Ah, I misread.  Damn, that's a lot for one round.  I think 14k in a round is the most I've gotten in either Duel Carnival so far.

yeah, usually im stuck around 10k-12k at best. got one round where I was able to finish matches decently quickly with aliens and at decent assessment too, I suppose.

and I personally likes words best, though that's mostly because a majority of Lance classes don't fit my playstyle well (which is generally offense based, and Generals are much better for defense)

ignore me I'm wrong, but didn;t the Salamence have a screen nuke that you had to break your line of 100%?

@Wolfox it did, but salamences moves only ever got triggered when it was either walking on the ground (hyper beam) or when you let it fly around for too long (earthquake). iirc if your line broke while salamence was flying or if you lifted the styler before it was fully captured it would use earthquake as well. but other than that, when salamence is flying around it can literally not attack at all, and you get plenty of time for the twenty loops you need. that makes salamence a kind of difficult but predictable capture.

last time I played through ranger I had more trouble with flygon tbh.

I mean in that sense you can literally attribute anything to duke. thats not to say its not a possibility- definitely the second most likely contender. first is still syrus. apparently the japanese text looks quite alike to syrus' speech pattern in the anime, so im still very inclined to believe its him.

There isn't any pressing "you have to unlock this character quick" sort of things at the moment is there?  I haven't touched the GX side yet;  I'm trying to unlock most of the DM characters while advancing through the stages (Stage 17 now).

commonly used as well. partly because theyre so cheap to build (sea stealth attack or archfiend decks are overall more powerful but also much more expensive atm), and partly because multiple have made it to king of games already. theyre actually pretty neat, though I havent used them yet.

I know a bit about Alien (played them a bit on an older DS game) and I kinda like how they serve as a control and beat down based deck

its basically all they do, but they do it damn well. alien counters are pretty strong atm and aliens can do all sorts of neat things with them. theyre also pretty much the only deck to be able to run only archetype-specific backrow. luckily nearly all their cards, barring like one of their quick-play spells, are really easy to get due to their low rarity.

Well I think sangan's best use is for ghost ogre and snow rabbit, ash blossom and yoyous spring , Maxx C, ... :cards that activate from the hand during the opponents turn aka handtraps.

Duel links doesn't has these cards so sangan sucks. The problem with generic searchers like sangan is that the rextrictions need to fit the archetype it plays with. For sangan it requires to be summoned and then be send to the graveyard. With those requirements you might as well use the summon for something better. So I doubt it will be used that much.

I see what you mean. with sangans erratum, you also cant have your sangan be destroyed and activate aforementioned hand trap in the same turn, I suppose.

the biggest use of sangan I can see right now is in exodia, since the head was unsearchable until now. still, exodia is a meme deck at best so rip.

he's not my favorite, but he's up there for the GX era (granted most GX character had wasted potential (like Zane), so seeing someone get character development at all (that's not Jaden) usually makes them a decent character in that series. Would love to see Zane Truesdale, aka Hell Kaiser, get into duel Links tho. may his Cyber Dragons rule

jaden had like zero character development tbh. only really in the yubel arc. maybe a little after losing to aster but other than that nothing.

the only characters in gx that I saw with real character development were chazz, syrus, and to a lesser extent aster. the other were...really disappointing. to say in the least.

zane was p interesting but really the only thing that balanced jaden out in s1.

Yeah... it took Jaden to season 3 to really get character development started, and it finished at the end of season 4. and that being some of the most character development in the show shows how much they forgot about it

The sad thing is I don't even care enough to do anything about it.
