  1. Quick errors: Prologue - "Daliah" and "Delilah" both used to refer to the same girl. Ch1 - "Chivalrous" spelled as "Shivelrus" - probably intentional, but just in case. Overall: Interesting. Not a very unique premise, to be honest, but well-executed, Stylistically on-point, good descriptions, especially of combat. Strong characters, good dialogue. My main critique would be that some sentences feel out of place. For instance, In the above paragraph, the last line "He was a very respected male, often looked to in times of need when food was scarce. " feels kind of tacked-on; it doesn't really add on much value to the content being discussed in that section and kind of breaks the flow. All in all, a solid 4.2/5 for now. I look forward to more.
  2. Symphony was abruptly shaken out of her gleeful Tweet-checking spree by a light brush of Heavensea's tails which swished into her field of vision, obscuring the screen. She looked up questioningly and noticed that at some point, the tension in the room had approached Senbatsu* levels, primarily centered around her partner, who seemed to be doing all she could not to hiss and pounce at one of the humans. Sighing, she turned her body away, holding up her screen with her left and casually stroking one of Heavensea's tails with her free right hand, hoping to calm the Michi.
  3. While the others were discussing strategy, Symphony was far more invested in the crucial task of scrolling through her IdolTweet feed to keep up with all the latest gossip. As she chanced upon a particularly scandalous piece of news - Ricchan was caught in public with a Nienian! - she gasped and giggled, mostly oblivious to the serious discussion going on around her. Occasionally she looked up to see if they were leaving the room anytime soon, but soon returned to her duty, swinging her legs about on the tall bar stool that suspended her feet above the ground. If there was anything actually important, she knew she could count on Heaven-chan to tell her later.
  4. Liliana glanced over at her freshly transformed teammate with an appraising eye. Wings and a visor. Very flashy. Unable to help herself, she licked her lips a little in anticipation of the upcoming combat, then mentally admonished herself. It was not right to enjoy violence. ...though the stories of Lady Olivie did paint her as a woman who loved duels and battles... Raising her right hand, she grasped the cross around her neck and brought it to her lips, kissing it. "Eleganz. Öffnen." The device flashed twice, responding with a "Ja." A brilliant white light burst forth from the cross, circling her and enveloping her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hxJFP9Jj8U Her habit flashed twice, then glowed a brilliant white and dispersed, exposing her naked body. An elastic, white, skintight shirt materialised over her torso, complemented by a pair of tight-fitting teal tapered pants and white flat shoes. A black leather belt slowly threaded its way around her waist, fastening itself. Liliana spread out her arms wide, and a ceremonial long-sleeved lime green jacket materialised over her skintight undershirt. Along the teal-coloured lining that ran from her left shoulder to her right hip, numerous round golden buttons, stamped with crosses, appeared. On her left shoulder, a golden pauldron materialised, completing the image of a duelist of old. A blue, wide-brimmed fedora appeared above her and fluttered down, resting in a tilted-back position upon her head. Liliana took up a stance: back ramrod straight, left arm behind her back, right arm held in front of her face. Elegant white gloves shimmered into existence on her slender fingers, and Eleganz opened into its rapier form in her right hand. Slowly, she brought the handguard of the rapier to her lips and kissed it lightly. As she did, the sphere of light surrounding her shattered, leaving her standing next to Shou, Eleganz held before her in battle-ready posture, her left hand resting on her hip, her right side turned towards her opponents.
  5. Holy... that's a lot of work. Much kudos. Will definitely look forward to this. Art looks good, story seems great. 300k words of dialogue is INSANE! How long did it take you to write that?! Can safely say, I am EXTREMELY hyped for this.
  6. Symphony excitedly jumped up and down, waving her hand in the air. "Ooh! Ooh! I have a question~" Symphony rubbed her hands together, her pupils replaced with ¥ symbols. "If they're pirates, that means they have stolen stuff, am I correct? So... can we loot them? And keep the loot?" She put a finger to her chin, her eyes reverting to normal, as she suddenly thought of something else. "Oh, and they likely have some kind of broadcasting equipment on-site, so can we appropriate that for personal use if it exists?"
  7. In one of the center tables was a little robot girl. Her legs dangled off the ground as she sat on the high bar stool, and her blue shoes with white stockings coloured the air as her legs waved about. A frilly baby blue skirt adorned her metal thighs, complementing a shirt-vest ensemble, a white long-sleeved blouse setting the background for a blue patterned vest. Symphony had her eyes closed, listening to an instrumental track, humming along and tapping the table in time with the rhythm. She smiled contentedly as she listened, making a mental archive of ideas for lyrics. It had been a good idea to commission the composer; the music was wonderful. As the door opened and the tall woman walked in, Symphony opened a secondary audio input channel, marking the music as higher priority. As the woman talked about how utterly useless and weak they looked, Symphony continued to note down possible lyrics that could go in each verse. This would be Sol Sourire's first ever single album, so it needed to be perfect! It was definitely more important than some briefing or browbeating session. As the woman asked for a self-introduction, Symphony paused the music and looked up attentively. A good idol knows: never miss a chance to make an impression. She got the chance to go first unfortunately snatched away by the tattooed Michi woman, but she didn't let that discourage her; a good idol always keeps in high spirits, after all. The moment Blackseed slammed down her beer glass in a show of female masculinity, Symphony jumped on to her table and waved at everyone. "Hi~ I'm Symphony, idol-in-training! My dream is to bring smiles to people across the universe!" Symphony twirled around, sending her skirt sweeping around her with a flourish, then struck a pose: she leaned her upper body forward, put her left hand on her hip, and held her right up to her eye level in a "V" shape. "I'm a GUARDIAN pilot, and I'm good at blowing things to pieces, but... I think I still like singing and dancing more, tehe~" Complementing her statement with a wink. Symphony clasped her hands together and bowed. "I'm still very inexperienced, and I have many things to learn, but please take care of me." Symphony looked up again and smiled brilliantly. "Just watch us! We're going to be the greatest idol unit the universe has ever seen, me and my partner... Heavensea!" As she said this last line, she jumped off the table and tackled Heavensea with a flying hug. "Isn't she super cute?!" As she said this last line, she blissfully nuzzled the Michi girl's side, her face forming a "= w =" expression.
  8. Liliana gave a cursory glance at the newcomer. She had seen him around the church rather often, but had never spoken to him. She had never sparred against him before, though. As Yuuno explained the contents of the training, Liliana began to feel rather excited. It had been a while since she had any combat exercises, and this would be a nice chance to identify the chemistry within her team. For now, she strolled up to Jin and gathered her habit up into a curtsey, clasping her hands before her chest. "May the blessings of the Lady Olivie be upon you. I am Sister Liliana. I have seen you around before, but I don't believe we've ever spoken."
  9. O.O O.O!!!!! JORY!!! WELCOME BACK~ missed you tons. Sadly, due to current commitments I don't think I'll be participating in this RP, but I'll definitely read along~

    3. Code: PIRULUK

      Code: PIRULUK

Word Processors are one thing, but I was referring to dedicated writing software like Scrivener, designed to help writers organise/expand on their ideas with a plethora of additional features in addition to the base word processor. There's a ton of such software for screenwriters, but a sad lack for novelists.

  12. PSA: I'm overseas for work from tomorrow to the 31st. So if I disappear without warning or take years to reply, that's the reason why.
  13. Liliana returned Eleganz to its sealed form and nodded, turning and walking away from the balcony. It was getting late, and she still wanted to write in her diary before sleeping. A quick prayer to the Sankt Kaiser, then a little self-reflection, in preparation for tomorrow.

While some of them are indeed nice... I'm not going through the gymnastics to do that. It's not that worth to me.

  14. "Ah, uh, well, I don't quite know what fencing is, but..." Surprised by the other girl's sudden interjection, Liliana fidgeted a little and stuttered as she answered. "I specialise in speed-based close quarters combat, focused on exploiting openings and maintaining a well-rounded defence. Eleganz is optimised for speed and efficiency of magic consumption. She's not as flashy or sturdy as other Ancient Belkan devices, but she's my reliable partner. Right, Eleganz?" Liliana looked fondly upon the rapier as it replied, "Ja, Meine Freundin."
  15. Protip: registering an OC that is basically a palettw-swapped Ragna is not a good way to get accepted into an RP.
  16. Rein frowned over Natalie snapping at her. Not that she didn't understand the apparent goddess incarnate's confusion, but if Kallisto was right - and with her level of confidence, she was probably right - Natalie was a goddess, specifically Nayru, goddess of logic, and had a higher duty. Not that she cared much about the duty or the goddesses, most importantly she wanted her own convenient little frilly cute outfit. More importantly, the fact that she had said "why" as well as her reaction - not of confusion, but of anger - to Rein's utterance likely indicated some dorm of conscious denial. Now, Rein considered herself a fairly logical girl. She could probably talk to Natalie, walk through the steps with her, take her through the logical processes and help her recognise that her denial was pointless. But that was too much effort. That wasn't Rein. So instead, she levelled a punch at the taller girl's abdomen.
  17. One major problem would be character creation. You'd need to have a VERY in-depth understanding of Japanese mythology to find a Youkai race to play. Additionally, human characters in the touhouverse are generally super underpowered - with a few (read: 4, 5 if you count Youmu) exceptions.
  18. While Liliana was gazing into the distance, reflecting on her sinful thoughts of the day, it seemed that at some point, the other two had started speaking of devices and device theory. Liliana did not know much about device theory, just the bare minimum required to maintain Eleganz - and that wasn't a lot. One of the advantages of the Ancient Belka system was that the Devices used were generally simple and efficient, so easy to maintain. That said, it seemed that the boy - Shou - was aiming to be a Device Meister. His device was definitely Mid-childan, so he would likely have had very few opportunities to examine an Ancient Belkan device, given the scarcity of their users. And it couldn't hurt to make more friends, ja? Of course, part of her action was motivated by an innate, childish desire to show off her close companion as well. An impulse that she recognised and chastised herself for even as she indulged it. She nudged the boy to get his attention, then clasped her hands together in front of her, as if in prayer. "Eleganz, Device Mode." In a clear voice, the cross around her neck echoed out a simple "Ja", before shining and radiating a light blue glow. Liliana held her right hand in front of her, fist clenched, arm forming an L-shape with her torso. Her back ramrod straight, she placed her other arm behind her, the curve at the elbow also forming an L. A moment passed, then a long, thin rapier materialised in her grip. Its hilt was a brilliant gold, engraved with numerous intricate carvings. The blade itself was a shining, shimmering blue, and otherworldly blue, with a crystal-like appearance, with carved white glyphs along each side. Placing her left hand on the flat of the blade, she changed her grip and proffered the Device to Shou with both hands. "...for your research."
