[IC] Symphony of the Stars

Blackseed immediately moves onto the keypad. Eyes tracing the places where the blood dripped, she clicks the communicator on her ear and a HUD pops up. "Miles, I'm sending you an image. Try to trace me a pattern in the blood smears to calculate the keypad combination code." Afterwards, she turns to Kyle. "Commander, we'll have this open soon. Should I go ahead, or would you rather? Someone should stay behind and make sure she's stable enough to talk." She nods towards the wounded pirate. -
Story: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19931 Literally just started writing whatever came to mind and this happened. Criticize away!

Feedback: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19932 She stared deep into the burning embers flickering brightly, creating a stark contrast with the starless night sky they shone against. She didn’t notice the heavy sigh that escaped her lips when she heaved herself upwards, hand instinctively grabbing onto the rusted iron rod that rested on the ruined wall she sat against not seconds ago. It was almost time… Her verdant green eyes focused on the embers a last time, shining almost as bright as the coals themselves. She pulled the hood off of her head, revealing the long dark locks matted against her forehead. The time for the luxuries of constant showers had been long past. The clothes underneath her robes were all stained with sweat, blood and grime. She was stomping down the last of the once-campfire, lost in thought, when she first heard the sounds. Scrambling all around her, the noise of tiny feet scampering all around the ruins she took refuge in. She knew she was surrounded. The first glimpse of a dark shadow was caught precisely as it moved past the entrance of a destroyed building, the words “Commerce Center Atlas” rested above it in stainless steel. The image burned into her mind for some reason. She felt the ground throbbing at her feet as if she could feel the ruins’ heartbeat echoing with her own, muscles tensing up as the creatures kept moving around her, keeping her on her toes. Even against blinding darkness, she could feel her senses sharpening. Her eyes adjusted, her body surged with newfound energy and adrenaline pumped through her veins. She still quietly acknowledged the hope that they would simply move past her and leave her be. When the first leaped through the shadows towards her, she knew it wouldn’t be the case. She brought the iron heavy and hard in a full swing, hitting the creature across its marble-like face. She felt its skin crack and crumble, the vibrations of her weapon carrying with it the full extent of the blow she had just delivered. The creature fell on the rotten wooden boards beside her with a large thud, dark-blue lifeblood draining from its cracked features as it squirmed against itself. She looked almost pitifully at the creature, a mouse-like being with skin smooth and black as stone. Its legs ended in sharp stone talons which currently flailed uselessly in the ground as the creature moved to get up, while its mouth opened and closed to blackened fangs as the creature wailed silently in pain. The Bahal had mouths, but they had ended in smooth black stone. When they tore flesh they simply dropped it where they stood, and they could not produce sound. Before it could stand to move again, she quickly delivered another blow to its head, and this time the creature laying motionless. The sounds around her ceased - The others retreated, as they always attempted to hunt only easy prey - but she knew they had not given up. Fishing the small flask out of her pocket, she took a long swig, features grimacing as the alcohol burnt its way down her throat, and then dampened a torn piece of cloth that lay nearby, wrapping it around a piece of rotten wood and setting it alight with her lighter. She held the impromptu torch in one hand and her rusted weapon in the other, taking in how well her situation reflected her. Just as the things in her hands, she was worn, rotten, rusted, broken down. But much like the things in her hands, she still was. And one last scampering sound let her know that she was certainly in need to move.

"This base is either already under attack, or it has been recently. Millenium also communicated to me two casualties that were not of our doing in the other side. I suggest we change our approach to locate and debrief survivors so we can understand what's going on." She speaks matter-of-fact to Kyle, but there is still a tone of subordination to her voice; She isn't about to talk down her field commander. Pressing into her comlink, she relays the information to Millenium: "Miles, we're changing our objectives. Something is going on here. Try to find a survivor, and question them to figure out what's happening, then inform me. We're moving on through our side, I see some stairs down." She then examines the body, as to figure out if there is any type of marking or identification she could later use to discover what band of pirates - if one at all - this man belonged to. After that's done, she picks his weapon off the floor "I'll carry it. If I can't use it, I can still keep it safe. Do you mind taking point?" She nods towards the staircase. "I'll follow your lead." -
Can anyone decode this message?
Kurotsune replied to A mysterious Plantpurr's topic in General Discussion
Assuming "XcQ" is an encryption key, the message is still impossible to decode, as part of it is missing. -
You might've thought I forgot about this but I didn't goddamn it! I'll be hosting a games tomorrow whenever there's a willing number of at least 5 participants. Blackseed's muscles immediately tensed, sweat making them glisten in the dim light, and she lunged herself upwards. Grabbing onto the box she'd been using for cover, the woman silently climbed atop it, and immediately jumped towards another, closer to her target, in a second quiet motion. Before the Yousei would have the chance to notice her or react, Blackseed would pounce, claws pointed forward, and tackle him to the ground. Should she be able to do it, all ten of her claws would attempt to dig into the creature's head, to destroy the brain as soon as possible and render him, at least, incapable of combat or of calling for backup. Should this succeed, she'd then stand up and press her comlink on her right ear, speaking to Millenium. "One contact. Fire Yousei. Was alive. Isn't anymore. Carrying some sort of unidentified weaponry." As she turned to speak to Kyle, shots began to ring out, loudly, from the other side of the cave. Blackseed smiled. "Seems they're good for distraction, at least." -
He got my card wrong. It was a 1.25 of hearts.

"Flame yousei. They're arrogant and honorbound enough that even if startled, 'tis unlikely he'd give up a fight." Blackseed speaks matter-of-factly, analyzing the pirate's features coldly. "That said, ideally we'd not have any unwanted noise this side of the cave. I'm counting the others will make enough. Is your weapon silenced? Can you take him from afar? If not, then let me do it; I can take him down without giving him the chance to call for backup." -

Does Reborn use v gen or vi gen breeding mechanics?
Kurotsune replied to saltwater's topic in Reborn City
I'd assume someone with a "Developer" member title would be exempt from such accusations, alas, I'd be wrong. As previously mentioned, no, that's not an in-game team. It's something I set up nearly a year ago, then disabled signatures, and completely forgot to ever remove. So thanks for that. What I'm saying is that in my personal opinion, regressing to previous episodes is cheating. It disregards all effort we've put into balancing and updating the game to the latest version and discards those changes in favor of getting stronger pokémon who the latter episodes were probably not balanced towards. It can also break your game, and something of a silent agreement between the development/support teams is that games that used previous episodes or cheats are not assisted. Individual opinion may vary and some may be willing to offer support, but my (and most of ours) general opinion is that while you're free to do it, you're effectively giving up your warranty. Does that mean you shouldn't do it? No. By all means, go for it. If that's how you have fun with the game, you're welcome to do it. My intention is not really to regulate how you play. I am, however, entitled to my opinion - And believe that you should be made aware of the full implications of what the action entails. As a more personal suggestion, I'd counsel taking care with your responses. That type of backlash can quickly cause commentary to devolve into bickering, and that's really just going to cause you headaches more than anyone. And all that said, the question of whether reborn uses gen V or VI mechanics has been answered. It may be best to close the thread before it devolves (further) into a discussion on the moralities of cheating. I realize I am just as at fault for that, but my advice stands. -

Blackseed simply shook her head as the others left. "I've no interest in risking my life or my mission on a fool's notion. Miles, go with the others on the right path. I'll take the left one. Worst case scenario, we only suffer one casualty." With that said, the former PANTHER starts to pace calmly through the left path, her feline eyes peering through the darkness of the cave with ease .She was confident, at least, that if something springed up on her, she'd see it coming. If she did meet the pirates, that was better for her. The others were noisy, clunky, loud. She'd do much better on her own, being able to move through the shadows at her own pace without having to worry about their constant fumbling about. If she did meet a dead end or some sort of trap, then she was also confident on her ability to escape it should she not have to worry about anyone else losing their life. Either way, she did trust Millenium, and knew that if all else failed, at least he could finish this mock-mission, and their own mission after it. -

Regardless when you can do it, it'd be appreciated if you played the game following it's rules instead of trying to cheat through them; Regardless, if you search enough, you'll find the episodes yourself. -

"Easily angered, aren'tcha?" Blackseed coos. "What a cute little kitten." The woman continues examining Heavensea with a calculated smile, peering into the woman's eyes - Her tone is like that of someone trying to conceal a smile. When the androids enter, Blackseed returns to being silent, not responding to whatever it was Heavensea would do in reaction to her. Instead, she glances to Millenium, inquisitively. Blackseed touches the earring attached to her left earlobe and starts speaking normally - The others would realize that no sound would come out of her mouth, however. Millenium would hear the sound from his own communication channel instead; "You're going in power armor? I didn't think you'd feel the need; I'm not taking mine. The rocket launcher might be overdoing it, though, Miles." She smiles at her companion, raising her eyebrows slightly at the weapon. -

Blackseed nonchalantly moves inside the dropship, carrying nothing within her person along. "Miles, I assume you're also good to go?" she mentions to the bot, tapping him in the shoulder as she walks past. "Do we get to choose different landing spots?" she quips at the Commander, peering straight into his eyes as she asks. Her voice is monotone, almost bored. After his answer - whatever it was - she walks inside the ship and sits directly opposite of the other Michi, crossing her legs and her arms as she does so. She appraises the wannabe princess with a quiet gaze, her eyes resting at her weapon. After she eyes the ancient-looking weapon for a moment, she releases a small scoff and a condescending smirk, eyes locking with the woman's, shifting her arms just enough so the flickering light of the dropship would reflect enough out of the metallic edges that adorned her fingertips. Should the woman notice, she'd also realize Blackseed to have tightened the muscles on her left forearm, causing the tattoo of a jet-black panther's head that rested there bulge somewhat, giving it an odd contour of ragged muscle and salient veins. -
[OOC/Sign Ups] ~Symphony of the Stars

Given that they're highly customizable, clearly, I doubt it's the only one of it's kind. Also, if anyone is curious that is basically Blackseed saying "Hi, I'm better than you." -

"Roger that, Miles." the woman's hand releases the grip on the singular earring nestling in her left earlobe, letting her hand slack to her side. All systems nominal, it seems. BLACK FOX was ready for combat. She also took the liberty of snooping around and quickly checking out the other mechs; She didn't fiddle with any of them, instead just peering about spotting what weaponry they had, taking wild guesses at their specializations, and most importantly, looking for particularly obvious weakspots. After taking her set of mental notes, she returned to her mech until Millenium's message arrived. Blackseed wiped her hand clear of the grime that came with mech's repair, and steadied herself to wait for everyone's approach, giving one last push into a final panel on the ANGEL's backside, making the power armor dispensor compartment reel back into the ship with a satisfying mechanical whirr. -
Why is everyone so hyped about one new pokémon when you can reasonably expect like 100 more in a year or so?
-
And I thusly win at life. Also, Mael.

No one expects the Kurotsune. I also predict that I am going to post next.

Because I always listen to whatever reflects my emotional state at the time

In a way, they don't. If we are to say that you "deserve" the consequences of any choice you make, then someone who objects to fight knowing it'll lead to oppression "deserves" oppression as they willingly did nothing to try to stop it.
