  1. Choice Scarf Rotom was there in Jericho's team as well. The reason is none other than... Linoone. They wanted a hard counter to it. Anyway, due to foreseen lack of internet connection, I'll be back for Week10 so I just wanted to wish my comrades the best of luck, since our opponents keep abusing theirs to cope with our awesomeness.
  2. Won against Jericho. NU is weird but fun. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-nu-63731 Good luck to the knights of Avalon for their future games.
  3. To be fair, regular Zam got a +10 that generation so they thought instead of giving it a useless +10 to Atk,they could give it +90 and finish there.
  4. Reviving this thread to make the Fan Club great again!!! Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you..... *drums in the background* Mega Granbull Type: Fairy Ability: Rattled HP: 90 Atk: 120 --> 150 (+30) Def: 75 --> 107 (+32) SpA: 60 --> 60 (+0) SpD: 60 --> 88 (+28) Spe: 45 --> 55 (+10) This chap represents a royal beatdown to the foes that dare enter its path, especially when they decide to use a move its typing resists. With an Intimidate in its base form and acceptable defenses, it can function as an early game physical tank, which can mega evolve and seize any opportunity against U-turn and Knock off to increase its speed, while taking little to no damage from those attacks. It's a creation meant to punish the meta for spamming such moves, and retaliate with a huge 150 Atk stat and powerful moves in its arsenal like Play Rough, Close Combat, Crunch, the elemental Punches and Fangs, Stone Miss, Earthquake and more devastating moves. If you like you can keep a support set, as moves like T-wave and Heal Bell are always welcome. Mega Granbull fits in balanced and offensive teams, and is a nice option if you need a strong physical mega that can take a punch or two, and stop the spam of common moves your team may have problems with. It can appreciate wish support as well us teammates that can stop scald spam. Other than that, go out there, use it and wreck shit up!
  5. Explain the Beheeyem line, without mentioning how the aliens look like contraceptives.
  6. They did all the necessary work to implement all pokemon in 3D. As the game progresses, the older 3D models will be revamped and improved. I suppose we will notice the first changes in Gen7. I don't want Snorlax or Haunter to remain derpy and lifeless.
  7. I'll be waiting for Dark Souls GO

  8. The ear pattern is actually a tiara, but turning a stuffed bear into a real one would make a nice reference to Pinoccio, which is a good move in my book.
  9. So many new abilities, yet so little interesting info...
  10. Went to McDonalds. Receipt said "Order 66". I just had to obey.

  11. My sweet summer child, you thought Sheer Force + Life Orb only gives a 60% power boost? Hahaha It's actually BETTER. 1.3X1.3=1.69 => ~70% Boost. Feel free to abuse that shit all you want. If you had caught a Tauros while you were at it, it also could abuse the same mechanic, while being faster than Druddigon, but I suppose that works as well.
  12. TFW M-Zam traces No Guard and you can fire Focus Blasts all day

Trace is a beautiful ability isn't it?

  13. Overall this looks like an amazing team, and features certain sets I've never seen before, like the Keldeo one, and the Klefki (if I hadn't seen you use it in Nations already). Before getting into the team, how come you chose Alakazam as your mega? Usually regular LO Zam has about the same damage output as the Mega (even if the mega is nearly unstoppable at times). I just have a question. Since you run SD on your Lando-T why not have it carry Rock Slide instead of Stone Edge to be more reliable? I understand that some levitate users like Latios don't get as much damage, but you have better checks to them anyway.
  14. If it's OU, NU or Monotype, I'll join. Otherwise, I'd rather not participate this week.
  15. That does not seem to happen on purpose. We had 3 fire/fighting in a row which were all bipedal due to their subtype, and then a mage that walks on all 4 does not really make sense, does it? A tiger fills the quota for fire starters, and a quadripedal one would be more fitting if the secondary typing ended up Dark or Steel, as the sulfur symbol on its head hints towards those types. The reason these 'leaks' appear fake is the Fire/Fighting fiasco. GameFreak wouldn't make the same mistake and launch designs that are completely opposite of this supposed typing. Also, the Archer is good as a theory for Rowlet's evolution, yet still not confirmed. I suppose since anyone expects it to get Gale Wings or another awesome ability to back up its limiting typing in Grass/Flying, this route seems thematically fitting. If they decide to continue the MMORPG theme, the Grass starter could be the rogue/archer, the Fire starter could be the necromancer and the Water starter could be the healer/guardian. I don't really care about Popplio unless he becomes part Fighting or part Fairy.
  16. I agree with most of these, but Qwilfish is not bad. It has a support role with Intimidate and Hazards, so even if it cannot provide much offensively, it can be placed in a team. The same cannot be said about Lumineon, Luvdisk or Baskulin (which you only see as banded in randoms).
  17. Aparently, teaching Knock Off to a Donphan is a LOT of work.

      Step 1: Go to play.pokemonshowdown.com/teambuilder

Step 2: Add a Donphan to your team

Step 3: Give it Knock Off

  18. They wouldn't introduce a new mechanic that drastically changes the whole metagame, only to drop it in the next generation. You can be 100% sure more mega evolutions will be introduced, but since we're just learning about the new pokemon of the region, they are not the main focus. Besides, they need to keep this information hidden for the announcements just before the game release to maximize hype (and sales). It's nice to introduce new abilities, but I'm worried they will overdo it, and generally weak stuff will be forced to never make use of their unique characteristics out of fear of breaking their corresponding tiers.
  19. Is Coke okay? Btw nice Q&A . I'm hoping for a reminder next episode on what pokemon you have left, what you've caught, and what's your general standing so far. Also, mind giving Mako some vacation? He does not look very good. Also, do you know where turtleboi gets his cocaine? I might need some... for research purposes.
  20. As soon as they get released, all this information will be made public. There are only two real issues: Spriting. This will just be time consuming. The community begins a spriting project, while Ame tries to find potent spriters and do the job herself to the extend of her capabilities and available time. Implementation. With over 800 pokemon, it will be hard to re-imagine the whole map in terms of pokemon distribution, and this will take some time to plan ahead. Even when the first pokemon enter the game, there will be changes between episodes to optimize availability without breaking the game. Some new mons that have already been revealed have interesting abilities, of which we have no idea what their impact on the competitive scene will be. Until we have a clear image of the metagame, there will either be constant changes or no implementation at all. I wouldn't like the second choice as much, but it may be necessary. I would cut it to 1 year, perhaps 1 and a half before gen7 becomes part of Reborn. Personally I doubt the game will be finished by then, but even if it is, it will feel incomplete without the most recent additions from canon games. Edit1: We all know Reborn City is getting a makeover. This probably means that the alleyways are going to be 'redecorated'. Does this also mean that the family of Plusle and Minun in Obsidia will have to leave? Is Adrienn issuing an eviction order to innocent rodents?
  21. Things like Condoom have been haunting my dreams for months now.
  22. Is this still limited to gen1?
  23. I don't get why so much passion in the comments, censored cursing and anger are parts of this answer-rage compilation. Jericho is more than competent in OU, and aparently wanted to try something crazy for once. Sure, Natural Gift is far from ideal, but the challenge here is to make it work with the proper team-mates. Heck, I've found ways to use it in Talonflame and the silly gimmick managed to work just fine. Unless you just wait for me to post a comment so you can bring more calcs in, you could join in on the effort to find good ways to implement unusual tactics into the game.
  24. Just in case anyone didn't know, event pokemon have egg moves and some of them are awesome.

whoa, whoa, wait... what the hell? I've NEVER gotten an Event Mon that had any Egg Moves on it... -_-
