Just saw that a fanfic (series) I had  been following for a while (at least whenever it updated) finally got it's plug pulled after not getting updated for a year (though I guess there is a slim hope since it's "Indefinite hiatus). 

I would be more disappointed if I wasn't so used to stories getting abandoned before completion because of one reason or another; hell, at least this author made a formal 'goodbye, sorry, and thanks for all the fish support' post before leaving instead of disappearing into the void without a whisper.  Just an aspect of following stories I suppose, even non-fanfic stories at times
