Pawniard/Bisharp, honedge/doublade/ageislash, sneasel/weavile, spinarak/ariados, beedrill detail:Dark's answer to the ice breath/storm throw, this one has a slight buff in power due to critical's nerfage in gen 6(non STAB'd it'd deal 90 BP on critical). Plus cheesing crits is very much fitting with the nature of dark types. Drapion would no doubt get a serious buff off this move as the combination fo sniper and STAB brings its power well over 200 and is more consistent than night slash. Spellbind type: Fairy status BP: --- Acc: --- PP: 5 Range: all enemy pokemon Descripton: the user creates a magic sigil that suppresses all opponents' abilities for 5 turns. Does not negate mold breaker. Learned by: Mismagius, smoochum/Jynx, Clefairy/Clefable, Gardevoir, Flabebe/Floette/Florges, Kadabra/Alakazam, Delphox, Xerneas, Darkrai, Detail: exactly what it says, it prevents enemy pokemon's abilities from working. Even if the user is KO'd, the effect remains although it can be eliminated via defog/rapid spin.
  24. Why is poison not here? :[ It seems to fit in well with eeveslutions being influenced by their enviroment. I'd go with steel though. I'd called it Metalleon and a normal eeveelution should just be its mega evolution.
