  1. Venoshock is found in the Byxbysion Wasteland Secret Grotto - where you fight the Trubbish gang and Mr. Bigglesworth I think? You have to activate all the blue pillars in the wasteland to get there (like you did in Corey's gym). Also, while I understand the breeding complaint for Feraligatr (I bred 25 'mons while waiting for e17 and I am actually just dead inside LOL), trust me: it's totally worth it. Dragon Dance Feraligatr sweeps the remaining non-doubles teams (mostly) effortlessly and it has a good matchup against every leader post-E16. Trick room should have an average base speed of at most 65 I'd say - a lot of leaders have base 70 or 80 'mons themselves, and often some slower ones. Some bulkier 'mons like Cofagrigus and Reuniclus can run OTR (offensive trick room) sets that just use the move to sweep rather than to support, though.
  2. Magneton is fine until you can get Magnezone due to the upcoming matchups with leaders/other important characters, so don't let that dissuade you. Escavalier and Steelix are also very fine picks. You're close to getting Abra I believe. That could replace Meowstic. Alternatively, Gardevoir and Reuniclus are great Psychic types as well. Unfezant can be replaced... by pretty much any other flying type. Braviary, Staraptor and Hawlucha can be obtained soon, Crobat is also a solid choice though you'll notice it fall off around the 12th badge or so due to its rather low power. Roserade is amazing, though you should try breeding another and evolving it later. Toxic Spikes by level up and Venoshock by TM, Magical Leaf by level up (it has Technician, so this is basically Energy Ball with 20 PP!!) or alternatively Giga Drain to survive longer, and then a filler move - Spikes by breeding with Cacnea, Extrasensory with Nuzleaf, Leaf Storm with Shiftry, Hidden Power by TM (basically a Surf of any type due to Technician; you can try breeding for one you like - I recommend Fire, Fighting, Water, Rock, or Ground), or whatever else strikes your fancy. Once you can obtain Kingdra, get Dragon Dance on it and breed with Feraligatr so Feraligatr gets Dragon Dance. Other than that, teach it Water Pledge (tutor in the Lapis Ward) while waiting for Surf, and replace Surf once you get Aqua Tail or Waterfall (whichever comes first). Waterfall is stronger due to Sheer Force so teach that once you get it. You can also teach it Ice Punch via Move Tutor later down the line. Arcanine would benefit from Thunder Fang, Flare Blitz, Extremespeed, or Outrage in place of Rock Smash. Also, I personally prefer Heat Wave over Flamethrower to further focus on Arcanine's dominance over double battles. Other generally good 'mons near your point in the game (or well before it) include Vaporeon/Sylveon/Espeon/Jolteon, Nidoking/queen, Mienshao, Typhlosion, Hitmonlee/chan, Machamp, Sharpedo, Houndoom, Gigalith grab it before e17 makes it rarer because of Sand Stream and Noivern.
  3. It's half that iirc. 2 IVs = 1 stat point. This also means that 30 vs 31 makes no difference so you can get the best Hidden Power without sacrificing any stat points.
  4. f. At level 100, 1 IV = 1 point in a stat (with the obvious exception of Shedinja's HP).
  5. Gardevoir is post-Shade and Shuckle is too... he would need to trade. Also he already won.
  6. step 1: lead with blaziken and arcanine (if it has close combat) or toxicroak (if it doesn't) step 2: SE spam everything into oblivion
  7. I thought Vulpix was obtained with a Stunfisk trade when you first get to Agate?? I don't remember the massage ladies ever offering me a Vulpix. then again I literally never get massages and only go there for the soothe bell
  8. sharpedo would be a great choice, yeah it's another dark type but you don't have water and sharpedo actually doesn't share weaknesses with drapion (not like it matters with 70/40/40 base defenses lol). speed boost destiny bond is mean too. it guarantees 2 kills if you can get the shark in safely
  9. for politoed go with hp/spdef, its spatk is kinda bad. damp rock as item of course. surf or hydro pump and hypnosis are all you really need, icy wind is good coverage and the last move can be filler. honestly though, I'd wait for E17 and just use Pelliper to set rain, it's sooooo much better. hurricane/hydro/filler/filler (roost and u-turn once we get the TMs) and fully invest in two of hp/defense/speed/spatk. as for swampert, it depends. if you're getting a rain setter though then I'd recommend physically offensive, we're bound to get the mega stone eventually and swift swim = 150 base attack = rip. if you want out-of-rain use then a lead/tank swampert with hp/atk or hp/defense with stealth rock is a respectable option EDIT: if you're setting rain then I'd recommend Hydration+Rest Vaporeon with Aurora Beam/Hydro Pump/filler (Hidden Power, Wish, Toxic and Surf are your best options)
  10. Seel used Transform! ...In all seriousness, yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing, though I'll skip Sandbox in this case since the grind isn't too bad with a team of 6.
  11. You could search up pretty much any Dragonforce song and chances are it's on my music playlist. My favorite to listen to (singing is a whole different beast) right now is...
  12. If this is advice for Noel, you're one win too late
  13. Basically this ^ Though if you want some recommendations on good Pokemon for where you're at, I think you're close to being able to obtain Abra (which would probably replace Gardevoir, or you can get Musharna and when Gen 7 hits give it Psychic Terrain via Move Relearner and just do OP Psychic Spam with all 3), and should be able to obtain Eevee (can replace literally anything you feel is lagging behind really, best evos are probably Sylveon, Espeon, Vaporeon and Umbreon). Also, Drapion can badly poison with Poison Fang (50% chance I think), the move Toxic Spikes (I'm 90% sure it gets this) and the Toxic TM (from an E16 sidequest).
  14. I'd actually go more with how current gen PU uses Lanturn, as a bulky, offensive pivot. Not really good for Switch mode but if you're playing Set it works wonders. Hydro Pump, Dazzling Gleam, Volt Switch, and Discharge with Choice Specs (from the Charmander event, although since you have Goodra I think you'll need to wait to be able to do that one? Assault Vest and Splash/Zap Plate also work). If you really want a wall variant, you should probably wait for the Scald TM, since Lanturn has very poor physical bulk and a burn fixes that up quite nicely.
  15. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Trivago- er, Hotel California- HOTEL REBORN. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Reborn, sir! Grind coins at the game corner for a Shinx - it's totally worth it, Guts Facade on a Pokemon that isn't Raticate is always cool
  16. Electric-absorption abilities are semi-rare and there's no guarantee that if you have a Pokemon that can have one, that it will have one. Same with Keen Eye, but a bit more common. Suction Cups is on very few Pokemon. Ingrain is terrible and if you have to switch (which you likely will because Xatu > Grass Types) it dooms you. Then there's the fact that most of the time these are not desirable abilities. There will be people who look to make sure their Pokemon are at least close enough to 'optimal'. Then there's the problem of the matchup itself - see my Ingrain argument for an example of that. Not to mention the fact that this doesn't really promote any creativity in strategy. In order to not get haxed to death you would need to ALWAYS have that one 'mon. I've played a lot of fan-made and ROM hacked Pokemon games and I can't think of ANY that are as restrictive during boss battles. Even in the few cases where a battle is restrictive, it's usually not because of insane RNG rolls in the opponent's favor. It's because the battle is overly difficult. Again, the Final Stand idea is great. I just think it should have reliable counters that one is likely enough to discover and potentially consider raising. Not many people want to raise another Pokemon just to beat a single leader and then put it in the PC forever.
  17. Cool final stand idea, but does it really have to be as RNG-focused and outright uncompetitive as possible? 6x para, 2x acc drop for the rest of the battle, random switching? Give the player ways to play around it rather than having to go "oh great I got swept because I COULD DO LITERALLY NOTHING"
  18. Speaking of pokemon good for the next gyms, a Feraligatr with Dragon Dance (breed with Kingdra line)/Ice Punch (tutor)/Waterfall/Filler (Surf for Hardy and Saphira, Dive for Amaria and Superpower (tutor) for Titania are what I would recommend) has an advantageous or neutral matchup against every remaining gym! -Amaria: set up Dragon Dances on the water surface, bring it under for the sweep. -Titania: Dragon Dance on all the Steel moves you resist, if she ends up having too many Electric moves just come in on something slow and click Superpower. -Saphira: has Surf to remove the field, good bulk to survive and actually do so, and Ice Punch to hit hard if it's still alive when the field is gone. -Hardy: Water > Rock, resists Hardy's main coverage which will be Fire. Easy sweeps are more likely than not!
  19. Here's a mon nobody has mentioned yet: Crobat. -Double Team (TM) -Substitute (TM, not necessary but helps a lot) -Cross Poison (from the Move Relearner, use to KO Togekiss and save Acrobatics PP, although if your Crobat has Hidden Power Ice use it instead because then you don't need the PP, you can check Hidden Power type at one of the Circus' clowns. You should have the TM from beating Noel earlier on) -Acrobatics (Level-up move, has 165 BP in the field before STAB and unlike normal Acrobatics you can hold an item without a damage penalty, it's basically click to win against everything but Gliscor) Basically the strat is to set up 1 Double Team with your speed, and then use Substitute until she misses (and/or just heal), then keep setting up until you've used Double Team 6 times (and a Substitute up if you have it). Cross Poison on Togekiss (or Acrobatics if you have Hidden Power Ice), Acrobatics on everything else. Use Hidden Power Ice on Gliscor if you have it because that thing is a bit of a pain to kill sometimes. Even if Gliscor or Altaria end your sweep, you've still taken out most of her team and should have little trouble from there on out. Recommended item: Black Sludge (if you have it; can be found on wild Trubbish, Grimer etc. though idk if any wild 'mons in the Agate arc hold it), Sharp Beak, or Leftovers (I think there's a slight chance that the trade-exclusive Munchlax you can get in the city you fought Charlotte in is holding one). Focus Sash works too if you're worried about Noivern bopping you through your Substitute using Boomburst, just make sure in that case that you're on full HP before starting your sweep.
  20. Mega Steelix - absurd physical bulk, Gyro Ball, and access to Curse lets you cheese more wins than you really should be able to. Good matchups against Titania, Hardy to some extent, and Saphira to some extent. Feraligatr - Has a positive matchup against every remaining leader. Good bulk, Dragon Dance, Sheer Force. Arcanine - Good all-around stats, Intimidate, and a very diverse movepool both offensively and defensively. A solid choice for any team. Should be effective against Titania. Alakazam - Man, so many people overrate Gardevoir. Alakazam has a slightly worse movepool, but isn't much frailer and hits a hell of a lot harder and faster. Not particularly effective against the remaining leaders, though Hardy's team is likely to have low overall Special Defense even in the Sand, so it should put in work there. Archeops - Step 1: click Rock Slide. Step 2: there is no second step. Unfortunately has no good matchups incoming, but it invalidates so many battles charlotte it's not even funny. Hydreigon - Not technically obtainable, but you can ask for someone to trade you the final Dark Matter and then give them a bred Deino back. If you want a more "legitimate" pick, try Goodra or Dragalge. Good matchups against Amaria and 50/50 against Saphira.
  21. Snivy is still limited unfortunately
  22. Candy vendor in the "Grand Hall?" always has Blue Moon Ice Cream.
