Crustle has access to counter which would be a great help against Sampson's Ace mon, i think counter is an egg move though :/ also Bronzong can help against charlotte with its Heat proof ability

1/ No its not mandatory to have great or perfect IVs or even Ev train your mons to finish the game, but if you do it'll make the game slightly easier 2/a- i'm not sure but th shiny chance is much more higher than the cannon games, the same for starters i think b- its random, i havent met an NPC with a shiny but i could be wrong c- you can see all shinies in the graphics-> battlers folder inside Reborn (i mean the game) 4/yes there is a thread called: requeest-a-mon thread where you can request a specific mon to start with/there are trainers that you can battle as much as you like to grind up, they're in the grand hall 5- no but getting magikarp is a long event that doesnt end in this episode 6- i think a fire type would be the wisest decision
