Johnny vs Robert

While being able to hit with the Scratch, the Tackle had thrown her back and into the ground. While she did try Izzy failed to get up this time, stuck on her back with no energy left. While Kiai sighed from the sidelines at the loss, Robert smiled at how close they got. "Welp, guess you and Sylvia won this time Johnny."

Citrine vs Wolt

While the little Eevee gave a cute little face, only one person was looking at it. The Skitty couldn't help but feel sorry that the little Eevee was about to get beat up. She then took a look over to her trainer...who was staring at a leaf blowing across the field. Not surprised, the Rotom was doing the same exact thing. The little Skitty cried out to snap the idiot of a trainer away from that distraction.

"Huh?" Citrine looked down and noticed the Eevee giving a cute stare. "Oh sorry, I didn't realize we started." She looked over to who distracted Pokemon. "Techie...you should...err...paralyze it I guess." The Rotom then looked over at the Eevee and released a small jolt (thunder wave) at it before going back to watching the leaf.

I guess? The Skitty was steamed at the girl's attitude towards this battle. This wasn't fun little game, but a serious fight and she takes it like its nothing. Her former master would've been thinking ahead or be prepared for an incoming strike. And that Rotom was bringing shame to Pokemon everywhere. She doubted he even cared to be there. At least the boy was trying. He'd probably beat her trainer rather easily at this point.

Citrine vs Wolt

'A leaf... Are you serious?' Was all that went through Wolt's head. They've just started battling and she's just starring at something floating in the wind. Athena felt heart broken. Apparently a leaf was more worth their time than her and letting that thunder wave hit wouldn't be good so she better get that taken care of as well.

"Athena use Swift to block the thunder wave..." Not wasting anytime, Athena swiped tail horizontally launching multiple star-shaped projectiles at the incoming attack. Both colliding mid-air stopping one another. Looking back at Citrine again, she went back to starring at the leaf. Is a leaf that important that you'd stop everything that you're doing just to stare at it? "You know what, while you're at it can you hit that leaf with a star as well?" The Eevee just launched one star, pinning that leaf to the same tree Inigo was leaning on. Inigo, not amused in the slightest, took his claw and cut the leaf into shreds leaving a claw mark on the tree as he did so.

"Are you done goofing around yet? I though I might try to distract you but looks like I was beaten to the punch by a leaf. If we're going to battle is it too much ask for you to pay attention to it?" Wolt spoke unamused. He hopes that maybe a quick jolt into reality might help her battle.

Citrine vs Wolt

"Somebody is a little grumpy over there," teased Citrine after seeing that he went all out to attack a leaf. She glanced over to her Rotom who was amused by the little performance that just occurred. He even tried poking some of the stars since they didn't effect them at all. Citrine then looked back at Wolt. "Alright, alright, I'll try to stay focused. Techie use, oh look at that cloud. It looks like a Cloyster!" Citrine pointed to a certain cloud in the sky. The little rotom flew up a little higher to get a closer look before saying a couple cries toward Citrine. "Yeah, you're right. It does look like that now that you mention it."

The Skitty was about to tackle her trainer in rage when she noticed something odd about the Rotom. While it was flying a bit higher in the air, electricity slowly began to surround its body (charge). The Skitty was first in shock that the Rotom would be disobeying orders...until she thought about it. The whole battle made a little more sense now. Teaching a Pokemon to use an attack without orders was something that could even take months or a year and this girl managed to do it in five minutes. The Skitty figured it had something to do with its very limited moveset since Citrine was clearly not wanting to attack that Eevee yet.

Rosie then thought for a second about everything that happened. This definitely was an interesting play for what she considered an amateur. This girl...clearly had some battle experience even though she didn't act like it or know everything about Pokemon. There no way someone would be able to fight like this in their first battle. Just who exactly is this girl? The Skitty stopped caring about which side would win at this point. This had to be one of the strangest battles she'd ever witnessed.

Kage vs Mie

Aron vs Snorunt

Moveset Aron:

-Metal Claw -Tackle -Mud Slap

-Stealth Rock -Harden

Moveset :

-Rollout -Ice Shard -Icy Wind -Hex

-Protect -Double Team

No theme yet for Kage so just have a remix I was listening to.

Kage took up the side of the field opposite Mie. "Ready for this, Sasaki?" The Steel-type chirped a response that sounded enthusiastic, so Kage figured that was a yes. He produced a singular earbud from somewhere within the painfully bright jacket and put it in, listening to a song in one ear. "You can take the first move," he called out to Mie.

Citrine vs Wolt

'First a leaf, now a cloud? Do I need to tear down the sky just to get her attention?' Wolt was loosing his patience h as just about to try and get her attention again when he noticed something off about her Rotom. It was showing more electricity than usual. Was it an attack? But Citrine didn't give orders. Whatever is going on, he doesn't like it. Maybe there's more to this girl then he first thought.

"Athena quickly go play tickle with that Rotom. Just be sure to watch out for it's electric arms." The Eevee dashed under the Ghost-Electric type lifting her tail up and giving tiny little shakes. Aiming to go and tickle Techie from underneath.

Kage vs Mie

Fighting a Steel/Rock Type with an Ice Type put Mie and Yukiko at a huge disadvantage from the beginning. In that case, the best thing to do was restrict enemy movements to mitigate the risk of taking heavy. The lesser the chance of getting hit, the lesser the chance of taking damage. Even though Steel types were generally more defensive, she could take their time whittling away at their opponent.

"Start with Icy Wind, Yukiko." The girl gave a short and simple command as she held her arm out. With that, the Snorunt blew snow that glittered under the lights towards the Aron on the other end of the battlefield.

Toshiro vs Kay

Phanpy vs Purrloin

Panzer's Moveset: Tackle, Rollout, Ice shard, Defense Curl, Charm.

Princess's Moveset : ???

"Thank you for challenging me, Kay" Toshiro respectfully bows at Kay and takes his place at the trainer's platform. "usually, i don't battle with trainers, but i believe a part of a pokemon's growth is their experience in the battlefield. not only it builds up their strength but it also strengthen their bond between its trainers, wouldn't you agree?" Toshiro said with a smile. "Panzer, you're up!" Toshiro calls out the tiny playful elephant as it steps foot in the ring. playfully stomping the dirt around its feet.

"Alright, Panzer, use tackle" Toshiro claps his hands together and commanded the dwarf elephant to perform the most simplest attack, trying to measure what kind of move his opponent will pull off.

Phanpy charges right in towards Purrloin as the blue elephant swings it trunk from side to side, trying to knock Princess from where she stands.

Citrine vs Wolt

Citrine saw the incoming Eevee and simply snapped her finger. Instantly, the Rotom released and electric attack right at the Eevee before it could even reach the halfway point (thundershock). The Skitty was a little surprised at the girl. She didn't have time to think as Citrine wasn't finished yet. "Alright Techie, switch sides on the field and face me." The Rotom caught on before she finished and dashed right over the Eevee's head giving it zero chance to even try and tickle the little speedster. It then looked at the Eevee surrounding itself once again with electricity (charge).

Everything about this battle started to make sense to the Skitty watching. Clearly, this girl must've learned quite a few things about battling somewhere because this was beyond what an amateur is capable of. Perhaps that leaf watching was her way of playing the waiting game. She must've also taught that Rotom that snapping her fingers was for thundershock...and combined with Charge...that Rotom could attack faster than the Eevee could move. It'll be interesting to see if that boy could break through a strategy like this.

"Sasaki, throw some Stealth Rocks up in the way, cut up that wind." The Aron dug up several shards of rock and scattered them in a loose spread between himself and the Snorunt. It didn't quite stop the wind, but it broke it up a bit, reducing the effect it seemed to have. "Now get closer, and stay behind those." The Aron obeyed, attempting to keep a rock between himself and his opponent.

Kage vs Mie

The wind had partially dissipated leaving a weakened effect. Mie could not help but be a bit impressed at the basic use of fluid mechanics principles. In the end, one move was countered and would likely be countered again if she tried. The stealth rocks on the field would definitely weaken the Icy Wind's effect if she tried to use it again and now the Aron was inching ever closer.

It was obvious that the match would likely end in the Aron's favor if it closed the gap. That meant that the best possible option was to keep attacking from a distance.

"In which case, Yukiko. Ice Shard." The Snorunt proceeded to concentrate, and open its mouth, allowing multiple shards of ice to fly out towards the Aron behind the rocks.

Kage shouted his order immediately after he heard Mie yell hers. "Sasaki, charge!" The shards of ice flew true, but they clattered against the steel cranium of the charging Pokemon without doing much damage. They shattered like glass as the Aron ran as quickly as its legs allowed it, aiming a full-body tackle at the Snorunt. Kage was banking on his Pokemon's type and statistical advantages to win this match; an ice-based physical attack was essentially a free opening to strike.

Citrine vs Wolt

Some music I find somewhat fitting

As Citrine snapped her finger, they were shocked to find out the Rotom had launched an attack, in more ways than one. The lighting attack hitting the unsuspecting Eevee. "Athena!" Wolt cried as he saw the small brown pokemon get hit by a powerful lighting attack. He now boar an angry look in his face. 'She's been playing us like a damn fiddle. That lighting attack was way more powerful than a starting pokemon should have. Unless that Rotom also has charge.' Looking back at the Rotom once again surrounded by electricity. 'Yep, definitely a charge. And that ghost far too fast for Athena to land a hit on. Unless...' An idea popped in his head.

"Athena, are you alright?" Wolt asked the normal type who now is getting back on her feet. The let a affirming cry signaling she wasn't going to be knocked out by one attack. But Wolt knew that she took heavy damage from that attack. One or two more hits like that and that'd be it for her. "Alright, now use bite!" The Eevee gave a concerned look, running in didn't work out last time so what makes him think it'll work this time? "This is suppose to build trust between us right? Just stay focused and have a little faith in me." He was right, besides it's not like they had much choice in the matter. Being a sitting duck and doing nothing wasn't going to get them anywhere. So she ran forward towards the Rotom, opening her jaw showing her sharp teeth and aimed to take a bite out of a ghost. Wolt, however, kept a close eye on Citrine and the Rotom.

Claude Vs Drake

Aron((Treble) Vs Buneary (Jessica)

Aron:

Moves: Metal Claw, Rock tomb, Stomp, Mud slap. Support: Screech, Automatize.

Buneary:

-Double hit, Pound, Splash, Copycat, Defence curl, Teeter Dance

Claude and Drake stood at one of the academy's numerous battle fields after navigating the school with minor success. At least, Claude thought they did alright considering they had been there for a day.

Buneary hopped onto the battlefield. Claude was surprised how quickly the Buneary had taken to the fight. Maybe some pokemon just had a battling instinct, who knew? Either way, he was ready.

"Well Drake, as the expert in battles here, how about you take the lead and show us how it's done?" Claude called, part taunt and part genuine request.

Drake vs Claude

"It would be my pleasure." Drake said, with a bow. Treble was however, not ready quite yet, as evidenced by the fact he was laying on his back staring at the ceiling. Drake was bowing deeply towards Claude as she noted this looking down at the silly Aron that was waggling his legs in the air and whistling. She whispered to him as she did it. "Pssst, hey, Treble, we're supposed to be battling this isn't a time to be messing around buddy."

Treble noticed, and even jumped a little bit at hearing his name. He was spacing out, common of the happy go-lucky Aron. Drake would come to learn this about him in time. He rolled over onto his side and quickly scrambled to get up now that he knew he was supposed to be doing something. He looked... mighty silly. Either way he was on his feet and Drake was ready to start the battle. "Alright, let's start with something to weaken our opponent. Treble, use Screech!" Treble about feel asleep again, a snot bubble forming in his nose. However it Immediately popped when he heard the order. He jumped quickly into action and suddenly the typical happy song he played turned into a horrifying cacophony of noise. It sounded like something sharp being ground against metal, a horrid screech that pierced the air and made it feel like even it was vibrating. Drake, knowing this was probably going to be loud preemptively covered her ears, but even she could somewhat hear the noise. It was extremely unnerving and the whole room seemed to feel with the awful blast of sound.

Kage vs Mie

The Ice Shard was a bust. Not only did most of the shards shatter on contact with the opponent but multiple also failed to even hit the target and ended up landing, digging onto the field on the other side. Even worse now was the fact that the Aron was closing the gap far too quickly. What Mie needed was to have Yukiko brace herself so she could widen the distance.

Brace herself.

"Yukiko. Use Protect." She calmly instructed. In response, the Snow Hat Pokemon bunkered down and calmly created a light blue force field around itself.

Citrine vs Wolt

"Now thunder wave," ordered Citrine. The little Rotom released a quick wave of electricity at the foe. Thanks to the electric field around him, the Rotom was able to release the attack before the Eevee got close, but it wasn't enough to stop the attack. The Rotom felt the fangs of the little fox dig right into him. The single attack was just to much for the little Rotom as it collapsed to the floor after being released. Citrine pulled out Techie's Poke Ball and beamed him back in. "Bummer, I gotta say that was a little anti-climatic, but a fight is a fight. I'll catch you later then. C'mon Rosie."

The Skitty was still quite skeptical. There's just no way she should've lost that fight. Even if that attack was super effective, that Ghost should've been able to handle it especially given if the T-wave landed. One hit shouldn't be enough to KO anything. She looked over to her trainer who was walking off the field. Nothing added up. An amateurish street rat shouldn't be able to battle like that unless they taught and even more strange is that she enlisted into a school made for battling and it's as if she didn't care about battling. She then thought that perhaps this strange behavior is why she was sent here instead of that godforsaken glutton they call a Venonat. While she could spend hours making theories, there wasn't much point. She turned to give a quick grin at the Eevee showing she wasn't afraid to beat it down before turning to follow Citrine.

(Sorry to cut this battle short Exlink, but this battle was more or less going to end this way anyways and we would've been spamming the same attacks for a week now due to our typings).

Toshiro vs Kay

Phanpy vs Purrloin

Panzer's Moveset: Tackle, Rollout, Ice shard, Defense Curl, Charm.

Princess's Moveset : Scratch, Feint Attack, Charm, Sand-Attack

Princess had no idea what was happening when Kay carried her over to the battlefield. She stared from her trainer to the Phanpy an thought she was given a playmate. When the small elephant stormed her way, she let out a satisfying cry. Playing tag was always fun!

She winked at him in a charming way (Charm used) before running away right in front of Panzer.

The Aron's head bounced off the barrier, disorienting him for a moment as he recovered. It was tough to slow down when you were essentially an animated lump of heavy metals. However, that didn't deter Sasaki or his trainer. "Keep pressing the assault! Metal Claw!" Kage shouted from the other side of the field. The small Steel-type's front legs glowed white, and he made another swipe at the Snorunt, aiming to land a decisive blow.

Kage vs Mie

"Evade with Double Team and widen the distance with Rollout!" All of her ice moves failed. She had doubted rollout would do any damage on a Steel/Rock type like Aron. As such, she had to widen the gap and find an opening for the final move in Yukiko's move set. Otherwise, the battle would end with Kage declaring checkmate.

With that, the Metal Claw hit Yukiko…who seemed to disappear before reappearing in an adjacent position. Immediately after, it curled up and sped off rolling to the other side of the field before standing up next to one of the ice pieces laying in the floor.

Panzer's tackle loses its momentum and instantly turns into a gentle bump as he skidded across the floor. As panzer saw the cat's playful wink, He quickly turns around and started to chase the mischievous cat.

Panzer sprinted across the field and curls like a ball and started to roll towards Princess at high speed, attempting to knock the cat off its feet.

Clearly the baby elephant has something different in mind. Panzer just want to show his strength in a playful manner and just want to knocks everything that's put infront of him. Panzer enjoys bumping into something or someone, especially moving targets.

Drake and Claude

Buneary shrieked herself when she heard the horrible noise. It was causing more than just discomfort to her sensitive ears.

Claude did his best to simply ignore the dreadful sound, considering what to do next. Bunearys moves truly wouldn't do anything to Aron, but they had to try.

"Buneary, double hit, make the first hit an uppercut and hit him as high as you can, then get below him!" He cried twice. The first time Buneary simply didn't hear him, the second she gave him an apprehensive look before complying. She hopped forward, zigzagging in her approach before aiming a blow at Trebles chin and preparing the next blow aimed for his stomach to send him up into the air as far as she could.

Drake vs Claude

Drake flashed a quick grin. Perhaps her opponent had no better option than this attack. If the Buneary did... it would probably have used it. It was no time to get cocky, but she knew that if this was the case and Claude kept attacking with these types of moves that surely she'd had this victory clinched. So, it was time to be defensive but how? After all, most of her Pokemon's moves would be too slow or Offensive in this situation, how would she pry off the Buneary without going in for an attack? Then it dawned on her. As the buneary came close she shouted to Treble, "Stomp! HARD!" Quickly the Aron noticed and smashed down it's foot quickly and decisively. Had it not been for it's weight it might not have worked but even despite it's small size Aron was strong, dense and heavy. This resulting it's it foot smashing into the ground and firing debris into the air. Small razors of rock fly everywhere with enough force that they'd certainly hurt if one got close.

This attack would force a choice, for the buneary to keep going and attack but suffer harm, or to leap back in time to evade. Both choices were a victory for Drake most likely though. Because both ways the opponent would eventually give her information. If the Buneary kept going, this attack was probably important to land, meaning it was Claude's best shot. If they dodged back she could pry out more information by trying to force Claude into using more of his pokemon's moves. Best to play safe and not underestimate one's opponent. That was always a fatal mistake.

Drake and Claude

Think on your feet Claude, c'mon.

"Back up Buneary, get away from the debris!"

The order wasn't very necessary, Buneary was already flinching from the force of the impact already. She hopped back, out of range of the debris. What had that done? Given them some scant seconds to do something. But what? Attacking wasn't effective but, well, Bunearys moves weren't very useful either way. Buneary was looking jittery too.

"Buneary, enjoy a quick teeter dance!" He called out. It was the only thing he could think of. Maybe it really was relaxing? Either way, Buneary started deftly bouncing around the battlefield, though the rhythm didn't look like it could match any music, imagined or not. It was utterly bizarre and confusing.

Drake vs Claude

((I will now silently lament Aron not being able to have Own Tempo and being able to do this whole scene making him sing the music that would go with the rhythm ))

Treble felt... woozy from the watching the dance, very woozy. He even burped not being able to control himself for a second. Drake knew what was happening pretty quickly. The Dance the Buneary was doing was unsettling even to her as a human. Even she had trouble just staring at it and spacing out. It was... mesmerizing. She shook her head, now was no time to space out. This was battle!

"Treble, Use Screech! Make a loud sound to snap yourself out of it. Focus on something!" Drake's logic was that him putting all his effort into making the sound would cause him to be able to get his mind straight. And if that didn't help too much, that the loud ungodly noise would. Treble didn't really notice at first. He groggily swayed back and forth, nearly falling flat on his face. Drake yelled her command again hoping to get through to the poor thing. Treble not being the most familiar with Drake still couldn't quite understand, but it was her third command that managed to get to him.

"Play me your happy song Treble!"

He knew it was her this time, and what he did was play that song. He whistled it to himself and focused inwardly. He stopped paying attention to the world around him in attempt to regain his awareness and break the confusion. He played the 12 notes it numbers now over and over trying to bring himself out of it. All the while he attempted to stay put and stop stumbling around. He couldn't focus on using a move right now, but he could do this.
