I've started a topic for it in Fan Club, if you wanna check out the riveting story thus far.

  2. SilverJakler here! You may know me as the Trivia Time guy, y'know, the guy that posts... trivia... at certain times. Well I decided to replay my favorite Generation, Gen V, but add a little kick to it. So I thought, wynaut Nuzlocke it? Now, here are the rules that I'll be rolling with: 1. The first Pokemon encountered in any area is the only thing you can catch in that area. 2. If a Pokemon faints, it's DED and must be put in the PC "Graveyard". Now, those are the standard rules of the Nuzlocke, but on to the others that aren't so standard. 3. Before I pick my starter, I must first check the last number on my Trainer ID Card. If it's 1-3, then I pick the Grass Starter (Snivy). If it's 4-6, then I pick the Fire Starter (Tepig). And finally if it's 7-9, I pick the Water Starter (Oshawott). 4. Dupes Clause: If the first Pokemon I find in the area is the same as a Pokemon I already had or had, I can't catch it. This also means I have 2 more chances to catch something in that area. If those 2 chances are used up and I STILL haven't found something different in that area, well sucks for me. No Pokemon in that area. 5. Nicknames, gotta have em. And that's pretty much it. I'll have an update once I get some miles on this. HERE WE GO. UPDATE: The Nuzlocke is off to a pretty good start! Prof. Juniper goes through all that that intro business and stuff. Yadda yadda yadda, Cheren and Bianca want starters. But wait, I get first pick. Why? CUZ I HAVE IDEALS, BITCHES. So, as per rule number 3, I check my ID Number's last digit. Aaand it's 3, which means Snivy is my starter. After I destroy Cheren and Bianca's puny Pokemon, turns out my Snivy doesn't know how to control its power, so my room gets rekt. My Mom is all unconcerned about it and says "I got this." So we leave and go to the Professor's lab, and I dub my Snivy "Sazzle the Usurper". Then my mom shows up and gives us maps so our sorry asses don't get lost. "ty mom" I said. "np" she says back. Me and the others take our first step onto Route 1 together and watch the Professor catch some rat thing and continue on our way. Now for the best part: catching our second member of Team Ideals. We run into... A Male Lilipup! He puts up a good fight, but alas, he sees our cause is a worthy one and joins our squad. I give him the name of "Lomo the Beastmaster". Then that catching contest Bianca comes up with amounts to nothing as always, especially since I can't catch anything else on that Route... ANYWAYS, we check on the Pokemon Center, then some weird, totally not maniacal guy makes a speech about liberating Pokemon or some shit. He leaves with his ginger cronies in tow. Me and Cheren are like "Psshaaaw, what a scrub. He probably has less than 1000 points on Showdown's OU." Some cool guy shows up and says "u wot m8" then battles me. The green haired guy (who obviously doesn't have aaanything to do with the speech scrub) sends out a Purrloin, and I send out Lomo. The classic battle of Cat vs Dog. Feline vs Canine. Man's Best Friend vs Man's Other Friend. Purrloin gets the first hit, with Scratch. Lomo don't like that too much. So he Tackles the poor cat and sends it flying through a window of a nearby apartment complex. GG, cool guy. GG. We heal up and proceed to the next Route, when my mom calls me, but it turns out... SHE WAS THERE ALL ALONG. She gives me some Running Shoes, good thing too, my feet were starting to get cramped in these Speed Walk Shoes. So she goes and we face the scariest mofo of all time. A Patrat. But not just any Patrat. This guy has battle scars from all of his previous victims. This guy runs Route 2 with an iron fist. Sazzle wasn't enough to bring him low enough, and when the Patrat was about to go for the killing blow, who else would save him but Lomo. He knocked Sazzle out of the way and took the hit like it was nothing. The dog and rat were locked in combat for what seemed like ages, until finally the mighty gang boss was low enough for me to catch him. And so I did. I dubbed this force of nature "Paintrain the Deathbringer". We asserted our dominance over the novice trainers along the rest of the route and made it to Striaton City without a hitch. And that's where we end this journey thus far.
  3. Trivia Time: Although Muk's body is extremely poisonous (duh), it doesn't seem to hurt Ash or Professor Oak when it hugs them. It may be able to control its toxins, much like how Rapidash can control whether its flames burn its riders, or when Croagunk uses Poison Jab to stop Brock's... shenanigans.

    1. SilverJakler

      SilverJakler

Also Muk is tied for the shortest English name of all Pokemon, along with Mew at three letters.

    2. zimvader42

      zimvader42

mmmmmmmuk. I always enjoyed saying that name, and the way they said it on the anime.

  4. Congrats DarkLight! Also, I have no idea which route to have Seth go to, I got some ideas for both situations.
  5. Just as he thought, Travis was apprehended by the police. He'd been in prison before, but for less... important reasons. After the whole trying-to-escape-the-pub-then-getting-shot-down-by-a-suspiciously-on-point-officer ordeal, he should be thankful that then gave him such a comfy cell, at least comfortable in comparison to the ones in the Living Quarters. They were even so kind as to remove the arrow that had been lodged in his leg and patched him up real nice. Luckily it din't hit anything important, which coupled with the fact he hadn't gotten severely hurt in the bar brawl was nothing short of a god damn parade of miracles. He looked around the prison and saw that two of the other sane people were in the clink with him as well. "So, they caught you guys too, huh?" he said to the others.
  6. Seth still wasn't sure what to say. He was grateful and all, but the whole situation just threw him for a major loop. Candice seemed like she was really on their side, but they still couldn't be too careful. He decided he'd just give her a nod in agreement and not say anything else. He'd might wind up regretting talking, because he wasn't too sure what would come out if he did.
  7. Trivia Time: Dodrio's National Dex Number is the same as its weight in kilograms. Slowpoke and Scyther share this trait, but in pounds. Also, excluding the Pokemon shown in the opening and on Ash's TV, Dodrio was the first Pokemon to actually appear in the flesh in the anime. Also, in their Poikedex entries, Doduo can run faster than Dodrio, even though Dodrio's speed is higher.

      uuhhhh name-trivia here is one:

The german names for Noibat and Noivern are "eF-eM" and "UHaFnir" respectively.

Which makes "eF-eM" the only Pokemon to begin with a lowercase character and continue with a lowercase letter after the '-'

"UHaFnir" is the only Pokemon name with more than one capital letter without using '-'

      'eF-eM' comes from 'frquence modulation'

      'UHaFnir' co...

    4. Cepheus

      Cepheus

'UHaFnir' comes from "UHF" = Ultra High Frquency; and "Fafnir" from northern mythology

  9. "You got it, lead the way my spiky friend!" Seth and Giga started following behind Miki and Raito, hoping the Eevelution was on to something. They're luck seemed to be pretty good at the moment, especially since the Regice turned out to be legit. Maybe this luck hype train would never arrive at the station and just keep on chugging... a nice thought but it wouldn't hold up in the end. He knew it. But it was a nice thought.
  10. Trivia Time: Magnezone and its evolutionary line have eleven total resistances and one immunity, making it and the Honedge line the most resistant Pokemon lines to date. Also, the Magnezone line are the only dual-type Electric Pokemon to be part of a three stage evolution.

Cool Magnezone trivia. Now if the thing only had levitate... it would make justice for the magnetic mon

    4. Cepheus

      Cepheus

Hypa... but then you could go and argue with the moves "Halloween" and "Forest Curse" or "Color change" etc.

Tynamo and evolution line only have levitate as an ability... there is no exception, they don't have any other ability, that makes them NATURALLY immune to ground... 'Moldbreaker' well *breaks* their nature in that regard...

  12. Trivia Time: A few things about Alakazam. First, it has the lowest Performance of all fully evolved Pokemon. Next, in Red and Blue, if an Alakazam is sent out by the opponent and the player's Pokemon has low health, it'll have the same cry as Gastly. Lastly, Alakazam is the only Mega Evolved Pokemon that that's Base Stat Total doesn't increase by exactly 100, instead it increases by 90.

      Nan

Alakazam got a 10 boost to its stats in 6th gen so that's why it didn't get that 100 boost while it mega evolves.

  13. "Uh... was that what I think it was?" Seth was in total shock. A Regice? A fucking Regice of all things? And it wasn't even attacking them!? This was too cool to be true. "I-I think it wants us to follow it, might actually be friendly. Emphasis on might." Seth looked toward the rest of the squad and started following behind the Regice, Gigawatt close behind. He was really excited about meeting a Legendary that didn't seem brainwashed by the miniskirt regime, but he knew they'd have to be careful. For all we know this Regice was leading them to an icy prison so it could steal the rest of their soup and cookies.
  14. I mean, you could try to get a Gen 1 colored Porygon in Episode 14 instead of just getting it from the school. For right now I think you should get that Shinx, could use an Electric Type in the squad.
  15. Welp, turns out I greatly over-estimated how low I was gonna be away tonight. Just had Seth go into the new tunnel, pretty much it.
  16. Seth, now that the tunnel was done and the others were headed for the tunnel, ran over to the entrance of the newly made route around the knocked out Steelix. He met up with the other members that had already entered the tunnel. He peered outside the entrance and shouted, "Let's go people! You may have slowed the collapse down, but it's still gonna happen!"
  17. Um, just a quick note, I won't be here for the rest of the day so I won't be able to follow the sequence. Can you possibly bunny me for the rest of this if it goes any further while I'm not here?
  18. "Move!" Seth yelled to everyone as he rushed behind Nemir and Vis. "Giga, try to keep the place lit with a Flash" Gigawatt blew out its Fire Punch and generated a light from its twin tails. It was brighter than the Fire Punch, but it wouldn't last more than a few minutes. If they were to get out of here alive they'd have to do it now. "Now, help Raito and Vis with Dig!" Gigawatt started breaking more of the rock away to help the two others with the side tunnel. He'd hoped it'd be enough. He looked back at Miki trying to help Pine up, and she asked if there was anything the guy's Skarmory could help. "Have it carry Pine and get him over here as quickly as possible. It's gonna have to drag him if it has no other choice. We cannot lose anyone, not here!"
  19. Trivia Time: Before Generation VI, Poliwag and Ditto had the same cry.

Yup, lots of Pokemon in Gen I shared cries. They also reused the Charizard/Rhyhorn cry for Mega Charizard Y.

      Cepheus

also since Gen.VI Pikachu's cry is the only cry that is actual it's name!

I almost missed today's trivia!! But luckily enough I ended college today just in time to get home and read reborn statuseses.

As always, cool trivia. I'm not a big fan of cries, but my two favs are XL gourgeist's and malamar's. So eeriee...

  20. Gigawatt was trying desperately to keep both the rocks at bay and the his Fire Punch lit. If that fire went out, they'd be in even more trouble. One trip, one blow to his fiery fist and he might not be able to concentrate to get it re-lit before it was too late. Suddenly, a huge boulder started heading start for Giga, too big to dodge. He'd be able to lift it out of the way, and maybe even use it to his advantage, with both arms, but he was still restrained to one. Right before it struck, a huge torrent of water blasted the rock into the wall, breaking it with huge force. Giga and Seth turned to the Swampert named Kyte. "Damn, thanks dude!" said Seth to the Swampert. He turned his attention to the now blind Steelix. He started trying to wrap his head around strategies to take the behemoth down quickly... but its pained roaring was breaking his heart. Is this really what we have to do to stop all this? But there wasn't any time for mercy. It needed to be stopped, here and now. Gigawatt can't use any close range attacks, gotta keep that light lit... wait a sec. He knew what he had to do. It was simple, he didn't want to do it, but it was either the Steelix or them. "Giga... Flamethrower." Gigawatt looked at Seth questioningly, thinking the same thing as him. But he did it, nonetheless. A red hot stream of flames shot out of Gigawatt's mouth straight at the Steelix, Seth hoping that it'd do the trick.
  21. So, Travis has be apprehended. Can I say that they took the arrow out of his leg, cuz I don't really think they'd just leave it in there. Just wanna make sure of the situation before I get things rolling for him.
  22. "Move, people, move!" Seth and Giga started booking it as the Steelix poked its head through the shattered floor, looking as if someone just chipped its armor. He looked back over his shoulder and saw people trying to use attacks to ward and slow the Steelix down, but he knew that one wrong move could very well end their little adventure here. The duo turned and stopped as Seth said, "Guys, be careful what attacks you use! You could bring the whole cave down on top of us, only try to slow its progress, we can't have dozens of moves going on at once!"
  23. Trivia Time: Psyduck requires the most loops out of all the of the non-boss Pokemon to capture in the original Pokemon Ranger, surpassing even Metagross.
