"You should meet meesa at the Raven's Spiral tomorrow, Glicks teach many class, but should be able to squeeze in time for yousaa." "Raven's Spiral..." He'd have to find out where that was. He doubted there was much that this Glicks could teach him, but he would attend. This was one piece of knowledge he did not want to pass up. Still... what the kobold had said annoyed him. "Also further mores, Magic cannot not simply be explained. It is a process, a science. I cannot simply say, magic works thissa way, now go use spells." Of course he had known that magic could not be explained or taught. He was a sorcerer, after all. Still... he hadn't quite lived the ordinary sorcerer life. He had an instructor as a child: Scuro. And despite being a sorcerer, he felt that the man had helped him learn some of what he knew. That was why he would be at Raven's Spiral tomorrow. If he could even get some clue as to how Invisibility worked... then perhaps he could finally become a true Illusionist.

Lars stared in amazement at Enyo's GAO. He knew for sure he did not want to go against her. While size wasn't everything in a battle, his GAOs were all so small in comparison that he didn't really think he had a chance against that thing. "Hey Enyo..." he started, a grin spreading across his face. "Would you mind letting me get a sketch of that thing later?"

"All right then. Sounds good enough for me," he replied with a grin. "Malice is pretty small, and he's not gonna win the looks category with that ghastly face. Looks like my only chance will be the battle..." He pushed the thought aside, his optimistic side returning. Of course he couldn't expect to win every category, but Malice had proven himself to be competent in battle. He would just have to count on that and do his best.

Well, as far as our next GAOs (and yes, I know and expect that not to be for quite a while) I'm hoping nobody takes my Aggron from me... Though who knows, I may not even take it. I was thinking T-tar if not Aggron, but Enyo will have one now, so that's out of the question.- 1189 replies

"So, how about it?" Lars stood slowly from where he was, scooping up Sleepy in one arm and stretching with the other. He walked over to the others, Dominance following at his feet. "Sure, I guess," he replied, before yawning. He was more tired than he had originally thought after the events of today. "But how are we going about this? Size? Looks? A battle?"

Nero loosely motioned at the device Glicks was working on. "I... happened to catch a glimpse of what you were doing there. Is that... artificial invisibility? And if you don't mind me asking... can you explain how it works? I happen to be an Illusionist myself, so this intrigues me."

I'm actually somewhat excited for this if it gets a Western release. I'd like to see more than just fighting types, but it could still be good either way. (If Pikachu doesn't have some appearance though... you know it's not Pokemon. Even if he's only on the menu screen or in the background of a stage or something.) Also, on the topic of stages, do you think we'll see recognizable places from the Pokemon games? ( The Daycare, the Lumios City Tower, etc.) I would assume so, but I can't really tell from the trailer. Are they battling in Lumios City? It somewhat resembles it...

Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Flux replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Phantom strode through the portal, closing it as Mr. Taylor entered beside him. He could already feel the pressure of the place as it rejected them, but it was easily manageable right now. He walked down the path, rounding a corner and awaiting what the next passage would look like. (((I guess it's up to Notus from here as to what the corridor looks like, and when we do have to leave the "phantom zone," what enemies we encounter.))) -

Nash gave Roland a nod, seeing what the ranger had in mind. He charged at the beast as he ran past, swinging at its legs to draw its attention. The cuts were shallow, but they would get the job done. The beast turned towards him and tried to stand up, but only managed a crouch with its injured leg. It hobbled after Nash, still with surprising speed due to its size. He led it towards the fallen pillar, being careful to keep its attention away from Roland. As they neared the pillar, he swung around the beast's side, making it position its back towards Roland. He gave a thumbs up as he stood in fron of the beast, looking up into its angry eyes. He rolled to the side as it slammed a hand down towards him. Now he just had to make sure he survived long enough for Roland to finish the job. -
Blaze followed behind Nivia, unnerved by the powerful pokemon they had just met, but curious at the same time. His eyes were focused on Mewtwo, wondering just how he would receive them, and hoping nothing went wrong. He had asked for their help, so he didn't think that he would harm them, but it still was best to be cautious. He tried to keep his legs from shaking as they got closer.

A Tune for a Tale #1: Dark Moor
Flux replied to Chevaleresse's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Maybe I'll try writing something up if I find the time. I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with the RPs I'm in, as well as moving my own along. (I know, I know. I need to get on that...) I won't promise anything Acqui level though. -
Flux turned to Alina. "Would you like to handle this one?" He shrugged. "I'm content either way, but these battles get tough on an older guy like me. Perhaps I should retire..." He gave a bright smile. He really wasn't that old, but it did make for great excuses. "Or are we going to purely overpower them with 4v3?"

"Artificial Invisibility...? ...I can't even do it the regular way yet, but he seems to have attached it to that device..." He paused in his thoughts, an idea having popped into his mind. "Perhaps..." Nero strode over to the kobold, who appeared to still be entranced by his work. He stood a few feet away, leaning against the bar and folding his arms as he watched, close enough to be noticed when the kobold took a break, but far enough away that he wouldn't interrupt. He would wait until Glicks noticed him before asking the questions he had. And just maybe... he could learn what he needed.

Acqui. That was too good. I just want to say that now. -
Debating if I should have Nero interrupt Glicks or wait to see more... Decisions, decisions... It would also be in character for him to just take what he's learned and walk away, but that's kind of boring...

Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Flux replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Phantom stared back at Mr. Taylor for a short time after he finished speaking, before slowly nodding. "...Okay." He walked down a path that led away from the other group for a ways, before extending his left hand. The air shimmered and distorted as the portal formed in front of him. He stood to the side, waiting for Mr. Taylor, so they could begin moving through the place. It was likely the man would need periods of rest between the times in the "phantom zone," as he had called it. Even Phantom himself would not be able to shift back and forth between dimensions forever. -

The beast quickly dropped Nash as its wrist was cut into. Blood seeped from the gash as it roared in agony. It movements were slower now, and it seemed weaker. Nash rolled to his feet, readying his greatsword and muttering his thanks. "By my singed beard, ranger, I owe you one. And Rhea too." He nodded towards the beast, still kneeling on the ground. "I'd reckon we can finish it here. It appears to have lost its strength... Still, be careful. I'll attack from below, see if you can get atop it." -
A frown came upon Nero's face as Abraham walked away. "I look familiar?" he wondered. "I don't recall meeting him before this... Unless... Had Abraham been at the manor at some point during his childhood?" He shook his head, dismissing the thoughts. There was no way he could no for sure if they had met. It was likely just a mistake on Abraham's part. Perhaps he resembled somebody the man knew. Either way, he wouldn't press the man. It wasn't really that important anyway. He looked up towards the bar, finding Glicks with his eye. He was curious as to what the kobold worked on. Perhaps he could find out by watching...

"I am very sorry about that, Sir, I hope Glicks didn't disturb you. He can be rude sometimes. He isn't the best around people." Nero was silent for a time before responding. He appeared to have thought something over. "It isn't a problem. He can have the spot if he really wants it. I can always move."

Flux took a glimpse at the unmoving acolytes as he followed the others. If one was looking, they may have seen a brief flash of cold harshness in his eyes. It disappeared as quickly as it came, and he was his usual cheerful self as he followed them. "I don't suppose we're very covert anymore then, are we?" he said with a smile, raising his arms in a helpless gesture.

Nero silently stepped away from the group as they took their seats, taking a place in the corner. He stood, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, observing as Oarloff prepared his harp. A faint smile crossed his lips at the irony of his current place. Here he was, back in the corner again, much as he had been when he had first been in Odin's own tavern. As Oarloff began to play, Nero simply watched, giving no reaction to the music. Music had never really affected him the way it seemed to affect others. He was puzzled by how it could make them smile, laugh, or cry. He looked over at Helzebeth, who seemed to be immersed in the music, though it was more difficult to notice with her character. He resigned himself to simply observe as the others drank and spoke...

Rhea nodded as Jory ran off. She could see Nash in the distance, closing in on the beast's legs from behind. He swung his sword at its ankle, aiming for the tendon. His hit rang true, cutting deep, and the beast collapsed to one knee. "That'll teach ya... to mess with us!" he yelled, his face portraying the anger that only battle could bring out. Still, the beast would not give in. It reached back quickly with a hand, grabbing Nash before he could react. It slowly brought the hand in front of its face, barely above ground level. Flames poured from the sides of its mouth as it prepared to breathe fire. ------------------------------- Rhea frantically finished the words to her prayer, praying that it would be answered. The flames shot towards Nash as he squirmed in its grasp, but they were pushed aside by a barrier of light. "Roland, please!" she shouted. "Cut him out of there!"
