  1. A lot has happened but alas. we are near the end of Octopath Traveler.

It was a journey full of sleepless nights literally yet, we are thou made it to the finale.

Catch a glimpse of the final 4! The team that will be facing the Ruins of Horburg dungeon!

    Spoiler

    TEAMS    TEAM

Picking these four was a whole debate (with mostly myself) in the level of the supreme court I mean you really can't comprehend how long it took smh.

H'aanit > Olberic = Because of her summons and she's forever my main.

Cyrus > Tressa = This one was reallyyyy hard because Tressa had been the most useful till now. Cyrus just made the cut because of his analyze ability and great elemental attack stat.

Therion > Alfyn = Although I loved Alfyn's Concoct, Runelord was just really meant for Therion imo. Transfer rune really works well with his skills. I also had planned Tressa as Runelord, but Therion existed.

Ophilia > Primrose = Nggghhh I struggled with this one as well but Ophilia got that healer skills on the back already and she's soooo good as a support.

That's it! I'll update once I you know, miraculously survive the final dungeon. Going through the end game is always bittersweet but the excitement is always the same.

I'll surely miss OT! I'm getting the feels already. But let's just forget about the grinding part thank you.

...I misinterpreted 'Transfer Rune works really well with [Therion's] skills" as "Transfer Rune interacts with Therion's skills directly", and was really confused until I realized that were probably referring to Armor Corrosive's ability to increase the damage output of everyone across the board. Whoops. Bit of an important distinction, since Transfer Rune can affect some of the Travelers' skills the same way it effects the Runes themselves.

...Including Olberic's Incite, which kinda defeats the whole point of the move in the first place~

I will say that from a pure optimization standpoint, only one of your main team is in their "ideal Job". Though that isn't exactly too big a deal, seeing as I've yet to see even the most stringent powergamers bring themselves to give the Sorcerer to anyone other than Cyrus anyway (outside of themed runs that 'ban' him, of course). Guess nobody wants to lose out on Dr. Strange Lite, huh?

Though it is probably worth noting that said powergamers wouldn't be caught dead having someone as a Starseer in their final team- even with Shooting Stars (three elements, all at once in a single spell! What are you fools doing?!) and Steorra's Prophecy wrecking havoc, they still prefer to treat it as little more than a rocky road they have to suffer through in order to reach BP Eater. It's just kinda sad, really...

Anyway, good luck storming the Gate! Things are pretty tricky on the other side, but probably not a whole lot you haven't seen before, so be sure to give it all out!

...I do have one last bit of advice, but it is technically a mechanical spoiler, so don't open the tab if you want to go in completely fresh:

      Spoiler

Don't neglect the other 4 party members- you'll need all eight Travelers to overcome the Gate at last!

Yo, Steorra and Winnehild’s divine skill are so OP I could probably OHKO a single dungeon boss in using one of these moves. I do agree that I rarely use most of the Starseer’s skills but her divine skill and shooting star are so useful in battle sometimes and they do the job. So powergamers, you can’t sit with us.

      Spoiler

Don’t worry, I don’t plan to neglect them lol in fact I did level them up all the way to atleast 63-ish in case I ever need them and huzzah, I will do need them lol.

Thank you for the insight. Yea, my team is not really uber material for competitive cause so I’ll probably be switching it up and play with some synergies a bit more. Though I’ll probably stick with this one.

Thanks for accompanying through the end Autumn in a way 😁 You kinda became my mentor this whole playthrough lol

Funny you should mention Winnehild's Battle Cry- that skill on Ha'anit is the strongest attack in the game~ Well, with a little bit of extra setup, anyway. But even without that, it is still a terrifyingly powerful barrage of blades from seemingly all directions, and it's really, really hard to stand strong against something like that!

Ah, don't worry about it! It's been pretty fun being to help out on my end.
