  1. The first team is kind of odd. I like the pokemon choices, but some of them have better moves that they could be using. Special Gallade doesn't work very well in general. You could replace shadow ball and thunderbolt with knock off and thunder punch to have the same desired effect, without using a weird nature to accommodate for being mixed. I don't know about Hidden Power Psychic Abomasnow. Ive never tried it, but it sounds a little odd. I'd probably give it a physical ice STAB that hits hard, or at least Ice Shard in its place. Nidoqueen really likes Sheer Force/Life Orb combo with a special set, because it lets it hit hard while keeping its bulk intact. I usually go with Earth Power/Sludge Wave/Ice Beam/(Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, HP Something). Special Mega Scizor, I have no idea about. Theoretically, it can work. But at least toss Bullet Punch on and replace Bug Buzz with Silver Wind since SW is boosted by Tech and Scizor loves its priority. Greninja will work as anything, really. Second team looks great, but I'd reconsider rain dance on Arceus since it doesnt really help your team at all and hurts your fire types.
  2. http://prntscr.com/bfyhx5 Since I finished my Mono Dark run ages ago, I figured why not do a mono-flying. Don't know a team yet outside of Farfetch'd and Siglyph. (This is the only flying starter)

Drifloon/blim with destiny bond can be very useful for those tougher battles. I'd recommend pelipper as well if only for mist so you can have some field control when needed.

Had someone get me a Skarmory as a starter, already. Thanks though!

  3. Welcome to Reborn! It's been a long time since I've done anything with Bionicle, but I always thought they were pretty cool. I still have a few, somewhere, I think. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay.
  4. Welcome to Reborn! The game is really nice for picking out things you've never used before. Ralts is one of my favorites because it can be so versatile.I personally like it as Best Evolution Gallade, but of course, that's up to you. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay.

  6. Bethesda is on for E3 right now. Elder Scrolls VI please?

It's too bad we didn't get TES6, but Skyrim Remastered is at least going to be fun. ESPECIALLY WITH MODS!!! I'm just hoping there's still the fortify restoration exploit...

  7. Yes, only gen 3 and after can be transferred up.
  8. I really wish Parasect was better than it is. It was one of the only things that could reliably take out Mewtwo in gen 1, and now it's sitting at the bottom of PU. I really like the idea behind it too, with the mushroom actually being in control.

    1. Spineblade

      Spineblade

They brought up the mushroom thing in PSMD. That was kind of creepy...

  9. Welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay.
  10. Welcome! I used to do some shiny hunting myself, sometimes. I think the last one I got was a Latios in Alpha Sapphire. Also, fenniken is one of my favorite gen 6 pokes. It's just really cute. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay.
  11. Some moves, such as ice beam, flamethrower and thunderbolt were only available from tutor in generation 2. Due to how it's impossible to transfer this up to generation 6, would those moves be allowed? I'd imagine not, but I figured I would ask.
  12. Good old Skyrim AI. Lvl 10 mage defeats a Dwarven Centurion with only ice spike....because it didn't know how to open doors.

So, the Skyrim AI is like the aliens from Signs?

Centurions are stupid, aren't they? Shows how much intelligence the dwarves put into their creations. XD

  13. Steel, Ice and Dragon. The moment I saw Skarmory, I knew steel would be a really cool type. Hasn't let me down much *cough* Wormdam Trash *cough* yet aesthetically and in gameplay. I have a bit of a weird relationship with ice. Ive liked Ice in pretty much every game where it's available for use. Currently running a Cryomancer (Fancy Ice Mage) in modded Skyrim and having a blast. Glaceon is also one of my favorite pokemon, yet I never really liked a lot of the others with the typing. It's not a very good type competitively either. So what changed? I began mono-typing it. Arguably, ice is the worst type for mono-typing, but that's what makes it great imo. It feels really good to win with a team that others don't care for or look down upon. It also has some really nice aesthetics to it like Froslass and the aforementioned Glaceon. *Looks at name* Dragons are by far my favorite mythical creatures, and Ive liked them for as long as I can remember. Oddly enough, I don't really tend to use dragon types in battle, but they're some of my favorites design-wise. They also usually have strong connections to the lore of the pokemon world, which I like following to maybe see what the world was like in ages past.
  14. >Adds more mods to Skyrim, and suddenly it's nearly three AM.

  15. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It hits really hard in the feels and ties everything together really nicely for KH2 to pick up on. Ill have to second the Mystery Dungeon games, especially Explorers of Sky. (And Explorers of Sky's Special Episodes. Igglybuff's and the final one especially).
  16. https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?48804-Pokemon-XG-NeXt-Gen&p=216076#post216076 Someone made a complete Gale of Darkness hack. My body is ready.

Wait is it actually finished now?! I've been following this for a while now but I haven't checked on it in a while.

  17. http://prntscr.com/bcdqwe And so it ends. Tactics ranking is based on how fast you play. My turn count was in the 700s so....not fast. Lol
  18. Playing through FE4 again reminded me how much I love that game. It's so grand in scale (Big maps that all connect to the other maps physically help with this), the world building is phenomenal and it hits you hard in the feels at some points.

  19. School is finally out for the year. Got mostly A's and an 89 in Trig. (Rip so close)

  20. http://prntscr.com/bbny1h Cedsy? Sometimes I feel like BookOfHolsety enjoys our suffering. (Seriously, whoever changed Sety's name to Ced over at Nintendo needs a paycut)

Actually it seems like the Crusader's name remained Sety. Also, not gonna like, Ulster is kinda a better name and way easier on the eyes.

I mean looking at it now, his old name was literally a poop joke. Scat, ha ha.

  21. Welcome! Gallade (Especially mega. Got that sick cape) and Glaceon are two of my favorites as well, and purple is also my favorite color. Hope you enjoy your stay!
  22. Week 2 Vs the Ravenholts: I used a bit of a strange, mono-rock, Trick Room team designed by me (With a bit of input from Xiri). Rock gets a lot of good sweepers for Trick Room, such as Aggron and Rampardos in the lower tiers, but not necessarily a lot of Trick Room setters. Are You Real? (Carbink) @ Life Orb Ability: Clear Body Shiny: Yes EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Trick Room - Sandstorm - Magic Coat - Explosion My thoughts on this was that I needed a Trick Room setter immune to Taunt. Taunt is probably the biggest shutdown of Trick Room in the game, and I knew that Prankster Liepard or Murkrow were very real possibilities that the Ravenholts had access to. Oblivious is probably the best way to avoid being taunted, but the only thing with that I could use was slowpoke. I didn't want to give up the power life orb offered the sweepers for eviolite just for slowpoke, so I gave up on it. Then I realized that Magic Coat not only reflects Taunt, but also things like hazards, with +4 Priority. This didn't really come into play during my battle with Cronos, but I attempted it anyways when I saw the Murkrow he had at the beginning. Sandstorm was really there because I watched Cobalt and Inno's battle. Cobalt was running a snow cloak hail team, which showed me that weather teams were also a possibility for the Ravenholts. Cronos himself tried to set up Sunny Day on me, so the Sandstorm definitely came in handy. Other benefits were that it did minor damage to the other team and none to mine, and increased the special defense of the entire team because of the Mono-Rock element (Basically a Light Screen, which I actually had in the slot originally). Explosion allows for a bit of damage and a free switch in to a sweeper after setting up Trick Room. This set can also be used on Lunatone and Solrock. Lunatone was a part of the team as well, as a second Trick Roomer. The only difference was that the EVs were put in Defense instead of Special Defense, and Explosion was swapped with Stealth Rock.
  23. http://pastebin.com/hhafb92W I have won, for Atlantis! Due to a glitch with the away tag, however, the replay couldn't be saved. This is a pastebin of the battle and is the best we can get. If you wonder why it's RU and not NU, ladder/Showdown Main says Aggron is NU (it is), while Reborn says its RU which is incorrect.

Paired him with Tiltyu. So gen 2s difficulty is pretty much gone as well. (With the added bonus of having a mounted user. <3 Arthur)

      YinYang9705

I'd have paired him up with Ferry myself(<3 Forsetti Sety) but giving Fosetti to a mounted mage is good considering FE4 has some of the biggest maps in the series.

I usually do. It is the "canon" choice, according to fe5. As it turns out Gen 2 Lewyn gets a lot of development with Arthur and Tinny as his kids, so I decided to try it out.

  24. I really like this idea. There hasn't been anything quite like it yet in Pokemon fangames. Anyways, for tutorials that might help, I highly recommend Atomic Reactor's How to Make a Pokemon Game series. I learned a lot of what I know from it. Also, make sure to test the teams for important battles (leaders, higher ups, any battle that's supposed to be difficult, really) well. The AI in Pokemon Essentials isn't always the most intelligent when it comes to competitive sets. I know you said you weren't recruiting, but if you don't understand something or can't get something to work, feel free to pm me and Ill answer what I can.
