Articuno...

Flapped it's massive wings hard, shooting upward into the sky and avoiding the Rock snake's attack by a few meters... though the attack had been enough to distract it for a few moments, and the thick frost that had been moving towards the group now retreated as the temperature began to rise a little down below. the bird opened it's mouth, a sphere of pale blue light forming there...

but it's focus was again stolen as a bolt of electricity struck the side of it's face, stunning the muscles there and leaving it unable to close it's mouth for a few moments... it stared down angrily at where the bolt had come from, and began to flap it's wings, a small funnel of air forming in front of it, growing into a twister and quickly winding it's way down towards Erick and Logan...

------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------

Erick called out to Virtue as the Twister approached, drawing nearer and nearer with each second. "Get a barrier up in front of us!" he ordered. Virtue's eye's blazed scarlet as the air began to ripple and took on a light violet hue in a spherical shape, surrounding Erick, Logan, and the General as the Twister closed in and collided against the surface of it, a sharp whistling sound could be heard as several small shrubs nearby were torn out of the ground and pulled into the funnel... along with a cracking sound. Erick looked up to see that the Barrier was beginning to fail, hairline cracks appearing in it's surface and beginning to spread gradually... then the Twister dissapated and the cracks stopped spreading as from some where nearby, a torrent of hot flames shot up from the ground and up towards Articuno, who managed to move out of the way of the attack, but had to shift it's concentration from attacking to evading, resulting in it not being able to sustain the twister. Erick called out more commands as the barrier faded away. "Another Electric attack!" he called, his Beldum obeying and again starting to rotate, a familiar rrrrrrrr.... sound being heard as it picked up speed and began glowing in a faint yellow hue.

Lars ran forward, rushing into the fray of the battle. He released both of his GAOs, Sleepy once again appearing in his arms, the rifle slung across his back. He called out to Dominance by his feet.

"Hit it with your needles!"

The Nidoran nodded, responding without resistance. He supposed it could recognize the severity of the situation as well, and knew that now was the time to listen. It hunched its back, poisonous needles shooting upward towards the giant bird. Lars turned to Sleepy, again unsure if he was sleeping or not. He had started to suspect that it didn't really matter, and some sort of instinct allowed it to defend itself in its slumber.

"Sleepy, try to get into its mind and distract it!" He looked again at the Abra, unsure if it had heard him. Eventually, the area around its closed eyes began to glow a light blue. Lars supposed it was trying something...

The bird was trying the find where that torrent of fire had come from, when another arc of electricty hit the side of it's face, this time right on the eyelid. it let out a harrowing screech as it snap it's eye shut quickly, feeling a searing, tingling pain there... then it let out another screech as several small objects hit it's other eye, forcing it to snap it shut as well as a similar pain erupted there. now blind and in a rage, it flew through the air aimlessly, screeching like a banshee and haphazardly unleashing bolts of blue energy from it's maw which hit random spots on the ground below and caused layers of ice to form where they hit their mark... it felt something trying to probe it's mind, but in it's furious state, the presence was easily cast out...

Sid rolls out of the way of the Articuno's icy beam attack as he fires his riffle. "Smoke, fire those bubbles" the small sea horse comply. "Vicious you're up,electrocute that icy bird and get back here ASAP" Sid release Luxio from its capsule, it runs through the snowy field gracefully. It gains momentum with every step as Luxio runs faster and faster until he's just a ball of lightning. Vicious' body was surging with current of electricity, He leaps into the air and tackling the icy bird,He then returns to Sid side after that attack.

Lionel jumped out of the black haze that Shadow created. He saw that Logan was taking care of the general. Great...the strongest of us all taken down. "Buddy, fire your water attack at that bird! Shadow, use your wing attack and strike!"

Articuno

Articuno felt as something wet it's chest feathers. it didn't know what it was, but it wasn't painful, and so it simply ignored it.... what it could not ignore, however, is when it felt something slam into it's stomach with electrified force. it let out another screech as it fired a beam of energy towards where it thought the object that had struck it would be, barely missing Viscous as it came back down to the ground to stand next to Sid again. shortly after that bout, it felt another blast of water on it's chest, this one a little more force full, but not enough to where it wouldn't be able to just brush it off... then something hard slamed into it's cheek, Shadow Cawed as he went in for another strike, only for Articuno's own wing to glow a pale white and swing up and knock him clear out of the sky, sending him unconscious and tumbling down to the ground by Lionel's feet. the black bird was still seemingly alive dispite the fall, but it was obvious from looking at it's broken form on the icy ground that it would need some serious medical attention to prevent it's condition from taking a turn for the worst.

the attacks seemed to just keep coming and coming, because the next thing the blinded avian felt was another weak blast of electricity hit it's cheek, again paralyzing the muscles there and temporarily preventing it from being able to open it's mouth and fire off another beam...

Nathan saw that the bird was struggling to stay aloft after the relentless barrage of attacks. Now's our chance. "Charmeleon, hit the wings with some fire!" The red lizard skittered into a good position to attack from, and unleashed a torrent of flames from his mouth.

Clint couldn't help but feel a little ticked off after Pimparella's failed attempt to get itself wrapped around the bird's wings. He started firing his Beretta at the creature's wing, while shouting "Pimparella throw a rock at it, get that thing on the ground!" The Onix obeyed as it reared it's tail around and launched one of the rocks at the end of it's tail directly at the birds chest.

Articuno

Damn these humans... they just wouldn't stop... Articuno could feel it's strength slowly draining away... and then it felt as searing pain erupted across the surface of it's wings as a torrent of fire hit it's mark perfectly, engulfing it's feathers in a hot fire as it felt another hard object slamed into it's chest and several of it's ribs snapping like twigs. in pain, burning, and now severely injured beyond recovery, the fiend fell from the sky like a star, it's pale blue and white feathers glinting in the light of the fire engulfing it's body as the snow storm it had conjured stopped. it hit the ground with a massive crash! where it lay in a heap, flapping about on the thawing earth as the inferno began to consume more and more of it's body. Surge stepped forward out of the bushes, gun raised at the creature as he called out

"Fox 1, Stand down!" he yelled as he advanced on the beast with infantry following behind him. Surge looked down at the flareon and simply nodded, and without any commands having to be exchanged, Infantry ran up to the bird and leapt atop it's chest and into the infernal flames billowing there, the GAOs body glowing red as it's fire ability activated. it turned in an about face towards surge, awaiting the kill command. "lose control." he said simply, a moment after wards, Infantry raised it's maw sky ward and let out a far fiercer roar than one would have expected from it, a sphere of spiraling flames erupting from it's glowing body and bursting outward in a wide radius explosion, igniting an inferno that soon engulfed that entire area of the atrium as Surge and all of Fox 1 looked on.

the bird was dead. there was no question about it this time. nothing would be able to survive such a merciless barrage. Surge took out another capsule from his fatigue vest pocket. it contained the GAO partner of a soldier who'd been killed in the fight for the side gates. Surge had picked it up after finding it on the ground by his feet whilst walking through the gruesome scene down below. He'd seen the soldier toss it out a few times before, and knew that it had the ability to cause rain fall whenever it was released, which he figured would come in handy to stop this fire from destroying the atrium. he pulled back his arm, pressing the trigger and flinging it up into the air, where it burst in an explosion of white light and released a strange, Green bi-pedal toad like GAO (Politoad) as the sky became dark and a heavy rain began to fall, quickly extinguishing the fire and revealing Infantry, fur soaked and hanging down in wet clumps on it's body, snarling at some strange pink blob like creature that lay in a puddle on the thawed, muddy ground unresponsively. Surge recalled the Politoad into it's capsule, not bothering to give it any commands; not like it would obey him. He then turned and glanced back at the squadron as the rain stopped falling "Fox1..." he began, then turned in an about face, his blonde hair and red beret soaked through, along with the shoulders of his fatigues. a smirk was on his face.

"Mission accomplished."

Jory stood, his hands shaking on his rifle. He'd frozen up just as the attack commenced. All he'd been able to think about was what had happened to Erick and Surge's GAOs during the first battle he'd ever witnessed. Sampson... Neffi... I can't let that happen to them... he'd thought to himself as he stood still throughout the fight. Sampson had nudged him, but was unable to move his trainer until the bird went down. As Surge seemed to be celebrating, Jory hung his head in shame. If any of his squadmates had needed him, he would have failed them.

Lionel stood there, shivering. Shadow lied in front of him. There was blood...too much blood. It was hard for him to look at the gruesome scene. Why? Why did I command him to attack when he was at a disadvantage? "H-hold on, Shadow, I'll get help... Buddy, can you watch Shadow?" The once sleepy eyes were now full of worry. Buddy nodded, and that was enough for Lionel to dash off. Logan was taking care of the general, and Lionel knew that Logan could take care of humans, but he wasn't sure that he could also do that with Pokemon. Damn... What am I to do... WHAT AM I TO DO? He was so upset and confused that he was just walking around in circles. When he realised this, he went back to his GAOs, and kneeled in front of the broken figure of his black bird. "I...I am so sorry Shadow. I failed you... I wasn't able to keep you safe... But, why of all GAOs... Did this happen to you? Why? WHY?" Lionel yelled, tears streaming over his cheeks.

Ray jogged over to where Lionel stood above Shadow's broken form on the ground. He'd stayed back and let the squad handle the battle, while taking mental notes on the ice birds behavior the whole time. "Lionel," he began, urgency in his voice. he knew that treatment would be required for Shadows wounds, and fast "Recall Shadow to his capsule, that'll put him in a stasis and stop him from being able to feel the pain for a while. Then come with me down to the Med ward, we have to act fast, time isn't on Shadow's side."

with that, the Doctor hurried over to the elevator and thumbed the button for the ground floor, glancing back over at the young soldier as he waited for the cabin to come.

Lionel knew that what the doctor told him to do was the right thing. "Shadow...please...hold on for me...for us..." he said as he recalled his Murkrow. "Buddy, I want you to stay here for the time being. If someone needs me, for whatever purpose, just take him to the medical ward, ok? I'll most likely be there." Buddy nodded, and Lionel knew it would be alright. He remembered the first moment he saw this GAO. He thought that the hippo-like creature was weak. Soon, he changed his mind. Buddy was very good in both defending and attacking from afar. And what other people didn't know was that he was also intelligent. Not as intelligent as Shadow was, is, but intelligent enough. "I'm counting on you, Buddy." was the last thing he said to him before running off to the elevator.

Logan had been applying first aid to the General during the entire battle with the giant bird. His GAO stood by in case the bird would come their way, but the rest of his squad handled it pretty well. Meanwhile Logan was able to stop the bleeding and put a bandage around the General’s head. “Can someone help me get the General to the med ward? He needs further attention,” Logan said while grabbing the General under his arms.

"Freeman," Surge ordered loudly "Help Walker carry the general"

"Yes sir." Erick replied, taking the General's other arm across his shoulder and taking some of the man's weight off of Logan's

"Good, now then," Surge continued on, reaching down and retrieving the blob like creature near Infantry, bringing the gelatinous organism in his hand and examining it, unphased as two beady black eyes appeared in the pink glob and peered up at him. "We should get back to the-"

"What... what happened?" asked McCarthy groggily, coming to and finding himself propped up by Freeman and Walker. he shrugged the two off immeditely.

"Glad to see you're awake, sir." Surge said rather cheerfully, tossing the pink blob over to him. McCarthy caught it a bit clumsily, it seemed that head injury may have effected his motor skills a little... "Mission accomplished." Surge continued on as McCarthy stared down at the blob, which started to squirm in his grip, attempting to break free of it's captor's hold. in response McCarthy decided to squeeze it harder, and it soon got the message that it was best to stop trying to get away.

"G-Good." he stammered, his mind was a bit foggy at the moment, but it was beginning to clear up. he looked around at the squadron of rookie soldiers, noticing that two certain individuals who should've been present here, weren't.

"Where's Dr.Ray and Professor Oak?" he asked the squad

***************

"Do it." Lt. Chang ordered his GAO partner, a member of the species known as Blissey. The large, Ovaloid creature obeyed immediately, it's body glowing in a teal hue as waves of light began emanating off it's body and filling the med ward as a soothing bell chime echoed out, though from where, no one knew. a few seconds later, many of the comatose soldiers laying in the various cots throughout the ward began to stir, finally breaking free of the grips of their perpetual slumber.

"Quite the interesting ability," Sergeant Wellus admitted, gripping the wool blanket wrapped around his shoulders and pulling it closer in to his body. "Guess I owe you both an apology and a thank you then" he continued "you weren't lying when you said your partner could reverse any affliction... my ass and the asses of so many other soldiers standing here would be screwed if it hadn't been for you."

Chang said nothing to that. he never cared much for flattery or people who were overly Gratuitous, he'd simply done what he needed to do out in the snow field. he'd seen the frozen carnage that had fallen onto his comrades, and had acted to stop it by giving his GAO an appropriate command. though, he guessed he could put with it a little in this case... he had just not only saved hundreds of his comrades who were in peril of freezing to death, but also broken the comas of several fellow soldiers as well, after all.

"Your welcome." he finally said, deciding he'd humor them just this once as he recalled his Blissey, the GAO shrinking down in a glow of scarlet and then whipping back into the capsule in his hand like a tape measurer.

Across the ward, a young olive skinned woman sat up on her cot, her mind foggy with sleep.

"Wh...Where am I...?" Enyo asked herself. She took a look around the space, realizing this must be the Med ward. her hand brushed against the slot in her uniform's belt where she usually stored her GAOs capsules, and she immediately knew something was wrong. Damn it... She thought to herself as she stared down and confirmed what her hand had already told her...

her Capsules were gone.

  • 3 weeks later...

Lars looked down at Dominance and Sleepy. Both were uninjured for the most part, something he was definitely grateful for.

"Looks like we made it out okay guys," he said to them with a grin. He recalled them to their capsules before walking over to Surge.

"Where will we be headed once we're done wrapping up here?" he asked offhandedly, unsure of what else to say at such a moment.

Sid was surprised they won and to top it all that, they're all alive. The former thug turn soldier couldn't help his outburst of joy. "Fuck yeah! That's what im talking about! nobody messes with America!" Sid held Luxio up high as he swings him around in joy. Sid notice his recent sparing partner Jory a bit gloom like something is bothering him after the fight. "Ei cheer up man, we've won!" Sid cheerfully said as he continues to celebrate.

"We might as well head back down to the Medical wing." Surge said, answering Lars's rather offhanded question, all the while ignoring Sid's little outburst. he then paused for a moment, debating whether or not he'd go into detail; the reason they would head to the med ward would be because a squad member was still down there in a coma... Yes, he'd refrained from speaking about it earlier on, but that was solely because their was a crucial mission looming over them. He knew from past experience to not burden team members with emotional baggage that might preoccupy their minds during an operation. But still, these Cadets, no, excuse him, these Soldiers had been training and living together for six months now. anyone of them should've noticed at some point that one of their team members was missing. they could try to use their focusing on the fight as an excuse, but this entire mission hadn't been made up solely of heated combat; it had actually been a bit of a long jog from the Medical Wings to the Elevator to the roof.

He had to admit, he was more than a little disappointed, and worried, that they apparently had all failed to make that observation, one that would've been absolutely crucial for them to notice if they'd actually been out in the field, and not on base, where the chance of someone being captured and turned into POW or tortured or interrogated by an Enemy was not as existent. Yes, while it was technically true that the US was not currently at war, and had not been for a good thirty years or so, that didn't matter to Surge, his job as a Sergeant and the leader of his Squadron was to think about how the team would preform if war did break out and they were sent off to fight for their country.

"I-" he began, about to voice these concerns, but he stopped himself short. Maybe he'd been too hasty in thinking that none of them had noticed Greyjoy's absence... some of them, and by some he specifically thought of a few in particular, like Erick or maybe Logan, had actually taken note of it and had chosen not to say anything at the time, perhaps even thinking that Surge himself most certainly already knew of the missing soldier, yet had a good reason for not saying anything about it; perhaps someone here had noticed and had decided to simply trust in Surge's reasons and withheld the information that he himself had.

there's one way to find out... Surge thought to himself as he bellowed out.

"Fox 1, About Face!"

Instantly the squad of young soldiers obeyed, each of them silent and at Attention within an instant, Even Sid, who had stopped his little victory celebration and now stood facing Surge at Attention, quieter than Surge had ever heard him.

"Fox 1," he Continued on, beginning to pace back and forth with his hands tucked behind his back, in true Drill Sergeant fashion "There are 11 individuals in total in this Squadron. Now, I want you to answer this, aside from Lionel, who went to the Med Ward in order to have his Partner's wounds tended, are there any members of this team who are currently absent. Do not look around at each other, do not try to get a count, just answer the question."

As soon as he was done speaking, Erick spoke up, not to any surprise of Surge, however. Erick was the son of soldier afterall, so of course his father would've instilled the concepts of the value of working together and being observant from an early age. noticing that someone was missing was probably something he did subconsciously by now, without having to give any real thought to it or taking a head count.

"Enyo Greyjoy is the only one currently Absent aside from Lionel." he said simply "In addition, sir, she also was absent when we were arming ourselves for the mission, as well as when we were proceeding to the objective location."

"You are correct, Freeman," Surge Replied in a flat voice, devoid of either approval of disapproval. "Now, answer me this, Why is it that you noticed her absence from early on in this operation, yet chose to refrain from speaking about the matter?"

Erick had nothing that would be nice to answer that question with. What, was he really the only one who'd noticed? Was Surge really ignorant of the fact that Enyo was missing until a few moments ago? if he was, it was damned pathetic in Erick's opinion, it was Surge's squadron, he was the CO, not Erick. being able to tell whether or not someone was missing was a basic job skill someone of Surge's rank and responsibilities should have already had. but you know what? it was fine. Maybe surge was doing this to try and start tension between Erick and few of the others on the team, he'd done several times already during the past six months, but always it had been more subtle than this.

Fine Erick thought to himself I won't bullshit the reason then, I'll tell them why I didn't say anything...

"Well, sir..." he finally Answered "I noticed that she was missing, and thought that Surely if I had made this observation then you would've done the same long before I did. So it was that as the Mission went on and you did not bring up the matter to the team, I trusted that you had some legitimate, Crucial reason for not doing so, and I in turn refrained myself from bringing the matter up." he stopped himself at that. he had wanted to add in the comment 'Was I wrong in that trust, sir?' in order to save time and put Surge right on the spot if this was indeed another tension building exercise; However, it wouldn't do to speak so obviously out of line with the General standing right beside him... and what he had said would be more than enough to put Surge on the spot anyway. he'd probably just go ahead and say that Erick was exactly right, try to save himself from being humiliated in front of his Squad. but Erick would know if he was lying or not when he said it, and he would know whether or not Surge was feeling Foolish or humiliated by the failed attempt, which only the two of them would even know had been one. and so long as he knew that he'd made Surge feel like a fool, so long as he noticed the pause or the way he squinted his brow that would mean he was taken off guard by the answer, then Erick would be perfectly happy with that.

"You're absolutely right, Freeman," Surge answered instantly

Of course you're gong to lie about it to try to save yourself from having to admit your wrong... Erick thought to himself as Surge spoke, only noticing a few seconds later how fast the answer had come from him. Looks like he had misread the situation; Surge hadn't been trying anything when he'd asked him that direct and pointed question moments ago. maybe it was time Erick start putting a little more trust in the Sergeant...

"Now then," surge continued on, turning his attention to the rest of the Squad as Erick pondered "By show of hands, how many of you also noticed Greyjoy's abscence?"

((only a few members of the team would've noticed her abscence, given the situation. so only the next two people to respond to this post will be able to have it so that their character raises their hands; everyone else just keep their hands down. it's on a first come, first serve basis. Talking isn't really necessary)).

Surge looked around as only Jory and Logan raised their hands. His disappointment and worries came back at that moment, but before he could speak, the General began rebuking him for wasting time with this matter.

"Enough with this," McCarthy ordered. "So long as one person notices in the field, that's enough, because that one person can then alert the rest of the squad. Team work does not mean being able to know where your comrades are at every waking moment..." the tone of the elevator doors opening was heard as McCarthy walked over and thumbed the down button, then turning his attention back to the Sqaud. "What it does mean, is being able to communicate with you team mates. I suggest you all remember that. now enough about this, let's go deliver our news to everyone down in the Medical wing."

With that said, he stepped in, followed by Fox1. the Doors slid shut the moment Surge stepped into the car, and soon the group was shooting back down toward the ground level.

***************

"that... was too damn close," Caraway muttered breathlessly. Rowan and Oak lay on the ground nearby. The three of them and their GAOs had been no match for whatever the hell had attacked them, it was a miracle they'd been able to escape, but Caraway couldn't help but think about what it had cost them...

There was no other way... Clemont said Telepathically, startling Caraway as he sent the thought directly into his mind. Caraway refused to believe that, however. The fight had gone down hill after that thing's eyes had taken on a weird Violet hue, They'd figured out quickly that they would never last against it. and so Rowan, Oak, and Himself had tried to Recall their GAOs and get out of there, except there'd been one problem... The Recall Function wouldn't work properly. it would just sputter out as soon it made contact. And just when they thought they were all screwed, for some reason Carraway's partner had blown some strange gust of wind at Clemont, which had sent him flying back through the air towards the three of them, and as soon as Clemont had collided with them, they had all teleported here... wherever the hell 'here' was... and their partners, well, only his and Rowan's, had been left behind.

They both demanded that I leave them there and save the three of you. Clemont continued. I didn't want to simply leave them behind either, but they wouldn't be persuaded otherwise. So We concocted a plan; You Partner, Splinte, broke the effect that kept me trapped in combat, and sent me flying towards you as a result. as soon as I was close enough, I carried out my part-

"And got us out of there," Caraway interrupted. He felt a type of sadness, him and his Skarmory, Splinte, he named him, had been Partnered together since he'd been reassigned to the GAOWP, and the thought that he might not see it alive again was drumming in the back of his mind, driving up his already many worries, one of which being that a Traitor had escaped and was no where to be found.

"Where are we?" he asked suddenly. What was done was done now, there's no way to undo the past. Caraway knew this, and he forced himself to push Splinte to the back of his mind and focus on the current situation. Clemont responded in his mind nearly immediately.

In a Linens closet on the ground floor, connected to the Medical Wing. the door is over there.

Clemont didn't have to point, he simply sent a mental nudge into Caraway's mind to look in that direction. a moment later the soldier walked over Oak and Rowan, still on the floor, though they were beginning to come around, and tried the handle. it was locked at first, but a teal hue engulfed the brass handle and a moment later the door swung open, revealing the Medical Ward and the many Soldiers assembled their, all of them listening to some speech the General was giving and applauding and whistling and cheering when he was done. Behind him he could spot Surge and a few Cadets, apparently this whole gathering had something to do with them.

*****************

Time: 11:34 AM

Location: Conference room 2A, Command Central, Fort Bexley, USA

"And that finishes my Report, Sir," Surge said, sitting back down at his spot at the table. after the General had lead them back to the Ward and delivered the news that the Bird was dead, he'd collected Lionel and Dr.Ray and had then stolen the Squad away from the celebrations that were breaking out and taken them directly to a Conference room for Surge to file his Mission report, they'd left so fast that They hadn't even noticed Enyo approaching them, and she had had to catch them in the corridor. and Oak and Rowan had popped in shortly after that and had explained what had happened to them to the entire group (and had been a bit too excited about it, honestly...)

"Very well then," McCarthy said. "Professor, Unveil the new development."

Oak said nothing as he stood and proceeded to the front of the long rectangular table, Clemont at his side. he held out his right palm, and a steel tray of red and white Capsules appeared in his hand with a flash of white light. they looked exactly the same as any other Capsules.

"You all may be unaware of this," He began. "But up until now, there was a very complicated process of sealing a GAO within a Capsule. it required tranquilizing it and then running it through a massive machine, which was almost always much easier said than done. But now... that may no longer be the case." he picked up one of the capsules in his hand

2443b278d1621b6f72d431b6b2554976.jpg

And tapped the button in the center of the ping-pong sized device. a second later, it was the size of a soft ball.

"You all know by now that Capsules can be shrunk down by tapping the trigger," he continued. "so I won't bother explaining that. Up until now, it was Impossible to Capture a GAO directly with a Capsule, but as of now, that is no longer an issue." his eyes then scanned the room, falling on each of the Squad members but not lingering on them for more than a few seconds. that is, until he got to Erick.

"Erick," he said, addressing the young man out of the blue "Sent out your Beldom."

He complied without a word, reaching to his belt and pulling out the ball, bringing it to full size in his palm before holding down the trigger, causing the Sphere to split into two and hinge open, a burst of white light erupting from it. His GAO simply floated in the air, shifting it's single scarlet eye to look around the room at everything.

"Good!" Oak shouted as he reeled his arm back and threw the capsule in his hand. it hurtled towards Erick's beldum, only for the GAO to turn around, suddenly aware of what it assumed to be an attack. the Claws on the bottom of it's body took on a metallic glow without Erick ordering it, and it swiped it's entire cylindrical form through the air as the Sphere closed in, knocking it of it's course and sending it hurtling towards Clemont now. It landed atop the Foxman's head and bounced off, opening up a second later, a stream of white light pouring out of it and engulfing him. within seconds, Clemont was broken down into an energy form and reeled into the center of the capsule, at which point it promptly snapped shut and fell to the floor.

Oak just stood there speechless, scratching his head.

"that... that did not go as planned..." he finally managed to say. just then the Trigger of the Sphere glowed with an intense dark blue, and the capsule burst open in another eruption of White light, producing Clemont once more. Surprisingly, the hyper-intelligent GAO didn't seem the least bit angered by what had just occured. Erick still apologized for his Beldum's actions though.

"Well..." Oak began, continuing the discussion. "as you can see, these new model of Containment Capsules are quite capable of direct capture. We had already planed to take them out and further test them later on in the day... but then the attack happened. And well...you all saved the base, so, you'll have the honor of being the group to field test them." as soon as the sentence left his mouth, a cart full of Capsules appeared behind him. it was becoming obvious that Clemont was teleporting objects into the room as they were needed. without Oak having to say anything, The Alakazam used telekinesis and picked up three Minimized capsules at a time from the cart, hovering each set over to a member of the squad around the table. When the spheres had all been handed out, both the tray still in Oak's hand and the cart behind him disappeared once again.

"If there are no questions," Rowen said, picking up the explanation. "then I do believe this meeting is adjoined."

"that it is." Agreed McCarthy. "you're dismissed. but meet at the Western side Gate in ten minutes to begin the Capsule testing. you all should know where it is." with that, him, Surge,Ray, Rowan, and Oak all got up and left the conference room, soon disappearing in various directions down the corridor, leaving the Squad alone in the chamber.

when Kenny received his Empty Capsules, he put them in his Pocket for safekeeping. He then headed over to the Western Side gate, and waited for the other Squad Members to arrive.

Lionel was kind of forced to leave the ward, to leave Shadow behind for the time being. However, before he went to the meeting, he looked for Buddy and found him. Lionel didn't really pay attention to the meeting, as all of his thoughts went out to Shadow. Even when he received the capsules, he was down. He put two of them in his pocket, and held one tight with him. He couldn't replace Shadow, but he would need a second GAO...

After the meeting, he followed Kenny to the Western Side gate.

Logan was excited when he saw the new capsules and heard their new mission. He was looking forward to a new team member, when he realized what he would get the poor thing into.

He could only hope Ace and Crush would behave as he followed Lionel to the Western Side Gate.

Lars looked at the three capsules in front of him. It pained him to know that he would be taking animals away from their habitat for combat purposes, but then again, these weren't normal animals anymore, were they? No, these were creatures that could easily hurt or kill humans, and he was taking on the job of taming them. There was definitely a good side to this that could balance out the bad. He wondered what other sorts of mutations had taken place, and what sort of new partners he would find. He left in the direction of the Western Side Gate, meeting with those already there and awaiting the arrival of the others.
