  1. When balancing battles, what assumptions do you make about how players battle? (E.g., do you assume they will or won't use items in battle, do you expect a certain amount of level grinding, etc.) With regards to pokemon distribution, especially in the early game, do you have common challenge runs like monotypes or nuzlockes in mind at all when making decisions, or do you mostly focus on the experience of a vanilla playthrough?
  2. What was the process for designing the new fields? Darkness field and crowd field seem a lot more defensively-oriented than a lot of the pre-existing fields with crowd's anti-sweep mechanics and darkness's general damage reductions for ghost and dark types and relatively small damage boost; was that just to differentiate their designs from the reborn fields, or do you think you'll want to do more defensively focused fields going forward?
  3. Comma in Seyo's introduction should be a period, semicolon, colon, or hyphen. Slowpoke is listed as psychic/psychic instead of poison/psychic.
  4. Use of 'vindicate' doesn't make sense in context; should probably be 'villify' or similar.
  5. Cramorant enters its gorging form and paralyzes with gulp missile after surf even when above 50% health.
  6. Mirror armor doesn't reflect the speed drop from gooey or cotton down.
  7. Rest fails sometimes even when the user isn't at full health; when this happens, the 'but it failed!' message is displayed twice. Both times I've seen the bug were on ashen beach, and the pokemon using rest had been statused.
  8. Continue the story; during the Celia city section, you'll be given an upgradeable house; the guild is available as one of those upgrades.
  9. You can leave after getting to Saphira's gym and talking to her, but as far as I'm aware, there's no way to leave before finishing the first three battles.
  10. Arclight's now in the nightclub instead of the grand hall. To get McKrezzy's autograph, you have to talk to him again after Felicia asks for it (which happens after you give her her Makuhita back).
  11. Unrealtime can be set to any number between 1 and 50 in the options menu; in-game time will pass at that multiple of real time (so if you set unrealtime to 30, every minute of real time half an in-game hour will pass).
  12. For ghost coverage, maybe sharpedo? It completes a fire-water-grass trio, and speed boost destiny bond is a generally powerful tool to have access to. For a fairy type, I could see sticky web ribombee being pretty good - mamoswine and medicham are both on the slow end of offensive pokemon, so the speed support should make them a lot more effective. Not available yet, but IIRC you're pretty close to it.
  13. In e19, hidden power no longer depends on your ivs; she lets you change the hidden power type by paying heart scales.
  14. Yes; the elemental punch tutor is now at Agate Circus.
  15. You might need a pokésnack, if you don't have one. Otherwise, the emolga stops flying in certain weathers and you can catch it off the ground (I think it needs to be clear, but I'm not sure).
  16. Come back after your ninth gym badge; there's an item you get as part of that section of the game that you need to get to the trees.
  17. If you install the SWM modular modpack, one of the features in it lets you change starter to any pokemon in the game.
  18. I think you're underrating charizard - it takes a bit to come online, but once you get access to ninetails in Agate circus, it becomes an extremely strong sun sweeper, with similar damage to typhlosion's eruptions and much better coverage (solar beam in particular is a huge deal, giving it a reliable way to get past water and rock types that typhlosion can't touch outside of favorable nature power fields). Coupled with its good early game, it's solidly A or B. Mudkip is closer to C tier than B tier - it has a really rough early game with the fern battles, florinia, and pulse tangrowth all making its grass weakness extremely relevant, and while it's very good in the late game you're not missing much if you just wait until you can do its event post-Agate Circus. Snivy has a similar problem - until it gets leaf storm, it's possibly the worst starter outright, and while contrary+leaf storm is powerful it's not so much better than a normal setup sweeper that it makes up for the awful early game. While water/steel is a good type, there are plenty of other reasonable steel types in the early game (wormadam-trash and bronzong being probably the most notable), and given Piplup's otherwise low powerlevel I don't think the typing does enough to rescue it from D. Decidueye I think has a case for B - the combination of feather dance and u-turn makes it a pretty effective slow pivot, and while it's not as generically powerful as some of the other B tier pokemon, there's not much else that can replace it within its particular niche. Otherwise, seems like a solid list.
  19. He prefaces "four screens foretold four souls...", which taken literally implies that all four were in the future; I'm inclined to interpret as either a timeline error or straining accuracy for the sake of alliteration. It would seem strange to count Corey as 'foretold' but not 'foreshadowed', and there's not a 5th screen to take his place as the referent of the first part.
  20. The first fight club stops giving credits after 15; the second is unlimited.
  21. The torture scene in the opening sequence has been removed. In the route where Taka dies and appears in the void, there's some way to later get him back. In the route where Taka hasn't died yet, he'll die at some point in e19. The Lin fight will include at least one pokemon she stole from Ame, probably the Alolan ninetails she used in Titania's gym. Eclipse will not get her soul back. There will be a sidequest related to the guy harassing the woman outside the Lapis ward pokemart. The battle against Furret+Bibarel in Postgame Perils - Pokemon Punchup, Painfully Powerful will be against the two kids in Peridot ward who want to catch a pokemon strong enough to impress Youngster Joey and his top-tier rattata. The TM for swords dance will not be available until the postgame; likewise volt switch and u-turn.
  22. Pinned post here (https://www.rebornevo.com/forums/topic/55817-v13-bug-reporting-instructions/)has the bug reporting form
  23. I don't expect Lin to run trick room - it's extremely antisynergistic with the new world field's speed lowering effect, given that her signature pokemon has levitate. We can't really extrapolate much from the previous leaders using mega evolutions whose base forms match their gym types - no mega evolution adds the rock, steel, or water types to a pokemon that doesn't already have them, and the only pokemon that gains fairy type by mega evolving is Audino (which is both one of the weakest mega evolutions in the game and also especially ill-suited for doubles on account of its passivity), so pretty much only Ciel could have had an off-type base form on her mega.
  24. Trade evolutions use link stones; IIRC, the first one you get access to is available in Addenfall town, so slightly ahead of where you currently are.
