  1. Yeah I'd agree with this as well. However I do feel like it's not balanced quite as well as Reborn and Rejuv were in the early game. Charles is a real difficulty spike for so early on and Adrienne is really difficult for that point of the game too. It does smooth out afterwards at least. For fangames not of the Reborn family, I'd recommend Xenoverse. It's excellent and has the best art direction of any fangame I've played honestly. A lot of the NPC art could pass for official art and it comes closer to capturing the aesthetic of the actual games more than any other fangame. The fakemon designs are mostly quite good and it's got a charming cast of characters, plus a great soundtrack. It's not as hard as Reborn's family but still has challenging moments, especially for the first 3rd or so of the game. It does get a lot easier lategame I feel. This is probably my favorite fangame not of the Reborn-trilogy. Its maingame is finished with some of the postgame finished but I think there's still a few things we can't get so I'm not sure the exact status of it. Uranium's fakemons are...dated somewhat and kinda jank-looking(some of the animations/designs are quite good at least) tbh but the game itself is still solid and one of the better fangames. I think the soundtrack for it good too and the story isn't too bad but takes time to get good. I did like the nuclear thing, that was cool. The postgame was never completed for this one but the main game is done. I had fun with it. Insurgence is fun with all the deltas and how the game gives the player a lot to play with so you're never stuck in pokemon poverty with lousy mons like say early game Reborn but the story/writing is....not great? It's not bad and has its moments but it's not why you play Insurgence lol. Some of the music is cool(dat Nyx theme), but not the wild battle theme. The wild battle theme was so bad I actually had to replace it just to get through the game. I thought something was wrong with the game when I first heard it lol. Also it repeats the same 3-4 town music for every town which gets old. It's weird because the cult leaders have so much effort put into their music but then the towns and some other themes feels rather lacking in comparison. It's a real shame. The only other ones I played were Daybreak and Empire which I just started. Empire is very weird but fresh in how it approaches the mechanics which makes it stand out. It's not for everyone and I'd honestly only recommend it for more hardcore players because it's overwhelming otherwise with all its changes and field system. Plus it has some questionable design choices, some of which are very offputting. Kind of feels like a a love it or hate it game from what I played of it so far.. Daybreak I would recommend if you want to play a fangame that's not any of the above I guess?
  2. OOOOOH NIIIIIICE!!!! I didn't even know the seed did that! That's amazing, great job. But I think you're kinda underrating Ryland and Souta a bit. You might be good with souta because of Noivern but Ryland was tough IMO.
  3. Huh thanks, cool this should make catching up low levels just a bit easier! Thanks Jan!
  4. ATM no there isn't sadly. I really dug their Tapus and designs, ice girl was the trickiest for me actually. Man screw that ski mon lol.
  5. Is Venam ever going to get back her purple hair?

  6. If I had to rate them from most to least difficult: Ferrothorn > Gardevoir > Chandelure > Garbador > Aelita > Carnivine > Galvantula > Gyrados > Volcanion I haven't done dufaux yet since I don't know how to get to him atm.
  7. Thanks I had no idea there was a patch. How on earth did I miss that.
  8. *gasp* there was a patch? Hmm weird because I downloaded it from here but it's 12.1 I think?
  9. If you proceed as the MC too far without the others during the color switch puzzle, it'll give you the "wait for the others" message and then won't let you switch between them anymore, preventing you from progressing any further.
  10. I just did this one for the first time and beat it first attempt. I had originally planned on using skuntank to poison it with toxic but I wasn't expecting a doubles battle nor was I expecting it to be poison type lol. Instead I had dusknoir us curse on one then wait it out with krookadile and for the other it went with pain split from mismagius + passive burn damage from ren's arcanine. Honestly it was one of the easier rift battles I thought. And unlike Ferrothorn hippowdon is quite slow.
  11. You're missing the point. The audino trainers are there mainly to help your pokemon catch up levels but this one particularly so as the audino don't even have attacking moves, they just spam healing wish. Since healing wish is a psychic move, the AI believes audino can't harm the opponent and thus switches into...another audino with only healing wish. So now you end up with the AI stuck in a switch loop between the two. This is just mildly annoying but combined with regenerator it makes the battle drag out quite a bit to where it's pretty annoying, especially if your pokemon can't do a lot of damage. I don't even think the audino switching was to be intentional for this battle, but just a unique case of jank resulting from the AI system Rejuv uses. Rather than change the AI just making the ability healer for all 3 audino would at least remove the annoyance of them regenerating health everytime they switched.
  12. Hey suggestion but can you set the ability of the audino used by phillip on route 9 to NOT be regenerator? If you use a dark type he does nothing but switch between audino over and over which combined with regenerator can drag out the fight and actually sap all your PP even. It's rather annoying.
  13. Natural cure can be useful for this fight, since you'll spend half of it asleep lol. If you have the TM for roar, someone in another thread said they used that to make gardevoir bugger off allowing them to take out her helpers first, making it easier to focus on her. I know there's a move relearner in GCD's shopping district. If you can use the crystal to get back to the present, you can use the claydol at the oasis to teleport you back to GCD IIRC. I could be wrong though as I never tried it myself. But I think the claydol is supposed to be able to teleport you back into the city. Can't you use energy ball for sceptile instead?
  14. Okay I don't blame you not wanting to grind axew up lol. Hooo boy, I can see why you're sweating this fight. Is there any way you can get super fang back on your higher levelled Noivern? I feel like that can help with softening up the pokemon especially since they're fairly bulky. You could also just grind up the other one that already knows it but that's a lot of grinding. The audino trainer on route 9 is the fastest since they just spam healing wish but I'm not sure if you can go there at that point. Does sky have cloud nine or natural cure? Also how come sceptile is so physical? Its special attack is much better.
  15. Yeah that fight is...hard. Being fairy messes up your offensive power and even then she's quite bulky. However I don't think she uses any actual fairy moves, since the field weakens them. She has dark pulse, sacred sword, dream eater and lovely kiss I believe. Hmm who is your current lineup? Like levels and moves and such? I'd recommend getting some chesto berries which I believe you can buy from someone in the past era, I remember I got like 20 of them. Sleep is super annoying in this fight and half the difficulty in itself. In fact being able to deal with sleep somehow is a must for this fight IMO. Her kirlia/ralts are extremely annoying and problematic with their sleep/night shade combo. The kirlia is fairy/fire and the ralts is fairy/poison IIRC. I paralyzed Gardevoir herself so we wouldn't get outsped as much which can help but since she takes so long to KO, you might want to use perish song and grind it out. Safeguard helps with fighting sleep if any of your dudes have that. Also I know you can't EV Axew but between having him as dead weight and being fully evolved and at least somewhat useful, I'd take the latter.
  16. I suspect Nim is like, an ultra beast or pokemon trapped in human form.
  17. TBH Charles is kinda ridiculous. Of Reborn/Rejuv/Deso this one has the worst case of early game hell. He's maybe top 5 hardest leader in the game though not unbeatable.
  18. V12? Maybe Greninja with protean? Only thing is Greninja requires good moves to make good use of protean and due to the early game struggle you don't really have access to a good amount of moves for a while so he won't be *that* great at first. I never used him in Rejuv but I did in Reborn and he was great by lategame there but early on suffered from his moveset. I think his strength is his versality and being able to adapt to a lot of gyms. In rejuv I only used Primarina, Infernape, Incineroar and Blaziken. I like Incineroar because of intimidate which is useful for all the double fights and just in general. Primarina was solid from what I remember, Infernape was too.
  19. I still think people overrate Blaziken somewhat. There's certain fights where this works well(Adam provided you've taken away the field) but he's at a disadvantage for a lot of tougher battles, and his bulk is honestly not amazing which makes switching him in unreliable since he can get KO'd before gaining momentum. Plus until he gets his speed boost he's merely average speed wise, and against fast-late game optimized mons can still lose out even with a +1 boost stacked unless you've fully invested in speed yourself. Another thing is his best moves all have some sort of drawback via recoil(flare blitz) or unreliable accuracy which makes him subjectable to choking. If you're playing on switch mode he's probably better since he gets free switch ins/switch outs which benefits him(as it does all glass cannons and heavy hitters) . But on set and in doubles his weaknesses become more noticeable. Blaziken is still good, don't get me wrong but I don't think he's easy mode or "hands down the best starter" as I've seen claimed a lot here.
  20. Looking at the Rejuv Wiki  and oh wow, Tesla is actually pretty hot? And Narcissca look SUPER good for a 56 year old lol.

  21. Idk why but eli and sharon give me the most trouble out of Xen's admins. And they aren't even admins. I can't even beat this airship fight, thankfully it's optional.

EDIT: Finally after around 10 tries I beat them. For supposed "gag" characters they're really strong, which is jarring since the story treats them like they're not.. Worst part is how Sharon shames you if you lose to them, gee thanks lol.

  22. Wait v13 is going to have story changes? I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the terrain move changes. I kind of understand because Grookey would be like a gamebreaker otherwise but at the same time I feel like the current system gives a lot of pokemon a niche that will get taken away. Togedamaru is fantastic in this game because of sturdy + electric terrain giving it a nice spot for field control especially in gym and rift battles. Now that's going to be taken away and it's going to be nerfed somewhat. Er also I think I found an oversight, but after leaving the stadium to board the ship you can take the train to route 9, except if you do you can't get back to the stadium through the train, as it just takes you to route 9 again despite being already there. I had to reload(though now that I think about it I probably could've used fly).
  23. Dude this Huey fight is total BS. It's an actual luck based mission and it's annoying having to do the previous two fights everytime.

EDIT: finally beat him an hour later. How on earth did this chump give me a harder time than Gardevoir????

  24. Not all the animations are done, that's why. Some moves don't have them yet.
