@Ojama Yellow Well Bibs, I did the troublesome Idea I suggested yesterday and went ahead and aimed to get 40 wins in the Ranked Duels (for the second R-ticket) before this season ended............then I decided to go further and nearly drove myself insane getting to 60 wins for another SR ticket. Still easier than waiting on Kaiba to drop one and spending all my white keys on it.
With how many time I had to eat an "Enemy Controller" today I almost don't want to spend this on a third enemy controller but practicality forces me to. I really wish there was an easy way to get 'Disruption Wall' too because damn did that cause some headaches.
Spoilerthe fall
Getting to Gold 4 with this deck really surprised me (with it jumping between 3 and 4 a few times), even though a series of losses at the end made fall back down to Gold 2. Oh, there were losses.......so many losses.......but I would still say my wind rate throughout might have been 40%. I was even able beat two or three Alien decks and a few Sylvs, mostly through surprise.
I have to say more than anything that "Gravity Lash" saved my ass more times than I can count; it's probably the only reason I was able to get in about a third of those wins, tbh. Still, I would say the bricked about 10% of the time, but what to you expect from a cobbled together deck from someone with no deckmaking skills? This was made to take on A.I., not humans with creative thinking.
Spoilermost of the stuff remained the same as when I started with PVP three or four days ago, with minor tweaks as I got new cards
Side note 1: after unlocking him, I have unironically grown to love using Chazz and his Ojamas. I probably won't bring that to PVP but damn is it fun to mess with the A.I. I even did this to the Vagabond, with full Ojama representation; are you proud of me Bibsy?
it was pure good luck, but don't ruin this for me Bibs!SpoilerAlso, isn't the Vagabond supposed to ask for people's friend code when you beat him? Four times in total now, and he hasn't asked once.
Side note 2: I still lol that this thing is Secret Rare. The on Duel Links.......it just seems so out of place with all the other SRs.

With how quick Cyber Dragon can get on the field, I don't blame them either........and I don't even have a full grasp of how annoying cyber angels are/were (didn't encounter any in gold or lower) and only know how annoying Cyber and Cyber Twin are by how thoroughly they beat me most of the times.
Fucking double attacking TwinIt's definitely a funny situation, since most of the other forms suck, with Chimeritech Overdragon being situational at best
if I remember correctly. Not sure how that translated into Duel links. -
cyber angels have been nerfed into the ground, with both dakini and machine angel ritual getting semi-limited. and through the way the banlist works in duel links, you can only put two dakini, two machine angel rituals, or one dakini and one machine angel ritual in your deck. the fact that theyre still viable is horrifying.
basically a matchup against the horror that was pre-nerf mind scan cyber angels went as following. you go first, summon monster, set mirror wall, set windstorm, end turn. youre horrified because you know whats coming and didnt draw econ. keep in mind that pre-mind scan allowed you to see your opponents facedowns as long as you have 3000 or more lp.
his turn and the fun starts. he summons senju of the thousand hands, searches his deck for cyber angel idaten. proceeds to use machine angel absolute ritual to ritual summon cyber angel idaten with cyber angel benten as a tribute. idatens effect allows you to search your deck or graveyard for any ritual spell card and add it to your hand when ritual summoned, he chooses machine angel ritual. then, cyber angel bentens effect allows him you, when used as a tribute for a ritual summon, search your deck for a light fairy monster. cyber angel dakini gets added to the hand. he activates machine angel ritual to tribute the idaten on the field and sonic bird in his hand to ritual summon cyber angel dakini. idatens effect, when used as a tribute for a ritual summon, automatically pops. all ritual monsters your opponent controls gain 1000 attack. the mind scanner doublechecks your backrow. no econ. perfect. cyber angel dakinis first effect pops. youre forced to choose a monster on your side of the field and send it to the graveyard. you have no choice but to send your only monster. your monster field is empty, and youre faced with a 3700 attack dakini whose second effect gives piercing damage to all ritual monsters your opponent controls, and a 1400 attack senju. you could use windstorm, but really, whats the point. you cant even destroy dakini next turn, because by banishing machine angel ritual from the gy, hes able to negate the destruction by battle or effect of a light fairy monster he controls once. moreover, dakinis third effect allows him to add a ritual monster or machine angel ritual from his gy to his hand in his end phase, meaning he gets back either idaten for another +1000 next turn, or gets back machine angel ritual to set up for the summon of another dakini. as you realize how hopeless life is against this glorified solitaire deck, you decide to not pop your backrow to end your suffering quickly.
and that is the story of how I get nam flashbacks whenever someone says cyber angel.
