  1. This person has riolus for trade. Shiny too.
  2. A single Altaria with a moveset of Return, DD, Roost and Cotton Guard is enough for this fight. Kill the Noivern (which will go for the dragon move), and then set up cotton guards and dragon dances on the physical mon she sends out (I think it was druddigon?). Then sweep. Her focus sashes mean nothing when you have +6 defense. Only thing you have to worry about are crits.
  3. What about probopass? It definitely has hair... though I'm not sure whether that's a mustache or the hairs of its nose.
  4. Hello, I've restarted the game to get the Anna path cause I was curious. Could you give me a torchic, a snivy with the egg move grassy terrain, a froakie and an alolan vulpix with the egg move freeze dry? All male if possible. That would be a great help.

Welp you'll have to use quick claw instead. Or a prankster murkrow with perish song. Which I think has been moved back so I guess you'll have to trade for it, or for another focus sash. Both carvanha and drifloon can come with destiny bond and with the help of quick claw can beat it. Don't remember where you get quick claw, but I had it and used it for that fight, so it must be available before Garchomp.
  6. I have done bug and ice as of episode 18 and I agree that bug is easier than ice. But to be honest, I didn't find ice to be all that hard, but then again, I started with a wonder traded shellder and got an alolan vulpix that easily got out the mareanie that walled the rest of my team with extrasensory in the Corey fight. Haven't tried yet a monotype with the new passwords but I think I will do so in the future, it will make some of the more difficult to begin monotypes a lot more easy to manage. I remember having trouble with Solaris' mega garchomp on the bug monotype, turns out not having a mon with an ice move this thing can live many hits, and it hits like a truck. Araquanid took care of Charlotte and scizor beat Hardy. Aya I had some problems surprisingly but I used a wormadam steel with quiver dance and managed to beat her, I only needed to take care of her salazzle. The early game was a lot easier for the bug monotype, what with having so many options and some of them fully evolved. I recall using alolan sandslash against Titania in the ice monotype, and I remember I had trouble because of the seeds she was using that prevented damage on her pokemon, that prevented my sweepers from attacking and they of course were taken out, being weak to steel and steel moves being boosted on the field, it was inevitable. I think I beat her using the seeds myself, and I beat Charlotte by using Blizzard to terminate the field and then using Mamoswine with earthquake to take out the fire mons. Mamoswine fainted at some point but I brought it back with a revive and it wrecked havoc twice. I used the blizzard strat on Amaria too, but I had also a real good surprise for her, a water absorb Lapras with freeze dry, took out all of her team except her own Lapras, it was wild.
  7. I suggest you replace Togekiss or Gardevoir with Krokorok since their typing overlaps. Probably Gardevoir since Togekiss will at least have aura sphere for the giant Steelix. You also have two fighting types and two flying types. I think Noel is coming up so two fighting types is not such a bad idea but I recommend swapping Togekiss with Krokorok to have an answer to electric moves and it will help against Radomus too I'd think. Gardevoir can learn trick room which I think will be useful so I don't recommend dropping it in the long run. Krookodile's typing overlaps with Hydreigon so I dont suggest having both on your team. Two fighting types is not such a good idea for Radomus and Ciel down on the line, but Heracross is superb against Radomus so I don't recommend dropping it just yet. After Luna or Samson though I suggest finding a replacement for it (though moxie Heracross will still be useful against Terra). A bug type worthy of consideration I think is Escavalier since it will deal with Mewtwo without having to resort to focus sash provided they didn't change its moveset to have a fire type move. It also walls Ciel's Altaria though it will be dead weight against Charlotte. A leader I foresee having difficulties with is Amaria, since Blaziken will be useless against her and only Hydreigon (weak to ice) and Gyarados (which can't learn dive I think) will be good against her. A pokemon with Blizzard can help against her (and Charlotte too but an ice type will be useless against her fire types). A cheese strategy for her is to use a water absorb pokemon with freeze dry, I used Lapras and it worked great against everything bar her own Lapras. Also Shedinja with toxic but you probably have heard of that (it doesn't even have to be leveled up that one) . Anything with wide guard will do well against Charlotte and Hardy. A great duo I recommend is a sand stream mon with Excadrill, I used Hippowdon and it also counters Titania's hail, though I don't see how you could fit it in your team with Aegislash and Blaziken already weak to ground and adding Excadrill to the team too to have half the team weak to it. I think you'll be fine against Titania though, what with Aegislash Blaziken and Gyarados, just teach someone brick break, probably Blaziken. I suppose every kind of weather plus speed abuser will be likewise broken, though I haven't used anything other than sand. A mon with toxic or toxic spikes will be useful against Terra, another problematic leader cause of her terrain, or a mon strong against her ground types with the support of electric/misty/psychic/grassy terrain, I used Greninja personally but I doubt you have access to it unless you were lucky with wonder trading. I suppose Gyarados with moxie can do well too with both support from terrain and poison support to force out the Quagsire. Gardevoir can learn misty terrain via a heart scale. Roserade can learn toxic spikes and is easy to get one with 31 IVs in speed because its base form Budew is a baby pokemon guarranteeing 3 perfect IVs. It can also learn grassy terrain via a heart scale. Using one layer of toxic spikes and surviving one attack to use grassy terrain would be ideal. Anyway a fast ice type with poison support shouldn't even need terrain theoretically. Leech seed or burn is also an option against her two tanks. Unfortunately pokemon like Hydreigon will be useless against her unless you go the terrain route. That's all I can think right now, there are probably many amazing pokemon you can use that I forgot to mention.
  8. Since you want a new grass type and a water type that doesn't lose to ground I recommend Ludicolo for role compression. I don't know if you can still do it, but a Lotad or Lombre could be found at Coral ward when the weather is rainy. For a good steel type, I second the Escavalier you can get from the trade in Spinel town. You see I don't recall a certain boss having a fire move and you should KO it in return with your bug move. Also I could be wrong since I never used it, but you should have access right now to Metagross for a good steel type. I don't think I need to list reasons why that mon is great. As for countering fighting types I definitely second Talonflame, this mon trivializes Samson with its acrobatics which gets a boost in his arena. Another mon I would suggest is Noivern, its move boomburst gets a boost in a certain arena and it's pretty fast, faster than Garchomp and that's important, though I doubt it will be able to KO a particular Garchomp, it should be helpful against the fighting and fire gyms that are coming up. Remember a water type won't be enough for the fire gym since the arena makes water moves less powerful. Freezing the arena with Blizzard is a good idea (that I have personally used in my ice monorun) , but you'll have to find a really fast ice or water type that knows the move. I think Jynx should do but double check if you will that it learns the move and that it will outspeed the leading mons before it will get obliterated by a fire move. And Jynx can help against the fighting gym too, just postpone it's evolution until it learns psychic at level 38 I think. And as it was suggested ice types have strong match ups in the following gyms. A pokemon with wide guard should be useful against the fire and rock gyms, which are double battles and also I suggest you at least have a pokemon in your rotation that can learn trick room. It could prove useful.
  9. I think basculin have a 5% chance of holding either one. I remember you could fish it at the Tanzan cove.
  10. Other than the good suggestions you got, another pokemon that is useful against Julia is Kricketune. You can get Kricketot in a house in Peridot ward if I recall, and make sure that it has the ability run away, cause when it evolves it will become technician. With fury cutter, you've got yourself a sweeper that is super effective also for the next gym. It falls off quickly after that though because of its poor stats and unlucky matchups, but for the early game, it's a powerhouse.
  11. You will need to update to the latest version of the game. Problem is the last version isn't available yet. Fortunately for you, the community release of the game is coming and you should have access to that. Read here.
  12. The mons I have ready for battle are -Greninja the pokemon I chose as my starter, though my original starter was a shiny with crappy ivs so I replaced him -Ampharos used it through the run, when I needed hax this bulky mon didn't disappoint with discharge -Mienshao a speedy fighting type. Used Hariyama and Heracross before I decided to place him on my team -Nidoking crazy good coverage. Used him throughout the run. -Mamoswine as soon as I could get it I placed him on the team. Used him interchangeably with Nidoking because of the type overlap. -Arcanine used him throughout the run. -Braviary added him in the team before Samson, I taught him tailwind for utility. -Serperior added him in the team because I had trouble with Amaria, leaf storm spam. -Gardevoir got her through wonder trade and added her in the team, thank Orion whoever you are. -Hippowdon added her to the team to counter Titania's hail. -Excadrill since I had a Hippowdon I decided to train up this mon too. -Altaria I bred him specifically for the last gym, haven't used him in battle yet. I was lucky enough to get him shiny. I have some other mons bred and and some even EV trained, but that is my main squad I have ready to tackle episode 19 with.
  13. 1 This one is up to you really. The new patch that is coming will be the final one meaning the game will be completed after that. 2 If you have trouble with money, there are trainers you can re battle as many times as you'd like inside the Grand Hall. Be sure to collect department store stickers and the mining kit from the underground (you will need rock smash for that one)! 3 Nothing you can do other than saving often and yes consulting a guide is also an option. A guide should also help you finding rare and strong pokemon since you're saying you're struggling.
  14. Well Fire Punch is strictly better than Blaze Kick so it's a choice between two.
  15. No it's not. For more information you can check here. It'll be a while before you can get one.
  16. I second what the others have said. Noibat is too weak for Reborn and Weepinbell needs a grass stone to evolve, which is hard to come by, and would like sun to function, which will clash with mega Swampert in the future. Tangrowth can help with speed control if you teach it stun spore and is a pretty decent grass type. Tsareena is also a pretty decent mon to use and it doesn't require a stone which is a plus. Roserade does require a stone to use, but is pretty powerfull. Ludicolo also needs a stone, but synergises with mega Swampert in the future as a secondary swift swimmer if you do decide to run a rain team. I'd say use a Venomoth to replace Noibat, but Venomoth can't use its poison stab in Reborn as the related TM is not available, so I won't recommend it. Swalot is a worthy consideration in my opinion instead, as it evolves relatively early and can take care of the grass and fighting types Noibat would have been tasked to. Though it is lacking on the stats department and you'd like to replace it eventually I fear. Which would be a good time to bring back Noibat to the team, fully evolved of course. Anyway Granbull is pretty good in Reborn if slow, and Floatzel is fast and strong for this part of the game but you already have a water type in Swampert, which though slower is also strong and has a dual typing. Finally Jellicent is decent for the upcoming fights, which are fire and fighting (with two fighting-psychic types), though not as good against the ghost types.
  17. You really should teach a physical fire move to Infernape, especially if you EV train your pokemon. You can teach it fire punch eventually in the renovated city of Reborn, but right now I think you can teach it flare blitz in the move relearner with a heart scale.
  18. Sure I'd like one. I've got the following 5iv pokemon to give you Wingul (minus attack), Lillipup (minus special attack), Froakie (with 30 attack), Vulpix (minus attack), Hippopotas (minus special attack), Charmander shiny (minus special attack), Charmander (minus attack), Charmander with Dragon Dance (minus special attack), Axew (minus special attack), Swablu with Roost and Feather dance (minus special attack).
  19. Why is your Diglett not a Dugtrio yet? If you evolve it will probably out speed. Nidoqueen is pretty fast that's why it out speeds many of your mons. A good place to EV train for speed is under the Opal bridge that you can get to by going right from Peridot ward. If you go in the dark spots wild lvl 5 Woobat will appear, there are two dark spots there, it's pretty convenient.
  20. I suggest screens Klefki with a bunch of set-up sweepers. So the other slots on the team would be something like Volcarona, Aegislash, Lucario, Naganadel, and Mamoswine for the last gym (the dragon type).
  21. Okay then I'll give you a link stone. And if you want, you can give the mon you'll trade me a fossil so I can revive it for you and trade it back real quick.
  22. Hm I can trade you a protector and a link stone I guess. And I can breed you a mon or two if you're willing to train it up from level 1.
  23. Why do you need help against fire types? Anyway you can train a Lycanroc it's strong and fast against fire types. Rhyperior is available a little later provided that you have the items to evolve it (protector I think it was called?). Also you will receive Surf and by that point you must have a good rod so you will have a decent selection of water types to choose from. Finally there is a clown that can be rebattled on the Agate Circus, on the right of the entrance to the Circus.
  24. Now that you mentioned those other pokemon, can't believe I forgot Jynx for the psychic types. Smoochum can be found in the cave underneath Shade's gym, only careful to evolve it into Jynx After it learns Psychic. Jynx doesn't learn Psychic via level up, but Smoochum does, how weird .
  25. You can find Munna in the wasteland during morning I think. Espurr on the Aqua and Magma hideouts. And lastly you get a Gothita as reward for cleaning the library in Beryl ward. For ground types there are Bunnelby and Phanpy at Beryl ward, but I suggest you use something like Nidoking that knows Earth Power, seeing Earthquake doesn't work in the gym field. You can find Nidoran male at the game corner at Onyx ward and Sandygast at Apophyll beach. For steel types there's Togedemaru found at Shade's gym and maybe Wormadam trash cloak with quiver dance can be useful on this gym.
