Pokemon Se7en - Currently on hiatus

That's really interesting and a great thought! Will it work as a bigger and better version of post-episode content, like the ship's held and the police sidequests in E1, or will other story points serve as episode finish lines?

The latter, the second gym battle only comes at around the halfway line of the episode(content wise it's really early on actually). This doesn't make Duster any less hard, in fact he is possibly one of the most brutal gym battles in the game.

Azery nation nerfing Duster in E2,5, con-fuckin-firmed :P

Anyway, that's exciting news, not only because it means that the story will claim the pole position in the game, but because it fixes one of the very weird things in Reborn: with the episodical releases, the climactic battle at the end of the ep is not rescuing an area from the vine infestation but battling the teacher in the local academy. Not rescuing an area of a teleportation occurence that plagues it and destroying the evil team's base, but battling the 7yo boy next to the lake. Not rescuing the girl who jumped from the waterfall twice from the claws of the evil team, but partaking in a circus spectacle of a gym battle, kid you not Tomas. Really, Reborn has always followed the pattern of "the episode starts, the plot continues, a subplot reaches a peaking point, subplot concludes, gym battle, episode koniec" and I'll be glad to see it break with Se7en.

Mind you, Reborn's formula has its merit. And Reborn can afford following it on the account of having A LOT more gym leaders (more than twice as many in fact). We, however, have only 8 gyms, so we must be careful about how we handle them. Believe me when I say, finding the perfect balance was a pain, and there are still some details on which we argue to this day.

Yes, I know the formula has its merits, but sometimes it gets a little bit too much, especially if you look at it from a distance, making big story events seem anticlimactic in favour of some gym battles that won't always make a ton of sense. Anyway, I really trust Huk, you, Zim and the whole brain trust (I mean think tank) behind the project to deliver the goods and the story at a good pace.

So, we were all so busy after Reborn's Christmas Party, we forgot to brag about how people voted us Fangame of the Year 2015. I therefore decided to edit the title of the topic and, since I was at it, I removed the survey concerning Ep 1, since we hadn't been getting new votes for a while anyway. Here is how the poll last looked:

Welp, this is all for now. Thank you all for your support, please stick with us! New info on Ep 2 will be coming soon... And don't forget that the anniversary of this project (February the first) is approaching!

It happened on the server during the Christmas Party. I wasn't even there: as mentioned, I was very busy in that period so I even forgot to brag, after I was told by others about this result. But welp, since I felt the poll had overstayed its welcome and it was about time to come up with a new title for the topic, I thought I'd bring that up.

I'm personally iffy about it :S, probably because I'm self-depreciating but I feel as if it could be MUCH better...and it will, just not until E3.

I was wondering if I was the only one to think the overworld sprite looked like it had more hair than the battle sprite. I actually thought it was Irvine at first when I saw the picture.

same, i thought we were just getting a random npc sprite :S

Y'know, the ???: before his speech should have hinted you off that this was an Important character, lol.

In truth, most of the gym leaders have received massive updates since their respective announcements. It's just that Nova's spriting style is evolving... And with each new step forward, he remakes all the sprites from scratch. The guy is never satisfied...

Thank you, thank you.

Same goes to you Caz, I really enjoyed playing through Desolation even if I couldn't finish it thanks to PC problems.

I finally found an Elftik, but I only had one Poke Ball and it broke out x . x

EDIT: Bought 3 Poke Balls, found another one and caught it on the third ball :D

Nice job! Elftik's a tough one to catch. Now imagine trying to hunt for a Shiny one...

The new Duster looks much better and quite detailed. He even looks like Chuck Norris in Walker Texas Ranger (which I believe was the original intent too).
So, I believe congrats are long due. I love this.

Oh my god...

I just had a serious realization about Elftik (yeah, a little late since Elftik was the last update before the Teaser... I know... bla bla bla...)

but the first time I encountered Elftik I knew there was something familiar about this little Bug, but I couldn't figure it out...

and it just NOW hit me, while scrolling through 9gag and seeing this picture:

aydDg7b_460s.jpg

everyone who played Gen.1 and 2 know these symbols...

Aquatic - Lizard/Dragon

Plants - Mystical

Bugs - Mammals

look at the Bug-Type symbol! LOOKT AT IT!

Elftik IS the Bug-Type symbol!

- those giant red eyes

- the six legs and the antennas

- the round body

- the open mouth!

the only thing that is missing are it's tiny wings... but you can't see them because they are on it's back - wich isn't pictured in teh bug type symbol!

MIND! BLOWN!
