Yeah but I couldn't wait. It's fun at least.

  2. You guys beat Vulcan? That's huge. Vulcan was a powerhouse in the beginning and were hungry for victory after a close loss with Avalon, which Gaia denied. GGs to all who played, I know that even with an overall advantage stuff like sunny choicephlosion could deal some heavy damage and result in a loss. Looks like Avalon are our foes this week. How exciting. We took down Vulcan, and we can take down Aavalon as well. The earth will outlast any empire forged by man, never forget that.
  3. So swagger is allowed in UU doubles? Where else is it allowed?
  4. Avalon is slaying. But there is still Gaia, and all living things must kneel to the earth eventually.
  5. Water was actually a favorite of mine back in the day but gen 4 kind of changed everything for me. In fact fighting and poison were two of my least favorite types before gen 4. Fairy is pretty nice though. I love it for it checking dragon and buffing poison/steel offensively but I don't like what it did to fighting, as it's made scrafty drop kind of hard.
  6. Fighting, poison, and flying. I like fighting because many of them are clever takes on real life fighting styles and rely on mastering actual technique(though it helps they usually have super-level physical prowess as well) as opposed to just farting out fireballs or vomitting lasers. Plus they seem like they'd be really cool to see in action since their moves tend to have a lot of oopmh to them on impact. They're the DBZ fighters of pokemon, and that's awesome. My favorite fighting types are probably Megalopunny, Infernape, Mienshao, Scrafty, and (Mega)lucario, Poison I grew to like admittedly because for the longest time it was quite an underappreciated type. Many of the pokemon weren't too cute, it stunk offensively(sometimes literally), there wasn't a lot of powerful poison moves, and it seemed cowardly compared to just blasting your opponent with fire or whatever. But I felt like defensively it was always solid enough and with a mix of patience and cleverness, you could end up doing some fine work with them. 4th gen is where I started to gain a bigger appreciation for poison due to toxicroak and drapion mainly, then gen 5 added scolipede(garbador too) and I figured that hey, I can finally make a poison monotype team with pokemon I all like. But gen 6 is what set poison from being a type I liked to one I loved, as it got some very nice buffs in the fairy factor as well as 3 megas, all of which are good(and one that's VERY good). Toxic spikes is also a really cool move and poison is the one type that's only gotten better and better as the game has evolved, something that can't be said for every type. My favorite poison types are Drapion, Scolipede, Gengar, Crobat, and Nidoking. Flying has recently taken over steel as my 3rd favorite type. Now I always liked flying but found them a bit boring since fly was what I'd alwas end up using in the main games. But after playing a monotype flying run in reborn my love for the type grew and I've found myself loving the supportive potential of flying types with tailwind and defog plus roost allowing more defensive fliers to last quite a long time in battle. The diversity in flying types I feel is second to none and keeps flying monoruns from ever feeling too limited(though I suppose they do end up easier as a result). They also sport some very powerful pokemon, including some of the strongest ubers. On another note, Skies of Arcadia is one of my favorite games of all time and flying is a pokemon type that alludes perfectly to the game, so that's a plus too. My favorite flying types are Staraptor, Sigilyph, Gliscor, Togekiss, and Emolga.
  7. Actually it's a little ice monster with snow on its head stylized to resemble soft serve ice cream. But I still want to know why the idea of an ice cream-styled pokemon is so terrible to people. It's not even made of actual ice cream.
  8. Play rough is the strongest fairy physical move so I can understand it being more intricate but a slight reduction in length would be better for gameplay flow I think. I do love the animation though.
  9. i'm pretty sure that I said it wasn't terrible about the pose referencing and many professionals do it. It's nothing to be ashamed of really. Admittedly the fashion ones stuck out to me because my sister has magazine pics with some really similar poses Don't take it too personally, it wasn't meant as an insult.
  10. Caz what is recliff city's music based off? Anyway I finally picked up magnemite! It's at level 30 now and a magneton, so I now have a full team. I think I should be able to handle the 2nd gym leader. Also shiv and that other guy with the zorua look cool. It's obvious some of the areas/sprites were copy-edited from reborn buuut I do like many of the portraits. EDIT: I beat the 2nd gym leader, and it ended up much tougher than I thought it would. I had to evolve quilava and honchkrow confusing magneton was pretty nasty and that LO boosted sucker punch...OW. She can easily sweep an entire team.
  11. Hmm the serpeior/medicham one has some bizarre perspective issues, like the stairs are huge and the buildings look way too small.. Also as nice as the fashionista pics are I think it's kind obvious the poses were either traced or copied. Not that this is terrible, as a lot of even professional artists do this.
  12. Yup that was it, thanks. The way the ranger described it made me think it was the wooden door. Also I got to know, what music is redcliff city a remix of? It's lovely but I'm having trouble recognizing its basis.
  13. Er so on the guild mission with exploring the depths, I found a door but can't unlock it and there's no key in my inventory except a village gate key for kenneph village. Is the quest borked? Didn't the ranger who give you the quest slip you a key?
  14. Avalon eh? They're the high tom titties ATM so you're going to have to bring your A-game if you hope to win. Just know that Gaia wishes you the best of luck against them.
  15. ^Being fire/fairy would fit too. It'd need some more fairy moves though.
  16. Dedenne is admittedly my least favorite. Cool typing, but it looks like Stunted Growth Raichu.
  17. I lost last week, plus I suck at doubles, so I'm sitting this one out.
  18. So you know them, you love them(or not) and like it or not they are an honored tradition in pokemon, it's the Pika-clones! But which one tickles Reborn's fancy most? I didn't include marill aka "pikablu" because he's not true pika-blood despite how fanwank likes to claim otherwise. Me? I go with Raichu pikachu may have that mass appeal, but raichu is still the coolest member of the Pikafamily and has yet to be topped.
  19. Some very interesting choices here. Scolipede? Hyrdriegon? Aurorus? Great tastes.
  20. ^ Roid raging poliwhirl You know what? This. This is my answer, I take back what I said before. I cannot stand this ugly scumbag. Cool typing and concept, but its expression, its cry, it's ugly wife beater aesthetic, that freakin meme, UGH this thing is just another strike against gen 6 and why it's my least favorite gen. I HATE Diggersby and sorry Nations, I'm not using this despicable sack of dirt EVER even if it meant winning against the other team in an decisive match. NO, screw diggersby. This reminds me of a story I read on another forum where a guy said his daughter was playing X/Y and started crying when her bunnelby evolved due to how utterly repulsive this monstrosity is.
  21. I think Blastoise works well too, since it can be like a ship's cannons.
  22. Came here to eat my words. Gotta say, not as salty as expected. You guys earned this win, congrats. Good luck next week with whoever you face.
