Hello. It seems that this discussion has reached it's boiling point. People are getting upset, and regardless of whether or not this post was originally intended as a joke, it's gotten out of hand. I understand wanting something for a game you like, we all do. I also understand that humor is not always taken as it is meant to be, but it is also a reality that the comedian must know when to take a bow and a step back when their joke gets misinterpreted. Revergercm, you've shown yourself capable to recognize the possibility that people are upset over this course of action, so I urge you to no longer dismiss it. Everything I'm saying here is advice, as I do not wish nor do command any power over what anyone else does; I can simply tell you this: The way things are currently going, this will end up with you getting warned. Regardless whether this is fair or not in your opinion, my suggestion to you is to be the bigger man, lock the thread, and move on with your day.
  2. Matthew felt a disturbance in the force. Somewhere, a chanty was being sung, and he was not a part of it. "Wey hey, indeed." The man muttered softly, before shooting a smirk to the armored woman. "I sure hoped that it wasn't." The time had given him the chance to get used to the pain, to flex and see how far his scarred muscles would go. Far enough, one supposes. Holding his sword with his right hand again, Matthew withdrew another pistol and held it with his left. "Time for the next attempt." "Zagi, throw a fireball and move to the side. Attack her from the right flank." He had heard their names during selection, but hadn't seen a purpose in calling them by name until now. Building kinship among the team members would be important, however, and so he should. "Debronee, summon your sword at my position. Let me know when you're about to do it, though." Matthew was speaking calmly, loud and clear so that all people in the room could hear him without difficulty. "If you were a mortal, you'd have been injured by my last attack. As anima, this next one won't hurt you either, but I'll make sure that, if you were mortal, it'd have killed you." With this announcement, Matthew's muscles visibly tense, and his eyes sharpen, staring patiently at Snow for signs of movement. "Zagi, we begin at your mark."
  3. But alas, Icarus flew far too close to the sun, enthralled by it's beauty, and the wax did melt, and the boy did plummet to the ground.

  6. Did you know? The OOC is being constantly updated to reflect important characters and creatures you meet as you do. If you find new things about those characters, they can be added in as well! So remember to always check out the second post if you've forgotten someone's name or would like to review a piece of information about a person or a creature. It might help! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It clutched at the little fairy with it's claw-hands, all four of them. The creature winced as it was turned apart, but it's body hadn't dissappeared as a Fae's body should. Instead, the little pieces that rolled off of his monster-child's mouth, carried over by the dollops of blood, pus and drool he would release almost constantly - specially when feeding - turned into stone. It had worked. He had finally done it. Once and for all, and at long last. He could finally die. Leon, Leonis, Gizmo Headmaster Horom greets all of you warmly, but his face grows serious when all show up. He points to the three chairs in front of the table, and motions for you to sit. After you are all properly sat down, the man moves to the other side of the room. With a wave of his hand, the entire room seems to drain away, revealing itself to be an illusion. after seconds in a sea of darkness, a new scenary seems to appear as if falling from the sky. The three of you are now sat in front of a grand hall, with a man you know to be King Augustus the Second sat in the highest chair, in the middle of the room. Three chairs to each of his sides stood half as tall. Directly to his right and left, sat Michael Kronis and Raphael Ernestus respectively, the High Generals of Mithra. To Michael's side sat Alice Swiftedge, master of the steel guild, followed by Marianne, headmistress of the shadow guild. To Raphael's side sat Arthur Bright, headmaster of the blood guild, and Horace Fleetfloot, headmaster of the heat guild. Horom stood in front of all of them, turned towards the three apprentices. WIth a wink, the man seemed to seemingly vanish, reappearing almost immediately in a chair of his own, floating quietly above the king's throne. The king stood up, followed by his generals. The three walked towards you, and the king shook each of your hands personally. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Leonis, Leon, Gizmo. Your masters have spoken highly of you." Augustus nods, and turns to Michael. "My dearest general, if you'd please?" The man nods in turn, and the King and Raphael return to their seats. "You three have been called as . We asked each guild leader to offer one - Eugene suggested you, Gizmo. Alice suggested Leonis, and Leon was suggested by Marianne. The other two guild masters' referrals have already been briefed, due to varying circumstances, and they will meet you in the field. Now, onto why you were called." Michael paces the table back and forth as he speaks, not nervously, but clearly agitated. This is a man built for combat, and a single glance makes that clear. While he is serene, his face belies the fact that the life of an administrator is a painful one for him. "We need the three of you to deliver a package. To Emperor Zane, of the elven empire." The general stops, awaiting for your reaction. It becomes clear that whatever this summon is for, it's something important; And they are expecting you to recognize this. Jewel, Seyr Jewel awaited patiently inside the room, now fully-clothed, until a bright flash of light caught her attention. Seemingly from thin air, space would rip itself apart and two figures, a boggart and what seems to be a normal human, step inside. As soon as the human's foot touches the ground, the very structure begins to shake. The room expands and the walls collapse, revealing nothing but white around them. In this much greater space, the figure of Zane was projected through magic into the sky, his visage clear as day. Before either of them could notice, the Boggart had vanished. But the ground didn't stop shaking. Seyr felt energy sourge through his body, forcing him to shift against his will. He'd remember it mentioned before that no Fae is allowed to visit the elven lord in anything but their true form, and he'd soon realize his body was shifting, expanding, taking his original shape. The Silver Wyvern stood tall, occupying a large portion of the space, and creating a stark contrast with the minuscule fairy at it's side. "I permit you to keep these forms, and I apologize for making you do so." Zane's voice echoes. It is not ruthless nor commanding, but serene and quiet, almost like a hushed whisper. "And I beg your pardon for approaching you in such a discretive manner. I need assistance, and I need it to be kept discreet. This is why you two were chosen; I believe between yourselves you will find it most easy to accomplish this." Zane continues. "As you are aware, my predecessor was made to willingly take her own life, forcibly removing herself from the cycle of rebirth. Olcadil had ruled us for over ten thousand years, and her loss was a great one, but I wish to learn from her mistakes. Forgive me if I seen polarizing, my friends, but regardless were the five betrayers were right when the war happened, in this era, they words certainly ring true. With mortals mastering magic beyond their understanding, it falls to us to guide them. To bridge this gap of hatred that exists between our peoples, and hopefully, lead both mortals and fae to a brighter future. This is why you two were chosen. I hope that, from all other fae, you two would agree with me. I'd like you to answer me first. Should you refuse, worry not about your lives. I will simply remove your memories of this event, as it is my right, and you will be allowed to continue your existances freely. What is your choice?"
  7. And the little half-thing, so fragile and weak, surrounded itself with make-believe so it could feel real.

  8. The nice thing about having separate people working on stuff is that I can still work on the story while Kuro works on online features. Don't worry, I got this. Granted, we should probably be focusing on bugs first, this kind of just... happened. Mostly because Amethyst continuously underestimates how fast I am. (Though props go to Alexandre, the original creator, for kindly allowing public usage of his base script) It'll happen. But there's no ladder system. Ultimately you only play against your friends/the people you choose to play with. So if one of your friends is being a jerkbutt and using hacked Pokemon, it's as simple as not playing with that person until they wanna go at it fairly. It will, but there is a ban-ip function and we may start banning people who are obviously cheating if we're given proof..
  9. When it gets implemented, there'll be a more official announcement. As I'm having computer issues right now, I can't work on Reborn at all (which also means the online system is not progressing. Grr.)
  10. I used to work as a SAP ABAP R/3 Systems development team leader. I currently work as a SAP ABAP R/3 Systems analyst. Tl;dr both sound boring, the first was, the second isn't, and I wish I could be paid to sleep.
  11. Someone fixed the cd-player. Damn thing's been stuck for a decade.
  12. hey time for a change of face hit me up
  13. how dare you do this to your pokémon they trusted you
  14. If this was any commercial release game, and a weapon or item was deemed too powerful, would it not be removed or nerfed? Nerfing the pokémon would make the game untrue to the reality of the franchise, so we're left with that one alternative.
  15. Thanks for reminding me to add a few checks to make sure people can't get pokémon BEFORE they're supposed to either.
  16. I'm going to tell you right now that you won't be able to use these types of pokémon from episode 16 onwards, so getting them is pointless.
  17. You may notice the post sizes were... Disproportionate. This is because there's only so much exposition I can put in at once without making the post too massive, and we have a lot of important characters to go through. Don't worry, though; Everyone will have their chance to shine eventually.
  18. It gorged itself on the food he brought. That thing. That offspring of his. It ate and it devoured and it didn't care for a moment who it was that it devoured. It killed what used to be the parents of the beings who birthed the malformed shapes that now composed it. this grotesque, half-thing, incomplete by origin and purpose, clinged onto life so dearly it's progenitor couldn't help but smile. He was growing quick. Soon it would be time. Gizmo Horom In his maddening haste, Gizmo ran past without ever actually greeting his father, and so was never able to receive the royal seal he needed to gain passage into the castle. The guards stared at him solemny as he pleaded his case, undoubtedly seeing him as some sort of madman, almost to the point were Gizmo barely considered giving up and going home. Fuck this, prison isn't that bad after all, right? "Well, well, what have we here?" A familiar, childish voice cooed behind him with glee. Gizmo recognized it instantly. Before he could even mutter the words "grandfather", the man - if he could be called that - spun him around into a hug. The partriarch of the Gizmo family looked much younger than his offspring. In fact, there are many who'd assume him to be Gizmo's son, gods forbid his grandfather! The man-child looked thirteen years old, wearing the same platinum-blonde, gelled-back hair his grandson wore, only his was hidden under a large-brimmed conical hat that was almost as tall as the man wearing it; Which is, to say, not that tall at all. Eugene Horom was comically short, standing at just a foot and a half tall. All this added to his childish appearance, and Gizmo knew very well this was no facade. Eugene Horom was not only the current headmaster of the Time Guild, he was the only headmaster. When he learned time magic from the elven clockmaker Morthil three hundred years ago, his mastery over time grew so great he learned how to rewind his own biological clock and freeze it, permanently keeping him eighteen years old. In this sense, Eugene was more fae than man, for he had achieved that which all mortals desire: Biological imortality. Gizmo, of course, loved and adored his uncle, so this surprise was a good one - They rarely had the chance to meet, with Gizmo being able to count in one hand how many times he'd seen his grandfather in his entire life, and though he thought this would change upon joining the Time Guild, it didn't very much at all. "General Horom!" The knights announced, snapping Gizmo back into reality. "It's an honor, sir!" Oh, right, there was also that. As one of the first mortal mages, his grandfather was also a war hero. One of the men who led the charge against the elves, Eugene Horom became known as the Northern Griffin due to his ability to suspend himself from time in such a way he could neglect gravity and fly, making him one of the deadliest combatants in the great elven war. This seemed impossible looking at him, yet the silent aura of might that hid behind the man's innocent smile and the respect he commanded with his very presence proved otherwise. "Come on, Gizmy! I was the one who called for you anyway; Let me just take you in with me!" Horom nodded at the guards, who immediately parted to open way, and pointed to the great open halls of the Mithran palace. "After you, kid!" Leonis Klaw “Good, you’re here!” The messenger looked at the man, then offered him a short nod, and held out his hand with a metal Leonis would recognize as the royal seal. “Your majesty summons you. You are to report to the palace at once!” The mean clearly seems to mean at once, given how he turns and motions for you to follow immediately afterwards. Seyr “Your emperor summons you.” The boggart’s tone is eloquent, but arrogant and bold. Seyr recognized this; An elf, punished into becoming a boggart for one or ten lifetimes. Punishment for a minor crime, as elves are supposed to be absolutely immaculate. At least this meant he wasn’t going to attack this village; This type of fae was far too arrogant to ever even consider recognizing the existence of a human being. This said, it was clear this one had been a boggart for far too long. Although it remained serene and composed, it’s mouth drooled disgustingly, with a large pool of the murky-red liquid, almost the color of diluted blood, formed below his feet. Seems he was watching you for a while. He notices your gaze, and in somewhat of an ashamed hurry wipes his blood-colored snot-like slob from his face. “Either way, let’s hurry up. I will open the portal, and we will go immediately. No time to waste!” He looks at you again, almost glaring at your suspicious look, but then he smiles. “Oh! Smart, to doubt me. I forgot. Here.” He shows you the emperor’s sigil, and as far as you can tell it’s the real deal. The creature opens the portal and motions through it in a hurry. “Quick! Before the humans see me! Come on!” If Seyr were to remember little Marianne, upon looking back he’d notice she seemed frozen in place, as if everything around them had stopped. Seems this boggart is more powerful than it looks. Jewel Jewel would notice a small version of an elven formal dress resting near the cork of the bottle, and she’d find it easy to remove from there and to wear, accentuating her shape so perfectly it almost looked slightly risqué. She recognized the royal palace as she was taken inside, and then placed in a large, closed room with nothing but a table and a few chairs. She was placed in the center of the table, and the bottle was then uncorked. A guard spoke. “I apologize, but I ask that you wait patiently until the others arrive. Things will be explained shortly.” Leon Rader I guess it was lucky of you to start training early today. As you trained in the outer grounds of the Steel Guild, you noticed that the guildmaster was oddly absent – She usually was awake as soon as or even sooner than you were – yet today she was nowhere to be seen. Paying no mind to it – The guildmaster’s business was none of your own, after all, you continued to train. When the messenger arrived, he had to go through you first, and so you were quickly briefed. You received your seal, and was told to go to the royal palace. Time was wasting, you figured, and off you went. You arrived there without a hitch, showing the guards the seal and being let into a large waiting room. You sat down and shifted uncomfortably in the lavish, spacious sofa you were upon, glancing around the pearly-white halls for a few minutes before the guards opened the doors again. “Oh? It seems we weren’t the first!” A childish voice announces, a gnome entering the room soon followed by another, seemingly older and taller. Leon recognized the man’s clothing; He was Eugene Horom, headmaster of the Time Guild, and hero of the war. Respect was due.
  19. I don't remember when it began. The darkness came suddenly and in a blink there was no more light. Without any other choice, I began fighting. For years I fought, and the more I did so, the more people I met, and the more people I lost. The first warrior was a gentle one. Quiet with word but quick with blade, he fought by my side until I couldn't bear to see him wounded again. Although we didn't part ways, it again became just me. And the darkness. Funny how you can almost develop a kinship with it. A symbiotic relationship with you and what seeks to end you. The second warrior was a barbarian. With am axe that cut the dark with each swing, we fought together for years. At her side, I was indestructible, but at my side, she was frail. To understand this broke me. I pushed her away and made her go her way. I hear she's found happiness in a far off land, away from the darkness. It makes me glad for her. I couldn't understand why this happened, however. The third warrior appeared in a flurry of emotion, and my world drowned in red. I embraced his fury. Together, we fought not just the darkness but all who stood in our way as well. I saw this as truth, and took it to heart. With time, however, my mind grew past rage and into complacency, and soon we could no longer fight together. The bloodlust there once was subsided. The fourth warrior was an angel. Immaculate and flawless, she banished the darkness away with little more than her presence. During our years together we did more than I ever thought I could. The battle seemed won. Yet just as quickly as she came she was taken away, dragged by the darkness towards oblivion. This enraged me. I submerged myself in the darkness, convinced to take it down with me. The fifth warrior was young, and deserved better. As she fought by my side she realized the darkness was beginning to overtake me. There was no longer anything that could be done. We parted in silence, as words weren't needed. The last warrior was the first, but I couldn't force myself to watch them suffer again. And so I kept fighting, alone, in hopes of one day surpassing that which seeks to end me. But I soon realize the truth: I can never defeat the darkness, as I am it's origin. And so, as I watch it slowly eat away at my sanity, the thought settles in. I know I can't kill it. But I can kill myself.
  20. I believe this topic has, for now, served it's purpose.
  21. I'll send him a message. If he takes too long, I'll just alter the plot so that Gizmo oversleeps and he'll catch up later.
