  1. *Obligatory message stating that I don't talk to you enough* With that out of the way, I think you already know where I stand with you so I won't bother going into detail about that. We agree on a lot of things, we also disagree on enough things to make it fun hanging around with you. As much as I miss the days of sitting around a campfire, just one in an amazing group of people, I also think we've come a long way since then and it's been a good progression. I look forward to you "broadening your talking points" as you put it and getting back on that lovely old place called the server. Well, I would if it meant I would see you there anyway, but it doesn't 'cause I'm not gonna be there. Still, it'd be good for you so get back into it. It's been a good two years, a lot of drama, a whole lot more friendship. I wouldn't take it back for anything.
  2. A win vs someone ranked 1547 on the UU ladder? You know it.

  3. Hoi, even though I'm not around much at times you're a cool dude. Pretty sure that's not gonna change. Here's to you mate.
  4. I'd say it depends on when you're EV training. If you don't EV train until after you beat Luna, but then continue from there with a full team of EV trained pokemon then you'll generally be facing off against similarly trained pokemon. For the boss battles anyway, regular trainers tend to just fall over once you EV train some good stuff but regular trainers tend to just fall over anyway so it's not a big loss.
  5. Watch my lectures. It's more a case of "well, I've gotta do it anyway so I may as well grind at the same time" rather than the other way around.
  6. I hit a Charizard with smack down in the fire leader fight and it resisted it. That means field effects aren't working as you intend them to, they're not adding types onto moves, they're completely changing the type of the move.
  7. I've run Mawile a few times so I've got a good amount of experience with it. If you're going non mega then the best set is Play Rough/Iron Head/Fire Fang/Sucker Punch unless Sucker Punch is broken as stated above. Then you probably just want to run with something like Crunch or Ice Fang/Punch. For the mega Play Rough, Fire Fang, and Sucker Punch are great, and Iron Head/Swords Dance/Power Up Punch all fit nicely into the last slot. Edit: Totally forgot to mention that any mega Mawile should be running Intimidate. You get two abilities in one.
  8. Don't mind me, I'm just here to listen to the victory theme. Oh, and good job Tacos.
  9. Baaeow... Beow... Maa...

    1. Cowtao
    2. GotWala

      GotWala

I'm imagining the "Stormtrooper of Sick Spins" with cow spots yelling that, haha.

  10. TIL that Emboar actually has a serviceable special attack stat. The more you know. Anyway looks like a pretty sad start to a nuzlocke indeed, no Snivy master race, no Lillipup master race, no Sewaddle master race. I guess on the bright side you're now guaranteed something good from the Virbank Complex. Honestly though special Emboar might be a good thing. Don't want that Flare Blitz recoil on a nuzlocke. Good luck on the run.
  11. Mine doesn't record my win against Erwin before the shutdown.
  12. Okay where're my bugs at? I've been comparing the info found here with the info found here and I have a few questions. Sewaddle is no longer a shadow pokemon in Goldenwood Forest (it's been replaced by Tympole) so what is the next closest location I could get it at? Also between which two gym leaders does that location fall under? I can't figure out where Venonat is at all. The location guide says it should be in Gearen but I sure as hell can't find it there. Any ideas of where/what time you could find it before this most recent release? Surskit is listed as obtainable before Keta in one source, but the other states that the only way to get it is by surfing. Which is correct? Dwebble is listed as obtainable before Keta in one source, but the other lists it as not even available in the game at all. Which is correct?
  13. The last time I went looking for Torkoal it was in the rock smashable pillar on the bottom floor. You know the ones that Magcargo are usually in?
  14. Yeah my first one was something from gen 1, not sure whether it was red or blue. It was so long ago that all I really remember is that we owned both games.
  15. Preach it. Level 12 Synthesis, dual screens by level up and Petal Dance on evolution to Meganium means that Chikorita actually does what a starter is meant to do pretty well. It helps you through the early game. It's sure as hell outclassed by a whole bunch of different grass types for the late game but that doesn't mean it's a bad starter pokemon.
  16. Am I? Gee wiz you learn something new everyday.
  17. Welcome Gator. ...Did you say Gator? **Flashbacks of the Gator Wars** Nopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenope. But seriously welcome. So long as you never send us back to those dark days of Reborn's past you'll be the best Gator to grace Reborn's shores.
  18. He's probably sleeping around now. Seriously though there aren't really that many people here that could fit into a farm animal category are there?
  19. I'd love to boost Lilligant but I got stuck on the 3rd change after a quick speed boost and access to Fiery Dance. If anyone's got any ideas on how you could add to that I'm all ears. As for what I'll contribute, I'll boost Heliolisk. Everyone knows that Dry Skin, Thunder, and Surf make him great in the rain, but I want to buff his Solar Power variant to be really viable as well. Firstly let's give him Solar Beam. Honestly it's a bit confusing that a lizard that no doubt suns itself regularly, has access to Solar Power, and who's very frill is shaped like a child's rendition of the sun doesn't already have this move, but it'd be great for any Heliolisk on a sun team. Giving it the ability to use a grass type move rather than a water type one to hit ground types would be a godsend, and it would also help get past rock types that can switch in on your spammable Hyper Voice. The second thing I want to do is give Heliolisk Heat Wave. When thinking about a fire type move to give our sun 'lisk there were three obvious choices: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, and Heat Wave. Of the three I chose Heat Wave not only because it's very unusual to find a pokemon that can learn Fire Blast but not Flamethrower, or vice versa, but also because Heat Wave is the only fire type move I can realistically see a Heliolisk using. Maybe that's because the primary inspiration for this pokemon is found in the Australian deserts, and I speak from experience when I say they are pretty damn hot. The third one is gonna be a stat boost. Honestly with the newfound power that Heliolisk would pick up from Solar Power I don't think it needs a boost to its special attack so I'll put this one in speed, letting it jump up to a frighteningly fast 119.
  20. Just got on board the erased train, and I'm loving the ride so far. It was the only one that stood out to me among the new anime being produced this season so I ain't watching anything else at the moment. Seinen is by far my favorite genre of anime though, so maybe that's why nothing else grabbed my attention.
  21. Yes, I've seen Vigoroth used in Reborn and it's a beast. It's really bulky, has a good attack stat, gets good stab moves, has slack off, and doesn't have Truant. If you want to ditch it later when it tries to evolve into Slaking that's your decision but Vigoroth is really good.
