No problem. There are so many different kinds of challenges you could take aside from monotype such as nuzlocke, chalenge run, generation run, and theme run. Makes replaying much more enjoyable and challenging.

I looked at Poliwrath's moveset and it shows that Submission is a move learned at Level 1 which means you can only obtain it through the move relearner

You'd have to bear with it for a while. Most types have full teams by fourth or fifth gym I guess. But some like Ghost or Steel are a bit more tough.

I agree that in the anime the pokemon are having complex personalities. Even if they're just using pokemon language, they show different expressions and emotions. I have seen this both in XY and Sun and Moon. Also, in Reborn, the emphasis of the story is heavily seen in the characters. It explores human nature at its finest and shows how humans adapt to the different stimulus in the ruined world they are in. I do believe that the Pokemon in Reborn mainly serve as a means for them to fight for their goals and i don't think they even have time for bonding and cherishing pokemon.

It's kind of hard in certain battles wherein the opponent is using a mono that is of your weakness. Early game was really hard for my mono water team both with the Tangrowth in Obsidia pre nerf and Florinia. Fern and Sigmund were also quite difficult while Blake did take a challenge. Charlotte and Terra were especially easy due to the type advantage though.

I selected 'mons I liked for a variety of reasons either due to looks, typings, strength, and experiences with them. Kind of hard to decide between certain 'mons though.

You can try a monorun if you'd like. It's quite enjoyable. I did a mono water run with lower tier mons and it was fun.

For Victini, wouldn't it be better to lean on one attacking stat rather than both? This will allow higher damage output. For Gardevoir and Alakazam, they technically serve the same purpose. I think it's better to have supporting moves for either as it isn't necessary to basically have similar coverage. For Deoxys Def, I also agree that you should simply place EVs on HP and another stat (either offense or defense) Also, I noticed that it's quite possible to be wrecked by Mono Bug due to having only pokemon with a move against it and it's not even having 100 accuracy.
