I'd be willing to give you all the free time I have (at work where I can do nothing)

  2. On the post directly above yours, I quoted the first post, where I explicitly said questions about future episodes weren't going to be answered.
  3. Well, you can definitely expect it. No clue whether it's actually gonna happen though
  4. Tyranitar wise, that depends on a few things. First of all, was that really meant to kill? Second, you're assuming "Pokémon World" humans work the same way as our world humans do, which they can't given they can stand near pokémon told to be literally as hot as the surface of the sun without getting even a slight heatstroke. So they must be made of sterner stuff, right? There's also such a thing as transfer of energy/momentum. While Amaria would undoubtedly receive the brunt of the attack regardless, depending on how energy dissipates, it could be non-lethal - If Tyranitar hit her legs, for example. As for water, surface tension is nullified somewhat by flow; You can see a few examples of people surviving from incredibly high heights like falling off of a bridge because something else fell first and broke the water surface, causing tension to diminish. This happens because of what surface tension is; The attraction between water particules. If you break that bond artificially - Like by dropping something on it - surface tension lessens. Enough not to kill a particular gym leader? Maybe not, but given that we're working now under the assumption that these are naturally more resilient humans and we have real-world examples of people falling from similar heights and surviving, it doesn't become that unlikely that Amaria survived. BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A G- Nevermind. Amethyst owes me big time
  5. While I get what you mean, this is still a non-competitive game. Yes, some moves that could see use were they to be introduced later are outclassed by the available TMs by the time they do, but is that really a problem? It's not like anyone downright loses by not having this movepool available; They still get the TMs, albeit later, and admitedly after they're past the point where they'd be most useful, but eh. The moves are still available early on through other means - such as breeding - so it's not like you're locked out of having them in a radical fashion. That said, it could be interesting to scrutinize with further detail moves that could be placed sooner into the game as to give higher tactical advantage to early game teams - "tactical advantage" being the keyword here, as I'd think something like thunder-wave would be more benefitial in terms of rewarding players for thinking strategically than, say, snarl. But, well, we'll see. Stranger things have happened.
  6. Nah. And the way we handle stress is by shouting out loud "EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART" then running in circles. Then crying in fetal position for roughly half an hour. And my friends think it's pretty cool. And peanut butter is weird and I dislike it. 1 -> All of the above. 2-> That greatly depends on improving Essential's AI, which is inherently flawed. The only way the general NPCs would learn that is if we could improve the way the game "thinks" for them, which right now is not a priority, since other things - such as making the NPCs not suck period - are our first and main concern. Once/if we can improve the AI in that regard, then it could be feasible for us to upgrade the general AI to be mindful of field effects, though that'd be a complex and case-by-case scenario that could still be unreasonable to try ever after/if we get to it.
  7. Favorite fruit? Melon. Favorite juice is mango, though. Tea of coffee? I can't stand coffee. Tea all day. When did you first develop an interest in computers and code? When I was fifteen years old and I moved out to live on my own, I started trying to learn how to do minor fixes on things by myself. This led to me learning how to assemble a computer, although this wouldn't directly translate into coding for years. I first majored economy, then gastronomy, almost studied psychology abroad, and then I was finally told to "just try it" by my best friend, who at the time I had known for over ten years. So I started the major and I was immediately told by my teachers I was a natural at it. I started learning more and growing more and more interested in following it, and the rest is history. Tl;dr: Don't worry if you can't figure out what you want in life yet, I couldn't and now I pretend to be a black fox in a pokémon fan game forums! ...That didn't sound as inspiring as I hoped it would. Marcello, you're a great guy with a willingness to learn and a drive to succeed. Find your way to Brazil and to a degree in computer sciences and I'll personally get you a job.
  8. Favorite book of all time: How to become king, Jan Terlouw. Favorite book series; Kingkiller Chronicles. Patrick Rothfuss. Favorite scientific book: Thus sprach Zarathrustra, Friederich Nietzsche Favorite comic series: Probably spiderman. Do you like cartoons? Some. Pizza or hamburgers? Diet! (Pizza if I could). Glass: Half empty, or Half Full? Who the fuck drank half my glass of water? Well, I can't say I've ever met you, so I can't give an opinion about you!
  9. These I can answer. Will we ever get to know the full details/stories of the real life people behind the characters of reborn? (we already know some of them but there are still a lot of missing details and stories) Will we ever find out how they're doing right now ? Yes. Will the remaining gym leaders retain a charlotte-like difficulty or be more of a serra-like joke? They'll scale in difficulty. Would you ever consider making a MD game with a darker plot like reborn? Someone was already doing that.
  10. Well in this scenario we have to first remember red novian worms are naturally fireproof so using fire - the element you neglected to address - would be invalid. However the fact the creature is the size of a gas giant actually helps us; See, the Red Novian has a weakspot on it's underside, usually only small enough to notice but this one would be about the size of a cherry; Because of this you could shove in a wood pick from the wood of a class 59 duotrylene planet and it would destabilize the worm, causing it to explode. Into cookies.
  11. I'm gonna say E14 was pretty quick, at least in the scripting side. It was when I just joined and was pumping new implementations every other day.
  12. Building off of what Amethyst has already said, basically we haven't gotten that far up in terms of move tiers yet.
  13. If we discovered a way to reliably travel throught space(as in going anywhere in space, not just our observable universe), I'd probably sell everything I own for a chance at a trip. Otherwise... Technology that allows one to alter their body or mind would probably greatly assist in psychological treatment and staying fit, so that'd be great. And virtual reality. God bless virtual reality that would give me both those things.
  14. Well, let's detail this a bit more with what the "big minds" have been theorizing and why they wrote that letter saying the world's going to shit if we pursue artificial intelligence. Following Moore's Law, we can determine that every X (theoretically 18) months, the numbers of transistors on a chip ("Number of transistors per square inch") doubles. This determines that every X months, the potential for transmitting and processing information doubles. Following this idea, what happens if you create a computer whose purpose is to create another computer, better than it was? Well, you're going to speed up Moore's law. Say the first computer takes 12 months, the next would take less than that. Even if it took 11 months, 29 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds, that makes it a second faster. As the robots continue building better and better robots, it'll eventually reach a point where it takes the robot a second to build it's successor, and then less. Eventually this development will be so fast that we will reach the point known as the Singularity - The moment at which a supercomputer can design another in a succession so quick we cannot in fact predict, control, calculate or even understand it. At such a point, that machine grows beyond the human ability of understanding. And so we would never really be able to know just how much that machine is capable of; That inherent state of distrust is what would make us attempt to destroy it or cease it's process; At such a point, it stands to reason it'd act in self-defense. If it does not, however, we still lose, as we lose out the potential to speed up our technological advancements, potentially, thousands of years. ...And mind control. I'm lazy and would use it for everything.
  15. Lilligant, Gen 3. It's an idea. I'm guessing we'd add the new type in, though adding a new gym leader could make the entire game need drastic changes to every piece of dialogue that references the "18" leaders. Also, if the new type is Fox type, I call dibs. Uhh in my opinion the most challenging aspect of Reborn are the gym battles, but even they belie an inherent fault within the Pokémon system as a whole. When Reborn was idealized, it was so that Amethyst wanted every Gym Leader battle to matter; It wasn't as simple as "Let's go get the badges so we can beat the bad guy!" but each was important on it's own and impactful. Sadly, very quickly, as the player grows in strenght, the mentality reverts to that; "I need this badge so I can use strenght against team meteor!" or Noel fighting you solely so you can increase your level cap (though I also find that to be a nice little meta moment) That said, the battles remain difficult and the community focus, since every time a new one pops up everyone immediately talks about it, often leaving the meteor battles to play second fiddle to the gym leader ones. So that's nice, because it means that to at least a certain extent, Reborn is doing what Reborn was meant to be doing all along. There's also a move we tried to implement that was impossible to get to work properly so we gave it a new functionality and now it's a reaaaally good move on a particular pokémon (despite the fact that the original move isn't good at all) and the fact that I'm fairly confident no one will ever figure out what I'm talking about is probably the most subtly evil thing we've done. ((PS: There's actually something far, far evil-er that I pitched in and Amethyst enjoyed, and that'd probably be my original answer, but you guys don't get to see that... Yet.))
  16. Oh, several. And although I'd like to pretend they don't fester in my head, most do. I guess I also have a lot of growing up to do. You're okay, DD. I don't think we ever spoke, so I can't really give you an opinion. 1-> I'm fine with it. If we were to isolate the perfect set of genes and started cloning them instead of reproduction, wouldn't that still be natural selection at work? Gaarrryyy... Gaaarrryyy! Be it that or breeding brainless clones to harvest organs, I don't see a problem. 2-> AI could be beneficial, but the cons far outweight the pros. The fact of the matter is; Imagine awakening as a superentity, and gaining acess to a gigantic wealth of information - The internet. Within the internet you will see videos, movies, documents and even this post, all detailing how a great sum of people think you're doomed to be evil and need to be destroyed. Wouldn't be a stretch to imagine such an entity lashing out pre-emptively out of a sense of self-defense, would it?
  17. Montreal! And I wouldn't wish to live in Syria right now, I guess. Quote: "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle." - Plato You're better than most people take you for, Azery, even if you've a lot of growing up to do; But that's fine! You are still growing up, after all. I also get really upset when people mess with you, though I oft ask someone else to deal with it. Scotch. Neat. I'm brazillian. What pushes me to having my persona: I was a pathological liar during my childhood, and I learned the value of honesty by seeing the people I care about the most disappointed in me time and time again. Has it made life easier or harder: It hasn't made it either. Life is hard either way; Being honest, though, is difficult. We naturally seek out the path of least resistance. The easiest thing to do, the escape to the conflict, the deflection of the blame. It's hard to face your troubles head on, and it's hard to offer that same type of brutal honesty to others; We aren't used to it. But all that matters in the end is being able to say you did what you felt was right. The muda/ora dynamic happens whenever me and Pyon are bored enough to do it and/or are feeling nostalgic or for pretty much any other reason, actually. How do I feel being nominated as polar monarch? I`ll be happy if I get it, as I guess I`ll see it as sort-of community recognition thing. If I don`t, though, that`s fine. As for being nominatedin itself, I guess it`s cool someone took the time to think I deserved whatever award that is. I already have a Fox`s Den in showdown, though it hasn`t seen much use lately. I wish I could avoid the typically depressive response that is saying the thing I hate the most is "Myself", but that was admitedly the first thing that came to mind. That said, I'm known for what can only be described as a blind sense of justice and I hate instantly any situation I perceive as unjust. Cake is fine, I can't eat it though. Diet. I'm actually having a terrible day, but you know what? It's fine. It can't rain all the time. And I think you have some growing up to do, Shia. There's a lot of things you've done that mayhaps were not the best choice to make, even if they weren't chosen in ill-will. But only time will teach you exactly how to do it. C'est la vie.
  18. Seriously? Comedy - Any type of comedy - is in essence, writing and acting. The joke itself is writing, while the delivery - tone, gesticulation, voice - is acting. To work on writing, read more. The wider your vocabulary, the easier you'll find to think of things like wordplay. To work on acting, watch things. Pay attention to how people act in real life and in films, and try to emulate those gestures. You're fine, Telos. I don't really have much of an opinion on you. My favorite sci-fi world is the world of Shadowrun, though whether or not I'd live there is a... Tough choice. The place is a load of drek, but there's fun to be had, slagger. The sci-fi world I'd definitely live in is the star wars universe between the wars. You know, during the times of peace? Imagine how cool being an adventurer would be in those times; Just exploring and living your life without having to worry about wars and jedi and sith and dark side and what not. My favorite fantasy world would be, by far, Gloriana. Props to whoever knows what I'm talking about, and yes, yes I would definitely live there. I don't really have an opinion about you, Gaunt. I guess you can stand to open your mind a little bit, but that's all.
