  1. Shirt pic inbound just for you:
  2. I don't always drink brotein, but when I do I prefer Whey.
  3. I'm good for now. Like I said, I'll let you know if I end up with more time than I thought.
  4. {Conclave Group- 2F Stairwell} Jory gave a quick "Thanks," to the sisters before following Carissa up the stairs. Shredder moved cautiously behind his Trainer, overtaking him at the end of the flight of stairs and waiting for Carissa to proceed forward. "Careful," Jory cautioned despite seeing Carissa actually moving slowly for once. "Like those Acolytes said, the ones on the upper floors are going to be much less willing to let us through. Maybe we should wait for the rest of the squad before running into another floor full of enemies."
  5. Dru was baffled. "You just claimed to know nothing of the Earth and its spirits and now you wish to wield their power? Show me what you mean to do and I will carry it out properly," he thought at Dia.
  6. Jory jogged lightly over to his Commander and the Hell Fox, unfazed by his CO's usual show of strength and slight insanity. He looked at the rest of the squad and sighed in relief. With the exception of Surge's Electric GAO, the rest of them seemed to be in good health and fighting shape. "Sir, Oliver sustained that electrically induced paralysis that these GAOs can inflict on one another. Are there any supplies here that could fix that?" He returned Neffi to her capsule for the moment to spare her feelings. "I need my ace in top form if we're going to be handing asses back to their owners, sir," he said with a grin. He then released Neffi once more. The Poison GAO looked a bit confused, but otherwise happy to be out and about once more.
  7. Guys, I would really love to co-host but I'm not sure I can spend the time I'd need to in order to run it properly. There's a reason I haven't started my own RP yet. My priority is and always has been school, and I start classes again tomorrow. Essentially, earlier this year I was effectively suspended from my home university for smoking weed in my dorm room. Instead of taking the suspension on my transcript (I'm an accounting major, so that would majorly impact future hireability) I took a medical withdrawal. That means that all my grades from last semester got discarded. I'm now a semester behind, which means that I need to knuckle down and get really good marks this term in addition to taking summer classes. If I find out after a month or so of class that the material isn't overly difficult I'll definitely reconsider, but until then I'm not willing to make such a big commitment if I can't give it 100% effort. Sorry gang, but you'll need to find a different co-host DarkLight/Notus, PM me if you want my recommendations for co-host. I already have two in mind.
  8. Dru followed Hunter through the trees, bounding over roots and ducking under branches as he made his way toward the battlefield. Eventually, he made his way to the edge of the clearing where the battle was raging between the Fire Templar and the werewolf Ashnard just in time to see Helze's arrow bounce off the lightning cage. Unfortunately for Marcus, he seemed to be outmatched and overpowered by the feral beast. Dru felt along the ground and detected that the lightning magic had originated from Ashnard, much as he had expected. "As though a werewolf weren't bad enough, we have to contend with one that can use Lightning Magic. Now you see what I deal with these days," he thought to Dia, exasperated but strangely glad for her company. "If you have any suggestions, now would be the time to speak up. Meanwhile..." his thought trailed off as he began stomping his feet rhythmically. He felt beneath the Earth, not taking his abilities for granted anymore after the incident with the Grave Earth. "Terra arbalocoxe!" he shouted, effectively announcing his presence as he raised his hands and stomped both feet on the ground. Four stone pillars rose from the Earth at the corners of the lightning box in an attempt to dissolve the cage to give Helze a better shot.
  9. Dru jumped up as he heard shouting near the camp, the Earth carrying the sound to his eager ears. Helzebeth is in trouble? he thought to himself. "We will continue this conversation later, Dia. My friends are in need." He then turned to Flint. "Old man, if you must know there is a stray spirit from the Grave Earth trapped in my mind. But this is not the time for such things! I must go to Helzebeth's aid at once." With that he ran back through the camp, following the sound of claws on metal through the forest. Hopefully he would arrive in time to prevent any friendly blood from being spilled.
  10. Jory came up behind Carissa and stood next to her, nodding at the Acolyte's question. "Yes, she sent us." He then looked backward at the KO'd Acolytes, scratching the back of his head. "Sorry about that, by the way. I think we all got a little carried away here. The last thing we expected was for you all to be cooperative at all." He grinned sheepishly and then looked toward the stairwell, tapping his foot impatiently. "My friend here is right, though. All we want is to get to the Conclave Mother so that we can finish the fight while the rest of our team battles your Gym Leader." He then paused, looking intently at the Acolytes. "Say, what type of Pokemon does the Conclave Mother use? Knowing in advance would be a definite advantage for us."
  11. Roland cleared his throat, looking to Asgall. "While the prospect of hiring mercenaries is quite realistic and an excellent choice, I believe that where Sigeto is concerned I may be of some help to our force." He paused, taking a deep breath as he looked around. "I am not a native of Eire. I am only a recent arrival, in fact. I have been here for less time than the Lunamancer has been in power. There is a reason for this." He continued, his voice wavering slightly. "I was a part of the first assault Sigeto sent against the Leviathan. It was a farce of an assault and one that likely ruined our chances for future success. Ships filled with the bravest men Sigeto had to offer sailed into the waters the beast called home. I was on one of them. The Splendor, she was called. Well, she did not look the part after that beast was through with her. I survived purely by chance. I was knocked out cold by the first strike. By the time I awoke I had drifted near to the shores of Eire. My lips were cracked from thirst, my skin blistered from the salt air... It was not a pretty sight," he recalled, a gloomy look cast over his face. "That is where I acquired this scar. My point is that I am, to my knowledge, the last surviving son of House Charleson. We were not a major house by any stretch of the imagination, but we were respected." The man looked around, as if for confirmation of his lineage. "We were dedicated to eradicating the werewolves that began to spring up at the beginning of the eclipse. People knew that of us, and I personally led patrols my father sent to help keep our lands safe. I am sure that there are at least some in the capital who recall us fondly. To know that we still survive and still fight may hearten some folk who have otherwise given up hope. Should we journey to Sigeto, I believe I could be of some help."
  12. Dru thought for a moment, deciding to let the memories of all of his battles flow to Dia. "Too much," he answered honestly. "There is so much hate and evil in the world that it is oftentimes unavoidable. However, that does not mean we should not try our utmost to avoid it. That's what our quest is," he continued. "We are trying to save people from dangers they know little about. To do that, we must fight. And in the end I am sure some of us will end up returning to the Earth once more. It is for the good of Graterras that we do this and for the sake of all the Divines."
  13. Jacob sighed as he watched Kristen walk away. Something's bugging her, but I'm not sure what. All I know is I definitely should have looked at that website beforehand. He shook his head and began walking toward the opening's venue, lost in thought the whole time. He called out Teo and Spitfyre to walk with him for some company as well as the opportunity to watch the opening ceremony of the Winter Cup. As he was moving along he noticed Kage and what appeared to be his parents walking as well. He grinned and called out to Kage, hurrying over to meet up with his roommate. "Hey, buddy!" he said happily. "Mind if I join you guys? My date decided to go prepare for the Cup some more, so I got left out in the cold so to speak."
  14. Oh how I missed hearing my mom screaming at my brother. /s

  15. Jacob turned slightly red as Kristen and James continued arguing. However, he simply continued looking at the screen. In the corner of the large monitor was the time, and it was getting really close to the beginning of the opening ceremony of the Winter Cup. Jacob was quivering with excitement and turned to Arete with a wild grin on his face. The Togetic looked just as excited despite knowing there was a chance she wouldn't even be competing. However, she was still super pumped to see her beloved Trainer and teammates duking it out against the best the Academy had to offer. Jacob then turned to James and Kristen and stepped between them with a hand out to either side. "As much as I love listening to you two argue, if we don't hurry we're going to miss the opening ceremony. And what kind of competitor would I be if I did that?"
  16. But in support of traditional (Pokemon game-like) evolution: Wouldn't it make sense that at a certain energy level the body could no longer contain that amount of energy, thus causing the Morpher virus / Morpher gene to react violently and resulting in an abrupt change in form to something larger and ostensibly more powerful?
  17. Jory heard his radio crackling and immediately scrambled to answer it, grabbing it from his tactical vest and depressing the 'Talk' button. "Robertson reporting in. We're up by the treeline. Damn giant turtle almost took us out, but General Clemont stepped in. We're all doing just fine, but, uh... Well, Lars and Logan are gone. Sleepy must've teleported them out of here before the attack came in. We're moving back to your position, over," he said into the radio. After he took his finger off the button, he swore briefly before he saw Lionel. "Glad to see you're still here. Lars and Logan got teleported away by Lars's GAO. We're oscar mike back to Surge's position to regroup. Let's move it on out," he ordered as he and Neffi began the trek back to Surge. The Corporal shook his head. "Just when Oliver needed the medic, as well."
  18. Roland nodded sadly, his eyes seeming to gaze a thousand miles away. "I understand your loss, though you may not know it. After all, not a one of us would be here had we not a reason to be." He looked pensively at the noblewoman, noting grief in her eyes as she spoke proudly. "A vendetta will only take you so far, however. The burning flame of vengeance consumes both the wielder and the foe. But the cold and calculating blade of justice is what will allow us to survive this ordeal." He put a hand on the woman's shoulder and looked up into her eyes as he spoke. "The vampires carry no such impulsive nature. They are cunning beasts and we must strike surgically and with caution." He removed his hand from the woman, not wanting to lose it to her fiery temper. "That being said, I will take heart for every leech we slay. There is little more satisfying than knowing the last thing to enter one's mind was my arrow."
  19. Dru agreed wholeheartedly with Dia's sentiment. "Yes, you are correct. However, through the Divines many are able to at least gain some understanding of this. There are still those who would seek to destroy or abuse the elements. All too many sorcerers and wizards use the spirits only as tools to their own whims. There is a greater calling for the elements than such paltry uses as war and pain, but many are unable to see this. That is why there are magic users like Flint and myself. We find that the most powerful spells are those that cooperate with the spirits instead of bending them to a separate purpose. During our travels I met a Victonari named Brass," he thought. The half-Orc focused on everything he remembered of the wise man, particularly on his teachings. "He knew the cost of not believing in what you know to be true. And in the end his faith is what saved him during the Battle of Passthrough."
  20. Roland quietly rose from his chair, gazing around the room. Three have decided to go with Ailos already, he noted. But I am not sure where that leaves me. Those rabid dogs have likely already razed my village to the ground. I have been away from home for far too long. It is high time I returned, he thought to himself as he looked toward Asgall. Then again, should I not do my utmost to prevent the same thing from happening here at the hands of the leeches? He was conflicted. I thought coming here might provide answers, but all I have found is that there are many who require my aid. Too many to help. He took a deep breath and raised his hand to his cheek, running it along the scar. He remembered being lost in a sea of flotsam, barely holding onto the splintered remains of the ship as he drifted hopelessly across the sea. He closed his eyes and took another breath. He then looked toward the woman who spoke only of honor. Childish. She is going to die if she does not learn to control her anger. With that thought, he made a decision. He approached Silef silently, his feet never making a sound as he padded lightly across the room. Finally, he spoke up. "I will join you, on one condition." He paused, making eye contact with the woman. "You must leave your vendetta here once we set out. There is no place for blind vengeance in a war against the odds."
  21. Jacob chuckled inwardly at Kristen's reaction to James, feeling somewhat sorry for the other guy for provoking her fiery temper. I'm just glad it's not me, he thought to himself as Kristen poked him hard in the chest. Then, surprisingly, James managed to keep his cool and remain polite. So, he decided to step in before the boy's odd calm managed to fan the flames. "Thanks, James. Good luck! If you end up against one of us, you're going to need it," he said with a grin. He then turned to Kristen. "I'm getting hungry. What do you say we go hunt down some food and see what everyone else is up to?"
  22. Dru grinned as the spirit inquired about the Earth. "Yes, in fact I do. Although I dislike the term 'use' when referring to the Earth. I prefer to believe that the Earth lends me its strength. I am its conduit, so to speak," he commented. "The Earth spirits you feel are the ones that I love most. They are gentle yet firm. They are what guides me in my task."
  23. For me it's the fact that there are like 300 fully evolved Pokemon. There are so many to choose from that I see no reason to keep the RP to two or three. Besides that I just don't have such an attachment to Roserade that I'm going to be the third or fourth person running around with one when I can have an Exeggutor instead.
  24. Dru was stricken with sympathy as he saw the state of the girl's life. It was not unlike my own before Flint, he thought to himself as he felt the hopelessness and despair the spirit presented him with. He pondered her final question for awhile, not saying or thinking anything as he wrestled with it in his mind. Finally, he arrived at the only answer he had. "I don't know," he answered frankly. "I have not dealt with anything like this before and I do not wish for you to be trapped on this plane of existence any longer than you have to be. I will ask Blue," he told her, sending her all his understanding of the Illithid. "Perhaps he will know more."
