    1) My own webserial, Lily Ex Machina Probably 境界線上のホライゾン (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) for me. I immensely enjoyed the societal concepts which the author explored, with the entire setting itself a giant, unapologetic commentary about determinism. 2) Holo from Spice & Wolf Actually, after giving it some serious thought, it would probably be November Annabella Terra, from StarCraft: Ghost. The novel depiction of her, not the game one. I really enjoyed her development as a character, with her circumstances turning her into a murderer. I found her very well-written, and many of my characters to this day take various aspects from her. 3) Taste is subjective, but in my opinion, based on what I know you'd watch, I'd say you have pretty average, mainstream consumer taste 4) Not the enemy's base.

    1) Game or girl? Game would be embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Girl should be pretty obvious from my DP. 2) Painful and tedious, alas, c'est la vie. 3) I'm not averse to it, but which aspect of writing? There are several components that work together to form narrative writing, and each of those require specific advice. PM me any questions about this and I'll get back to you ASAP 4)I want to say yes, but... sadly, no. My webserial takes priority, and I'm starting school soon. I'm usually pretty unsatisfied with my writing because I feel I can do a lot better, but I'm just not experienced enough to know how. In particular, I feel like I have a tendency to over-use specific verbs, like "smile". In my defence, most synonyms for "smile" carry additional emotional or contextual connotation, and therefore are unsuitable as proper substitutes. I also feel like I'm pretty decent at writing character dialogue and relationships, but rather terrible at descriptive prose. I would describe my style as "instinctual". No and no, sadly. I don't really hang out on the forums much (I spend more time on the PS server) but when I do, I mostly frequent the roleplaying sub, so that's probably why you've never seen me. I don't even play pokemon anymore; stopped post-gen 5. Love. I love money though.

You fit the criteria, don't worry. 3) I put this in my original thread, but it was really just me wanting to do something with a fun OC I had lying around for an RP on this site. The rest of the story evolved over time, in the way stories have a tendency to do, to the point where it's now far bigger than I thought it would ever be, 4) No.

    LOLI_HUNTER v.s. Ricochet Kagari raised an eyebrow as her opponent attempted to slam her into the ground. Good effort, but the arm servos of a mech were not quite able to exert enough force to divert a heavy, mid-motion mech in that manner. Her path through the air stayed unchanged, allowing her to aim herself on a collision course with her opponent. The moment her opponent stepped away to avoid her, with his hands still holding on to her spear, she let go of the spear, landing next to him in a crouched position. In her lowered position, taking advantage of her momentary proximity to her opponent, she sent the cables writhing outward from her left hand to ensnare her opponent's leg. As she did so, a compartment on her right calf opened and launched a knife into her waiting right hand, which she then used to strike diagonally upwards at her opponent. While she was doing this, she wasn't really paying attention to her bits, so another three were destroyed in the spray, leaving her with only five working bits, which continued to move while dodging her opponent's erratic fire, alternating shots for the purpose of keeping up a constant stream of pressure fire.

    K_H, big problem. Your attack is scientifically unsound. It's not possible to retract your cables to the point where they're "taut" because Kagarin is currently in motion, and will constantly be in motion until her movement is stopped. The distance between her and Ricochet is constantly shrinking, and therefore the cables are constantly becoming slack. Even if you say that the speed at which you are reeling is faster than that of her approach, you'll add more forward momentum, which means you need even more force to kill the charge, and the moment you stop reeling the cables to turn, the cables will be slack again. Even if you continue reeling them in even as you turn, the reeling action combined with the jerking movement will generate forward momentum, meaning her direction wouldn't change. If you try to retract your cables, the most you'd be able to do is pull her into a collision with you. Adding on to this, if the cable isn't taut, it's not possible to exert enough force to kill her forward momentum and generate sideways momentum, so your attack is physically impossible to execute.

    @Strat, just thought I'd point it out, but... "backdowned" isn't a word. You're probably looking for "backed down". Also, I'm not entirely sure that a railgun projectile would be coated with electricity since it's propelled by magnetic, not electric energy, but... hey, Rule of Cool I guess.

    LOLI_HUNTER v.s. Ricochet Kagarin arched an eyebrow as her opponent started targeting her bits even as he held her weapon. She sent orders to all her bits to scatter and move haphazardly, firing harrying shots at her opponent. She glanced at the weapon, still in her opponent's grip, and yawned. If you're not going to come to me, perhaps I'll go to you. While his attention was drawn to the rapidly moving bits, she released the cables anchoring her to the ground while simultaneously pushing herself hard off the ground, taking care to keep her spear aligned with the direction her opponents hands were coming from, sending her hurtling at her opponent. In this time, Ricochet had managed to take out six of her fourteen bits, leaving eight more to fly around her opponent, peppering him with mid-calibre ballistic rounds

    K_H, note that Kagarin's bits can move independently as well as at her direction, she can change their positions with just a thought. With that in mind, also taking into account your relatively low firepower stat, it's a bit premature to assume you managed to destroy all of them, no? Especially since the bits have built-in guns that can serve as point defences v.s. rockets, and are highly mobile objects that would probably be able to dodge your grabbyhands and lasers. To emphasise, her bits aren't static emplacements; they can move. And the moment you start targeting them, it's entirely possible for Kagarin to reassign their firepower to converge on your location.

    Actually, why not remove Masters from the equation? Just do a 7 way free for all battle royale with the prize being the grail? Having Masters adds depth, but we lack the number of active players necessary for it to work. We can have the Servants forcibly summoned or something.

    LOLI_HUNTER v.s. Ricochet "Hoh...?" Kagari raised an eyebrow as her opponent launched his hands at her direction without warning. She instinctively intercepted the path of the hands with the spear, while cables emerged from her right wrist to secure it to her hand. "Ah, so that's his gimmick. I see. A grappler, huh? In that case...!" Moving quickly, using the momentum from swinging up the spear to intercept the attack, she changed the angle of the spear, keeping the length of its shaft parallel to the path which her opponent's hands had followed. At the same time, from her back, a group of wires shot outwards and backwards, digging into the ground of the island, anchoring her firmly. "Now then, what will you do...?"

    @Pyon ooooh I just saw this, and it looks fun. I'm not sure if I have the time to join though... Is it possible for a character to join later on, midway through the campaign? (I mean, it *is* Fire Emblem, so that happens a lot...)

    LOLI_HUNTER v.s. Ricochet Kagari briefly scanned the crowd during the time she was dropping on to her designated island. She frowned. No lolis in sight. She sighed as she dejectedly began to focus on the battle. She should have known. One reason she was so addicted to the loli ideal was the relative scarcity of it on her home plane. Apparently, many people considered Lust to be a bit unsafe for raising children. She clicked her teeth in annoyance. What nonsense. She grew up on this plane, and she turned out completely fine... "Whoa!" Her thoughts were interrupted by a sense of impending danger as her opponent launched an attack. Reacting quickly, she ducked under the missile and leapt over the path of the laser. "...a bit hasty, no?" The moment her feet touched the ground again, she deployed her bit system in a scattered formation, creating a grid which covered about half the arena. A panel on her leg slid open, from whence she retrieved a pole which unfolded itself into a spear as long as she was tall. A thin, strong cable emerged from the spear's shaft and connected to a slot in her wrist. Holding that spear in her right hand, with numerous steel wires emerging from her left wrist, hanging limply, she took a ready stance as she tracked her opponent's movements with a focused gaze.

    Kagarin - Say nothing, do something characterising Kagari stood before the god of her home realm, basking in the pleasant musk that floated faintly through the air. It felt good to be home. Her clothing was slightly different from usual: unlike the tube top and shorts she commonly favored, she was currently adorned in a large, heavy, black robe. As for the reason behind this change, it was because she knew she would be meeting with Swagilicious, and thus had prepared an appropriate introduction. His aura of fabulousness made it very difficult to say anything beyond an introduction, even for her, but that would be sufficient. She stepped forward from the line of candidates, being careful not to step on the fainted man, and presented herself before her god. With a flourish, she divested herself of her robe, revealing what she was wearing underneath. That is to say, nothing. Naked as the day she was born, the each of the inner sides of both her breasts displayed a faded scar in the shape of a "V", the two scars perfect reflections of each other. Leaving her robe on the ground, she took a few more steps forward, proffering a deep curtsey. "My god, it is an honor to stand in your presence. Would that I could give my true name, but circumstances dictate that I introduce myself as LOLI_HUNTER. My number is..." Kagari lowered her voice such that only the god could hear it as she divulged her contact information. With that, she curtsied again and wheeled around, returning to the line of participants, her robe lying forsaken on the ground.
