  1. Bulbasaur: 25 Charmander: 13 Squirtle: 12 Cyndaquil: 23 Totodile: 20 Treecko: 18 Torchic: 15 Mudkip: 26 Turtwig: 21 Chimchar: 20 Piplup: 20 Snivy: 19 Tepig: 14 Oshawott: 18 Chespin: 18 Fennekin: 19 Froakie: 20 Rowlet: 20 Litten: 18 Popplio: 16 Poor Charmander, the heck happened
  2. @Zander Used Sludge Wave with Cradily twice, turning things into Murkwater. Murkwater has all water moves gain additional Poison typing; meaning Exca is IMMUNE to water type moves now. Excadrill set up 3 Swords Dance and Sandstorm with an Air Balloon to avoid to speed dropping effect, and proceeded to one shot everything with Rock Slide or Brick Break. Kingdra was the only thing that could touch it but at that point, it was already too late.
  3. It was a tie between Popplio and Tepig for me tbh. I honestly do actually really love Popplio's design but it just went in the exact opposite direction I wanted it to go as it evolved Poor sea lion.
  4. Bulbasaur: 22 Charmander: 16 Squirtle: 16 Chikorita: 12 Cyndaquil: 26 Totodile: 22 Treecko: 21 Torchic: 21 Mudkip: 21 Turtwig: 20 Chimchar: 20 Piplup: 19 Snivy: 19 Tepig: 16 Oshawott: 20 Chespin: 18 Fennekin: 20 Froakie: 19 Rowlet: 18 Litten: 18 Popplio: 19 Best starter stay winning.
  5. Well fuck. At least it's Poison in the top 2. I can live with that.
  6. Taka is meant to parallel Titania, not Amaria. Both are in situations where they can't get out due to their loved ones: Taka his father, Titania; Amaria. This is especially clear in the two paths; where Taka's death and the results of his actions; eg splitting from Meteor subsequently resulted in him dying and Titania being put through quite a lot of shock; as seen by her telling you to go to Amaria first. This as you said has a big effect on Amaria as not only does Titania not have her conversation with Amy, but Amaria also sees you with the Sapphire Bracelets; something Titania gave to Amaria. Amaria trying to kill you is the final nail in the coffin and Titania calls it quits, much like refusing to fight Taka was the final nail in the coffin for him in regards to his meteor membership. Personally I don't like everything after Titania in E17. It honestly feels somewhat rushed for such an impactful moment(in Reshiram at least.) I wish it got more time, or if the story splits had you fighting either Titania or Amaria and had each side focus on one or the other. I've ranted enough about the fight vs her, super disappointing coming off of the superb fight vs Titania. 6-0'd her pretty brutally with Excadrill.
  7. Ice: 5 Bug: 8 Poison: 9 Poison's the only one left I actually care for sooo :skull:
  8. Lol, didn't notice that he didn't get that one right either.
  9. @NickCrash Bug was at 11 before your vote; as such the slate should be like this from now onwards: Grass: 5 Steel: 3 Ice: 11 Ghost: 12 Bug: 9 Poison: 13
  10. >Hurting Ghost Grass: 5 Steel: 3 Ice: 11 Ghost: 11 Bug: 15 Poison: 13
  11. I'd have expected you to counter that by having the main Sludge Waver be Toxicroak itself(Since he DOES learn it), especially having the Taunt TM be rotateable. She can remove the field sure, but Toxicroak heals so much and can easily put it back up. Only thing she has that truly scares him out is Kingdra.
  12. So much easier is an understatement tbh. In my third playthrough, I had a Toxicroak completely 6-0 her straight from the lead because not only did she keepvolt switching out into things that could not outdamage the INSANE amounts of healing Toxicroak was getting, it was also easily able to set up and just Drain Punch everything down. It's a free win. Hoping you found an interesting way to beat her outside of standard "Click Sludge Wave and watch her die."
  13. Clean strategy. Did you not pick up the Bulk Up tm in the desert though? Could've ended up being extremely useful on Toxicroak here, and given it a free win against Amaria to boot.
  14. Grass: 6 Steel: 12 Ground: 9 Ice: 13 Ghost: 13 Bug: 23 Poison: 12 Oh hell no, not ghost too. Nuh uh.
  15. The AI is pretty easy to bait if it has an Electric move. Stick a water or flying type in front of them, then directly switch to Electivire for the speed boost.
  16. Skill Swap definitely works. Also don't you think Stufful as a starter ON TOP of Starly is a bit too much? Both are among if not the best Normal types you'd get.
  17. Cain works with Swampert and Primarina pretty well, but likely much more skewed towards the latter. Love Samurott but it's pretty weird seeing Cain with a Samurai, Type wise Swampert is probably best due to how well it synergises with his semi~(?)poison mono. Sceptile is better for Fern, both giving him a Mega and a nice fitting secondary starter. Emboar is also better here no contest. Dear lord yes. I've stated this to you before but IMO Corey is the only boss fight where this is actually beneficial, as Crobat is basically the whole Boss Fight on it's own. Most leaders would prefer bringing it out when necessary earlier, especially with the generally better AI rather than keeping it for last. I doubt you'll see any real oposition here.
  18. In Reborn/Rejuvenation? The -perfect- Pokemon in those games. Amazing stats, amazing abilities, comes with Close Combat from the get go to deal with it's rock weakness, has access to field changing moves in Heat Wave and Flame Burst, priority in Extreme Speed, raw damage in Flare Blitz. It has it all! Also looks fucking majestic.
  19. Grass: 21 Steel: 10 Ground: 12 Ice: 19 Ghost: 21 Dark: 7 Bug: 22 Rock: 8 Poison: 11 Tbh just look at Mega Absol's design period, thing kinda looks like guardian angel. Dark/Flying or Dark/Fairy would be perfect. Godly type coverage too.
  20. Number 1 overall is easily Taka. Needs no real explanation, by far the most likeable character in the game. Takes the no 1 for meteor, taking the spot from his Dad, Solaris and Elias, my second favourite character in the game. I like how E16/17 fleshed those three out and give them a lot of backstory. Solaris and El get painted in a much more sympathisable light. Gym leader is Corey. His presence is short but his effect on the plot as a whole is massive; his actions end up starting most of the midgame. His diary reveals Sirius to be the actual Devil too, which is cool too.
  21. Today's session of Redemption is starting in an hour!

  22. Grass: 24 Steel: 12 Ground: 13 Ice: 24 Fighting: 2 Ghost: 22 Dark: 10 Bug: 26 Rock: 8 Poison: 11 The 'edgy' design thing comes due to the fact that they're generally all based on perceived "Evil" things, either senseless violence, foul play, or the night. I'll give you the farfetch'd part but at the same time this is the rather disconnected world of Pokemon, where fish evolve into octopi and other wacky 'magical' things.
  23. Bar Miltank and Chansey, there's not a single Normal type I genuinely dislike...I think. Same goes for Dark, bar Alola-Persian I like pretty much all of them. All are generally cool as hell tbh, Honchkrow for example's about as perfect as they come.
