  1. Sorry, that was the result of confusion. I thought Induction WAS the contract method. I'll change that. I changed it to a kind of contractual induction by a large group of magical people.
  2. {Zephyr} "That's a bold strategy, Raiza. Unfortunately for you, it'll be much harder for you to avoid our attacks now that you're in the water!" Hera took her cue from this and began peppering the water and the area just above the Sneasel with Pin Missiles. It was beginning to look like just running around and trying to avoid attacks wasn't as good a strategy as Raiza must have thought, because the Heracross still hadn't taken any damage and her Sneasel was now being pressed hard on the defensive.
  3. {Outside Announcer's Booth- Jacob, Mareek, Danielle, James, Professor Cadmus} Jacob looked up at Professor Cadmus, relieved that they'd finally gotten a hold of the busy man. "Professor Cadmus, you know Mareek and me. We're both great students and we both care about this school." Jacob looked toward Mareek and nodded, glad to have the other young man with him. "That's why we're coming to you about this. Danielle, James, Mareek, and I all have misgivings about another student. It's not because of his personality. A lot of us like him," he continued. "Do you remember that Donphan stampede? We... Well, we think it was a distraction. We think someone wanted him to get separated from the group to meet with him. Why else would a Skarmory be with him? It's not like the bird could have carried him, and they're hardly known for their compassion. We think there's an organized group trying to get into the school for some reason or another, that they gave him the Skarmory, and that they're using the Winter Cup as cover to do it. And Evan Reeves is their contact inside the school. He has an extra Poke Ball on his belt. He's keeping one of his Pokemon secret, Professor Cadmus. No one's ever seen it before. We think they gave him that one, too. He's also a loner. He's always brooding. It would make sense for them to target someone like him. We don't think he's a bad kid, Professor. We think he got mixed up in something bad and now he's in over his head. We need to help him!" he finished. "Please, at least help us look into it. And if we're wrong then we're wrong and that's our mistake, but we can't just sit by and do nothing while he makes a decision he'll regret for the rest of his life." Jacob looked to his friends, making sure he did a good job explaining the situation. He then turned back to the Professor, looking the man in the eyes and trying to tell what he made of all this. Now we just hope that he believes us. Otherwise we're on our own and Henry of all people was right, he thought to himself as he awaited the Elite Four member's response.
  4. I think I'll be the first person here to make one. Normally my characters are pretty nice and neutral good, but I've never really done a chaotic neutral. So let's Name: Alexander "Bark" Barkov Gender: Male Appearance: Stands at an athletic 6'4". Has light gray eyes. Keeps his black hair in a crew cut. Has a wide gray strip in his hair on the top left (if looking at him) side. His face is narrow and angular with a light scar running down the left side underneath the gray hair. Has a tan, weathered complexion. Usually wears a pair of blue jeans with black combat boots underneath. Favors a brown overcoat with a black collared shirt. Appearance, Transformed: His hair grows to be shoulder-length and jet black all the way through. He also becomes noticeably taller and significantly more muscular. His complexion turns a deep grey and appears to turn to stone while his eyes turn completely white. When in his transformed state, his skin becomes incredibly hard. Whatever armor and other features are projected by his transformation are mineral-based in nature (for example, obsidian or industrial grade diamond armor). The one feature that always remains the same is his basic chestplate, which appears to be made of granite and changes color based on his emotions. Personality: Very charming and pleasant on the surface, but ultimately serves no one but himself and his own radical goals. Weapons of Choice: Two large stone hammers. Only uses his pump-action shotgun in a pinch. Power Origin: Induction Faction: Deviant Backstory: To those who know it, the name "Bark" is nearly a swear unto itself. It is a name associated with deception and disloyalty. To those who know the man, the reputation is somewhat ill-conceived.He was born in Northern Alberta in the middle of nowhere. After multiple reports of bear attacks, Deputy Sheriff Alexander Barkov decided to do some investigating on his own. What he found was more than he ever imagined was possible. Before he could be killed, a group of magical people led by Logan Nolan stepped in. They managed to lead the Beast away to a safer location. And so Logan and his followers emerged victorious. Bark began his life as a magical person by being inducted by this group. However, their stipulation for such was that he join them. Oaths were sworn and vows exchanged, and Bark's potential was unlocked. Working with these Preservers, he helped bring in almost a dozen Beasts over the next few months. He was led to believe that they were being put in a safe-zone where they would be unable to harm Humans or Mediators. However, multiple unexplained disappearances in the night and people mysteriously turning up dead, their eviscerated corpses sending people into hysteria eventually got through to Bark. He realized that the Preservers didn't care that their so-called "safe zone" was too close to civilization to be effective. Remembering what it was like to be powerless against a Beast, he could not in good conscience stand by and allow them . He had protected his fellow citizens in his previous life, and so he did once more. No one heard from him for weeks. Then, one by one the members of Logan Nolan's cadre of Preservers began to turn up dead. The first that was found was a particularly gruesome sight. His sternum was crushed into his spine in a distinct hammer shape. Bark has believes that humans must be told what they are up against. To not let them protect themselves is to let them die. Bark now travels the world, making an attempt to save humans from the often violent clashes between Beasts and the oft-careless Magical People.
  5. {Conclave} Jory nodded sheepishly, pausing for a moment once they reached the floor below to lay Carissa on the desk in the Mother's office. "Yeah. That sounds like a good idea," he murmured quietly, his concern for Carissa overriding his desire to get the hell out of that building. "Shredder, watch the door," he said flatly. The Zangoose nodded and moved to stand near the stairs leading to the floor below, his claws at the ready and his ears twitching as he listened for sounds coming from the second floor of the building.
  6. {Conclave} Jory cleared his throat to get his team members' attention. "We have an injured squad member here. Let's move her down to the Pokemon Center ASAP," he said curtly. He gently lifted her off the ground, cradling her in his arms as he cocked his head toward the stairs and indicated they should get moving. Shredder walked in front of his Trainer, leading the way down the stairs and back into the Conclave.
  7. Very much this. Obviously as the host and co-hosts we all communicate. Just be aware that when events are started specifically for a character (as in this case), there's generally some idea on our end of what's going to happen. Now there's always room for innovation and, as in Raiza's case with the aerial maneuvers, sometimes we're taken by surprise in a pleasant way. I know you fixed it this time, but in the future please try to be cognizant of the face that everything we do has a rhyme and reason to it. At least give it a chance before you try to squirm your way out. Also, no one else said this so maybe it's not a bad thing but generally you should let people post while your characters are "in transit" like Eve just was.
  8. {Important Action- Arthur and Zander} "Right. Let's meet up later and talk about what we found." Arthur then took off after the samurai. What a jerk. It's not like he introduced himself either, he thought to himself as he watched the strangely dressed man from around a corner. Once the man was far enough along, Arthur followed. He made sure to obscure himself from the odd man's sight, but to any casual observer he would have been simply toward the exit of the hotel in the same direction. I wonder where he's off to in such a rush, he pondered. As he watched the samurai leave, the guy bumped into another student. I know her from somewhere, but I can't remember her name, he thought to himself. I'll keep watching and see what happens.
  9. I changed mine right after posting it. It was initially Jory telling Adam "Definitely drop her she's a crazy motherfucker"
  10. {Conclave} The moment the Hypno released Carissa, Jory sprinted toward her. He dropped to his knees and propped her head up with his arm, looking down into her eyes. "Shh... I'm here. Everything's okay," he said calmly, stroking her hair to reassure the girl. He then looked up at the Conclave Mother. As she spoke with Adam, he couldn't help but feel a sense of elation wash over him when he realized the Mother was, in fact, about to die. "I hope you survive the fall long enough to suffer like this city," he said harshly. Then she fell, and the only thing that mattered any longer was getting Carissa to safety.
  11. {Zephyr} Alvin smirked as the Sneasel took to the air once more. Perfect, he thought, his shit-eating grin only growing wider as Rogue left the ground. "You really shouldn't have let me distract you like that, Raiza. Your defenses are down!" Hera looked back to Alvin and nodded, cocking both arms back and taking careful aim at her opponent. "Now, activate our strategy! Smack Down and Focus Blast volley!" Alvin shouted. The Heracross fired a glowing white sphere directly into the Sneasel's parabolic arc with the full intent of intercepting the Dark-Ice type and sending her crashing into the water. Hera then fired a Focus Blast at the platform the Sneasel was aiming for, taking out a huge chunk of the landing surface. "You're finished!" Alvin bragged.
  12. {Jacob and Mareek} The Trainer began to protest, but then shut his mouth as he realized that with Danielle's natural ditziness and James's habit of hiding in dark corners, it was no small surprise that no one else had gotten there. He scratched the back of his head, grinning sheepishly. "Yeah, well... You know, I can't really argue with you. But with that said, Avis is really good at finding people. Uncannily good, actually. It's almost like she's taking orders from someone who knows where everyone is at all times. Like a robot or something," he trailed off. His head then perked back up. "Anyway, I guess I'll just wait here with you," he said before taking a seat against the wall. Spitfyre continued eating his snack, blissfully unaware of the Porygon2's machinations. He did give the duck-looking thing a once-over, thinking that it looked somewhat familiar. Realizing that it was the same Porygon he defeated in battle not too long ago he simply kept eating, not overly concerned about its presence.
  13. I adjusted my DN ranked deck to have a few more Extra Deck cards. Then I dueled someone. My field at the end of my third turn was Armored Kappa with 2400 def, Abyss Splash, Poseidra, and Gishilnodon and my opponent's life points were 0. I love Atlanteans.
  14. {Jacob and Mareek} Jacob arrived at the announcers' booth, Spitfyre in tow. The Charmeleon was snacking on something, but it had become so charred by his breath that it was unrecognizable. However, the Fire-type didn't seem to care. In fact, it appeared he enjoyed it, slowly chewing as if to savor the crispy burnt texture. His Trainer waved at Mareek as he approached, a light grin on his face. "Hey, Mareek. How's it going?" he asked despite it only having been a few minutes since the two last saw each other. He didn't even wait for a response, diving right into his experience getting to where they were. "All my Pokemon were hungry, so I had to stop and get them something to eat. I guess with the battles going on they're burning a bit more energy than usual, so I can't really blame them for wanting a quick snack. Glad to see you got here quickly, though," he continued. "Although I assume since you're out here and not in there and there's a distinct lack of Dragon Master Elite Four members here, Professor Cadmus stepped out for a bit," he finished.
  15. What is the active ingredient in rainbows?

  16. Just clarifying. I had no idea where he was lol Also, just wanted to let you all know that any posts I make with a red title are NPCs being controlled by me. A yellow title means it's Jacob (my PC), and if there's another color I use then I'll be sure to let you know what it means. EDIT: Zephyr, your update will come tomorrow. Too tired to think of ways to screw you over to think of a battle.
  17. Zerron, is Mareek waiting outside the announcers' booth?
  18. {Important Action} Arthur shook his head, not willing to take no for an answer. "Look, I'm sorry if I offended you, but this is really important to us. Are you sure there's nothing you know that could help us find out more?" he asked as he tapped his foot impatiently. Normally I'd be pretty down to stay and chat for a bit, but that incident in the cafeteria has me all riled up, he thought to himself. That's something that's never going to fade, though. That spoiled brat needs to be taught a lesson in respect and humility, he fumed.
  19. I did indeed mean the ice behind Hera. And Henry is everyone's favorite curmudgeon with a heart of gold.
  20. Zephyr Alvin laughed, shaking his head. "How much longer do you think you'll be able to keep on running? Hera can stand around and watch you get faster all day, but at the end of the day once you get close enough to strike you're finished!" he said eagerly. He then pointed to the field, his next move already in motion. "Let's put them on the defensive! Use your special attacks!" he encouraged. Hera put her fists together, a bright orange ball of energy forming between them. She fired it at the wall and it exploded, blowing the ice wall apart with ease. Even before the Focus Blast impacted, Hera began thrusting her arms forward once more, releasing a volley of Pin Missiles over the icy rubble that was beginning to accumulate on the surface of the watery battlefield.
  21. {Important Action} Arthur looked the man up and down, raising his eyebrows at his lofty tone. Are you serious? he thought, his face showing his distaste. No sense in being hostile, though. "You may, actually. We were looking for any duelists who might have come through here recently. Maybe someone who wasn't exactly clear about what they're doing in town." He took another glance at the man's armor. What a weird outfit. But I guess that's just fashion these days, he thought as he cracked a light grin and chuckled softly. "Would you know anything about something like that?"
  22. Zephyr Alvin hadn't expected the Sneasel to be able to pull off such an acrobatic stunt. When it came time to respond to the attack, he was immediately put on the defensive. "Hera, fire your Pin Missiles to slide on the ice!" the Trainer shouted. The Heracross nodded and began shooting glowing green projectiles at the ice rapidly, the energy from the blasts sending her skidding to safety having only been grazed by the attack. Alvin grinned cockily. "Now, Hera, redirect to hit that Sneasel!" His Pokemon began firing Pin Missiles at the Sneasel as the ice behind her began to crack.
