All I remember of this RP is the epic battle against Gardenia that resulted in Lupus's Houndoom (Lobo I believe?) using Toxic on Shredder. That was fun times.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Jory replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Jacob chuckled at the small Dragon-type. "Wow! Stronger already, I see! Well, we'd better be getting back to the group. Say goodbye, Teo and Spitfyre!" he said quickly. The two Pokemon gurgled and waved their goodbyes respectively, then followed Jacob as their Trainer began to head back to the chaperones. -
The Corporal looked back, nodding his acknowledgement to Logan. Always putting the wounded first. A true medic, he thought to himself as he continued forward.

I'd recommend changing to Bisharp or Lucario, as both have the "noble Pokemon" aura despite Bisharp's... well... sharpness.

You could also go with Blastoise, Greninja, or Feraligatr.

I saw it immediately and was going to point it out, but I figured you'd catch on. If you hadn't I would have said something, though. I'd recommend picking a different Pokemon. There are a lot of Water-types to choose from, and you'd be surprised at how much a different partner can change a character (especially in this RP).

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]

Jacob laughed and approached the wild Gible, lifting it off the ground and placing it back on its feet. "Hey, little guy, you did an amazing job! If I weren't so dead set on having one Pokemon of every type, I'd take you with me right away! So let's make a deal, alright buddy? You make sure you grow up big and strong and every time I come back here we'll battle. How does that sound?" Teo nodded his head in agreement with Jacob, gurgling happily at the small Dragon-type. Looks like Teo has a rival! his Trainer thought happily. -

"Teo, finish this! Use Sand Tomb to get that Gible out of the ground, then hit it with Strength one more time!" Jacob ordered. The Trapinch stomped on the ground, causing a plume of sand to shoot out from the Gible's burrow. Teo lay eagerly in wait near the burrow, ready to hit the ascending Gible with his attack. -
Dru stirred from his chair in the corner of the lower floor. He had thought he felt vibrations in his dreams... As though the Earth itself were screaming... he thought to himself, opening his eyes. He was surprised to see that Marcus had already awoken when he began to hear Blue's voice in his head. Not good, he thought to himself, standing up. "Marcus, I am here," he said aloud, not bothering to respond to Blue's telepathic message. He was a sorcerer, after all; he had no doubt Blue knew that he had gotten the message. "We must make haste."

((bear with my typos here. I'm typing on my phone in a car)) Jacob winced as he saw the Gible's Dragon Rages flying toward Teo. The Trapinch looked to the sideline for instructions, so Jacob said the only thing he could think of. "Teo, Dig straight down now and fire a Sand Tomb up behind you! You'll get hit, but not as hard!" The Trapinch nodded and began to dig down, burrowing as far as he could before impact. As he dug a sand twister began to fly upward toward the Gible, the two attacks passing each other in midair. Finally the Gible's attacks hit the ground, throwing up a cloud of dirt and flinging the Trapinch out of his burrow. The Trapinch looked battered but still in fighting shape, standing up ready to fight. "Burrow again and when that Gible lands, hit it with a Strength attack again!" The Trapinch burrowed once more, lying in wait for the airborne Gible to come down. -

Jacob grinned as the Gible fired off a Dragon Rage. Why am I not surprised? he thought to himself, "Teo, burrow under the ground to dodge it!" he barked at his Trapinch. The large-jawed Ground type obeyed immediately, firing himself into the earth and narrowly avoiding the Dragon Rage. Jacob sidestepped it calmly, the flaming blue ball sailing harmlessly past him. "Now, retaliate with all your Strength!" he ordered. A small mound of dirt appeared between the Gible's legs and then Teo shot up and out of the dirt, swinging his heavy jaws like a club at the Gible. -

Spitfyre looked up at his Trainer, a huge smile coming across the lizard's normally stormy face. "Awesome job, Spitfyre!" Jacob said happily. He finally got a victory! Now he'll be that much more willing to listen to me in the next fight. "See? When we work together, we can do anything!" he said excitedly. Jacob grinned, looking down at the excited Gible. "Hey, buddy, you want to battle us too?" The young Trainer looked down at Teo. "What do you think, Teo? Is this Gible strong enough for you?" The Trapinch nodded his huge jaws, imitating the Gible's leg to leg hopping. "Good." This should be a good fight. Teo's never gone up against a Dragon before, Jacob thought to himself. Teo took a ready position across from the Gible, raring to go after watching Spitfyre's match against the wild Trapinch. "We're ready when you are, Gible!" -
Jory looked to his GAO, fearful of what had happened to him. "He looks paralyzed! I've seen this before. Surge's little rodent GAO can do the same thing..." he said to no one in particular, his concern for his companion overriding his attention to the battle. Ultimately he decided to recall the GAO, realizing the gecko's fighting ability had been cut in half since he could no longer take advantage of his blinding speed. Hmm... Sampson won't do too well in the rain. I need another plan, and quick! he thought to himself. He took out Neffi's GAO and couldn't help but smile as his first GAO emerged from her ball. "Alright, boys," he said loudly, his mind beginning to move more agilely. "They like to use electricity, but Surge just neutered it with that damn toad of his. So let's use this moment to move away from this spot, now!" he barked, beginning to lead his fireteam from cover to cover toward the enemy lines.

Spitfyre screeched in pain as the Trapinch's powerful jaws closed around its leg. It tried to shake the Ground-type loose to no avail. Jacob, however, was able to keep a cool head, as he didn't have a large set of teeth digging into him in a rather painful manner. Crap! I never meant for the Trapinch to get this close, but maybe it's time we finished this at close range. "Alright, Spitfyre, let'im have it one more time! Incinerate that thing once and for all!" With that, Spitfyre's eyes set in a harsh glare and his mouth began overflowing with flames. He finally released them in a searing jet at close range, the Trapinch's fate sealed. -
Well, since the fine Lieutenant was nice enough to post his planned team I think I'll follow suit. -- Teotlatl, the Desert Spirit-- As Jacob's first Pokemon and best friend, he's the one he trusts most. He'll be a speed demon and able to take down everyone else on the team, but won't necessarily be the strongest. --Chalchi, the Icebringer-- Chalchi is the "mother" of Jacob's team and is fiercely loyal to them. She values her teammates above all else and is far and away the most intelligent member of the squad. --Spitfyre, the Raging Inferno-- The most formidable member of Jacob's team and the one that currently has the strongest potential to become a Mega Evolution. He travels with Jacob because he values his strength and integrity, but also because he personally desires strength. --Arete, the Star-Crossed Lover-- The Pokemon on the team who cares the most about her Trainer, Arete values the people and Pokemon closest to her. She is shy by nature, but shows kindness and compassion to those who she feels strongly about. --Pancho, the Drunken Fist-- Pancho is a lazy Pokemon who needs to be motivated in order to fight at his full capacity. However, once he gets a Bulk Up in he becomes very hard to take down. He favors moves that don't hit that hard, but allow him to take a lot of punishment in return. --Florence, the Graceful Assassin-- Florence is a confident fighter who excels at using her mobility and unconventional tactics to catch enemies off guard. She has a crippling fear of Fire, which can hurt her ability to function as a team player. As such, she usually operates as a lone wolf. --Ukiki, the Smiling Trickster-- The fastest Pokemon on the team, Ukiki enjoys messing with his Trainer and teammates. Ultimately he is loyal to them, but he does not express this with any degree of frequency. He is close with Pancho, as the lazy Scrafty can't muster up the energy to hate him. --Orpheus, the Fearless Wanderer-- It's not that Orpheus is afraid of nothing; he simply doesn't allow it to surprise him. Aside from being one of Jacob's most trusted teammates, he has a modest demeanor that many find unsettling. He has never been heard, but his voice works just fine. --Vulkan, the Flame Manipulator-- After catching so many Pokemon weak to Ice-types, Vulkan becomes Jacob's answer to those frozen pests. He has a fiery temperament rivaled only by the mysterious calm of Orpheus, making the two butt heads often. --Eska, the Aggressive Slug-- His title says it all. This sea slug means business, and the only thing it'll stop for is to crawl up onto its Trainer to give him a big slimy hug. Eska gets along very well with his teammates, but anyone his Trainer doesn't like is fair game. Luckily he's very slow, otherwise other Trainers might be in danger. ??? --???, the Unrevealed Trump Card-- You didn't think I'd let you see everything in advance, did you? Rest assured this Pokemon covers most of Jacob's team's weaknesses, but is also one of the most formidable members of the squad and the last to join it.

Jacob grinned at the Trapinch's headlong attack. Charmander is WAY faster than any Trapinch except for maybe Teo. But this Trapinch looks like it's going to go right in for the attack anyway. But if he gets hit, this might hurt a lot. "Alright, Spitfyre, now's your chance! Stand your ground and hit this Trapinch with another Incinerate attack!" the Trainer ordered. The Charmander smirked as orange flames began to lick at his jaw. The flame lizard opened his mouth, releasing a jet of searing hot flame toward the oncoming Ground-type. -

Jacob grinned as the Trapinch went for Sand Tomb, his Charmander beginning to sink down toward the Trapinch. That's exactly what I would've done. Lucky for me, I know my own strategies. "Alright, Spitfyre, now's your chance! Aim an Incinerate attack right down that Trapinch's hole and flush him out, then follow up with Dragon Rage!" he ordered. The Charmander breathed in deeply and released a plume of blazing hot fire down the Trapinch's burrow in an attempt to flush him out. As the attack continued the flames in his mouth changed from an orange to blue hue as he prepared for the overheated Trapinch to resurface. -

Jacob watched the Trapinch go underground and smirked. I have the advantage here. I know exactly what this thing is capable of. He would never attack directly immediately. Spitfyre is way too fast for that. "Spitfyre, be on your guard!" he shouted. Suddenly the Trapinch popped up. "Use Dragon Rage to blow right throw that sand cloud!" he ordered. The Charmander quickly spat a ball of blue flame toward the Trapinch, the sheer force of the attack blowing the sand away from the fire-type and continuing toward the Trapinch. -

Spitfyre growled menacingly at the Trapinch, the flame on his tail growing brighter. Awesome, Jacob thought to himself. This is exactly the kind of battle Spitfyre needs. One that's against a Pokemon just a little stronger than him and with a level advantage. But what this Trapinch doesn't know is that Spitfyre can use Dragon Rage. And that's going to be the difference maker in this, he thought, smiling broadly. "Alright, Trapinch. We'll accept your challenge!" the young Trainer said to the Pokemon. Teo snorted derisively at the weaker Trapinch, excited to watch the battle between his new teammate and the interloping Trapinch. Jacob took a ready stance and Spitfyre raised his claws, ready for battle. -
That would be lovely, although Teo is the only one who I planned to have battle against a Gible. Spitfyre is going to battle a Trapinch and Chalchi is going to battle a Druddigon, while Arete is probably just going to lose whatever battle I have her fight because Togepi. EDIT: Also, dropping Sofia could cause continuity problems. I'd just keep her as a background character in case we need another NPC at some point in the future.
