Rather than just posting in another person's thread you can make your own thread in this subforum (e.g. The Grand Hall). That way people will see your thread and know that they have someone else to welcome rather than think that they've already welcomed the person who made the thread in the first place. In the thread you make feel free to talk about your interests as well as ask the questions you have. We'd be happy to explain and welcome you there.
