Once everybody who wants up makes it to the roof, Lexiel pulls the fire escape up, using a couple of summoned goblins for extra muscle if need be.  She then makes her way to the roof.  "I am Lexiel.  Hm.  Unless the police have eyes in the sky, we should probably head North a ways.  The buildings look tightly packed enough for those of us who can't fly to make it.  The police might question people in the neighboring buildings, and we don't want to get swept up for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Uh, I'm not able to resist arrest.  Or let anyone else resist arrest.  So lets not make that matter."

"Agreed! On me, I don't have any bridges in my pocket, so you will all have to learn good following habits like how to not fall into the abyss!"

Psymund goes the way north, leaping and using that second jump of his to move further and faster.

Woops...

Edmond looked up as someone introduced themselves. An angel? Hmm. We had another of those somewhere, didn't we...

"Nice to meet you."

He turned his attention towards the pen-like object. There was nothing of note on the outside, and it seemed to be made of fairly cheap plastic. Probably hiding something inside. He stuck it in his pocket for further investigation at a later time.

He stood up, and heard another unfamiliar voice. The owner seemed to be of the rather impulsive variety.

"It might be reasonable to wait a moment, don't you think? We have many experienced people here, so it might be best to come to a consensus before we actually decide where to go..."

"Time is of the essence," Lexiel agrees, even as she has her goblins thoroughly case the roof.  After all, there was something useful hidden in the alley, and as long as the goblins are here she might as well use their natural talent for scavenging.

"As we are on introducing ourselves; my name is Visrii, Blackflame Visrii.

In any case, we should be moving together. If the Royal Guard here aren't anything like back in Stravaga, they'll be actually competent."

Visrii jumps north after Psymund.

Izumi Kurosawa, Rooftops

Holding the wire by the sheath, Izumi lets out a sigh, rising a foot off the ground as she does so. Glancing around, she floats up to the roof run along behind Halley, best not to draw too much attention up here, not any more than the damn uniform would already. As she does so, she scans the skies and her surroundings, looking, not just for any witnesses and cameras, but also for birds, where there any birds in the skies here?

((Apologies for my tardiness, I neglected to check this forum at all today))

Theo is surprised at the sudden change in scenery, but goes along with it. He follows the others onto the rooftops, where he finds himself lacking in the speed necessary to keep up.

"Yo, slow down fellas! Not all of us can fly!"

Izumi would find no cameras or potential witnesses in the cloudy skies, unless she was paranoid enough to find the blank staring of the pigeons disturbing.

Lexiel's horde of goblins suceeded in securing a single black bag, that seems to be completely identical to the one Psymund had mined, although this one seems to have something larger inside of it.

It is also covered in grime and there are traces of barbeque sauce where the goblins had handled it.

Edmond watched as the angel, Lexiel, summoned a troupe of some form of creature. In addition to assisting with pulling up the fire escape, they had found an auspicious looking black bag hidden amongst the piles of rubbish.

"Huh. Odd that something like that would be under a pile of trash...What do you think might be inside of it?"

After saying this, he followed the group to the rooftop off to the north

Izumi Kurosawa; Rooftops, Northbound

As a pale dove fades in upon her arm, Izumi speaks quietly "Sif, hide and watch, when they get here, tell me."

"Understood."

Sif examines where the pigeons are perched and sits in a similar position, as far out of sight as possible. When anything approaches or the police arrive to investigate, he will note them and dissipate.

"Well, you haven't spent years training up for combat, so really not a surprise there."

Visrii slows down and waits for the civilian member to catch up.

"This place certainly looks like it is made of metal." Visrii pointed out the darkened buildings.

The group that had decided to jump down to the next rooftop was greeted by a waves of unfriendly looking stares, and an astute observer would notice the various dirty looking men and and women move their hands preemptively to any nearby weapon, but they have not started attacking for now, it seems as if they are waiting for someone to break the ice and say something......

Smell of the day: Several days of not bathing

Things of interest: An unfriendly and armed group of homeless men and women, several small children that are also armed, a surprisingly neat pile of trash, a bunch of barrels that had their insides set on fire, various objects that appear to be used as beds lying on the floor, a way down, a way north, a shortcut to the first floor, an old looking man wearing a ratty brown jacket that appears to be drinking an foul looking brown liquid

"Um, sorry, we're just passing through. Kinda on a hurry right now." Halley said, quietly recharging again. If required, she could blind the homeless quickly and create an opportunity for a quick escape. "Causing a commotion here would certainly catch the police patrol's attention, and nobody here wants that, right?" She added.

As if to emphasize Halley's point, the tell-tale flashing of red and blue light can be seen from the edges of the roof, accompanied by the sound of police sirens.

If Sif had been paying attention it would see that the police car had stopped at the alley the group had arrived in.

The old man that been drinking something foul in a bottle stops drinking for a moment "Ach let them through, they ave too many arms ta fight against anyway" he brings the bottle back into his mouth and continues drinking, the group of homeless continues to keep their hands on the nearest available weapons, but they seem slightly more relaxed somehow, it may be a good idea to not overstay your welcome.

A door would have led down into the rest of the building, but it had been rather conspicuously blocked by a pile of trash that wasn't there before, it seems like the large group do not want you to enter the place.

There is yet another rooftop the group can drop down to at the north, and it appears to be quite empty, except for a bunch of drugged out men making pew-pew noises at each other.

Lexiel hops down to the next roof, offering help to Theo again if he wants it.  She then heads for the center of the rooftop, where she pauses near the stoners.  Lexiel then proceeds to ramp her inspiring aura as hard as she can.

All angels have an inspiring aura, something that makes the people around them more than what they were before.  Exactly how they do that varies by individual personality and color alignment, and Lexiel doesn't actually know her aura's exact properties.  What she does know is that her aura is pretty powerful, as she is a bona fide Archangel, and that it makes positive advice a lot more likely to stick, especially in already suggestable minds.  Like Boros recruits around a beautiful, exotic woman who they've been told they should be worshipping for the first time since they started boot camp, or a bunch of very high individuals who have probably never seen an angel before.

Anyway, she pushes as much mana and will into it as she can, surrounding herself in a faint, warmly flickering silvery glow.  "You guys should find something more productive to do with your free time.  Get a library card, join a guild, something nicer than sitting on a roof giggling at each other 'cause you've fried your minds.  Whatever you're on...  That rot will mess you up, and you are better than that.  You know that.  Now believe it."  Lexiel then turns back to the rest of the PCs and the well-armed group on the previous roof, many of whom are probably staring.  When even the least of angels flares their aura, even if they aren't paying you any mind, it's hard not to, and their words have a way of sticking with you long after the memories should've faded.

"Now come on, y'all," She addresses the other PCs, "We don't want to overstay our welcome on these fine gentlemen's rooftop, and I'm sure we have places to be."  Presumably, a fair portion of the staring continues.  "Oookay, this is getting kind of awkward."

Edmond listened anxiously as the sirens stopped. He thought he could hear the faint crackle of radios. We left quite the small mess back there, didn't we...

He cautiously walked past the presumably homeless folk, keeping his hands visible at all times. They seemed rather nervous, and would doubtless fight if the group overstayed its welcome. When he had reached the edge of the roof, he saw Lexiel doing...something. Glowing, and talking to a group of what appeared to be drug addicts. Edmond hopped down, and surveyed the rooftop.

"Where exactly are we going? We need to figure out why we're here...I'm assuming that someone called us here, and they wouldn't have brought us to the alleyway unless there was some guarantee that we could find them...Is there anything in that box you picked up earlier, Lexiel? Something back there was probably a lead for what we need to do..."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the business card from before.

"There's an address here, and some sort of passcode. It might be what we need..."

The young men seem to realize something after becoming exposed to Lexiel's aura, and they proceeded to pull out several guns...and dashed inside of the building.

over the next three years the young men would construct a small militia named the "47th street Angels" with the help of the unemployed men and women living next door, and would spend almost an entire decade scavenging and protecting their little slice of land from the many hostile gangs infesting the Seattle sprawl, until they were wiped out in a bloody gang war against The Cutters over their territory.

But to everyone other than the rambling narrator, the only thing of obvious importance would be the fact that the door leading into the building is now open.

there are also some drugs strewn around the floor but taking them would most likely be the worst idea possible.

There is also a fire escape leading down onto the street level, and the sirens have stopped for now it seems.

Smell of the day: Inspiration

Things of interest: Drugs lying on floor, Door leading into building and most likely down, Fire escape heading down, Empty rooftop to the east, a single clip of pistol ammunition that one of the young men seems to have forgotten about, staring pigeons.

That was surprising.

After the strange group had retreated inside the building, Edmond stepped over and picked up the ammunition clip and inspected it. Seems to be gunpowder based, probably lead...

Edmond inspects the clip. Are there any words on the side (manufacturer) and how many bullets are there?

Halley followed Lexiel, and was left amazed by her... performance. Comparing herself to the angel, she found herself suddenly much less capable. She tossed the concerns aside, and moved on.

"There's an address here, and some sort of passcode. It might be what we need..."

She took a look at the card.

"Looks like a bar. That's where thugs gather, right? Let's go and kick some bad guys' bums!" She skipped and hopped enthusiastically to the edge of the rooftop. "Hm, would you guys prefer getting there through more rooftop hopping? We'd be ignoring the traffic and the possibility of extra commotion caused by a large group running through the streets."

She observes the street signs' patterns, predicting the general direction of the bar.

Edmond would find that the bullets to be oddly caseless 9mm ammunition provided by a manufacturer or company called "Ares Macrotechnology", there appears to be 12 bullets left inside of the clip, Edmond feels that the bullets may be very expensive.

Halley would spot a street sign to the north of the group's current position, although not necessarily true north, that states that they are currently in the 47th street of the university way, another sign further to the north of the group's current position states that it marks the start of the 48th street, this may take a bit of walking....

Interesting. Caseless ammo was a thing back in the late 21st and 22nd century, right?

Edmond popped one of the rounds out of the clip and hefted it. It weighed about what a lead projectile normally does, and noting nothing of further interest, he put the bullet back into the clip. He then placed the clip in his backpack. At some point, well hopefully have someone around who can tell us about this...

"Oh. So we probably want to go to the bar then? I would advocate for roof hopping for now. We don't know much about this place, but it's quite possible that some of us might draw attention."

Specifically Halley and Lexiel...
