You all will be going to bed early tonight. Adam: What the hell?! For what reason?! Xen Guard: We’re going to have a visitor coming 1st thing in the morning. We’re going to need you all to be in top shape before that happens. Saki: Matthew, I have a really bad feeling about this! Matthew: I know Saki! I know! I do too! Saki: Valarie told me about Madame X coming soon and if that visitor they’re talking about is her… Matthew: We are fucked right now. Saki: Ohh no. Braixen won’t know when to disable the signal herself… Ugh! If only there was a way out of these cells… I started to look around my tiny cell for any way to escape. I looked under the bed for a possible trap door of any kind. I threw the books off of the bookshelf hoping there was some kind of hidden switch or something. I even knocked over the potted plant hoping for something to happen. Nothing. There was nothing. I was so mad at this point. I went over to the wall in front of me and hit it out of anger. Then I noticed something. This bit of the wall here was crumbling. I stood back and looked at it. The whole thing was crumbling. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t noticed this before. I also couldn’t believe Team Xen here didn’t notice that. I took out the mining kit Valarie had given and me and started to chip away at the wall. In a matter of minutes, the wall crumbled and I was able to escape. Matthew: Ha… Hahaha… I-I did it! Saki: What was that noise Matthew?! Matthew: I can escape from here Saki! Saki: You have?! Great! You gotta find a way to Braixen right now! And when you do find her, tell her to cut the wires right now! We won’t have another chance! Matthew: Right! We’re gonna get out of here tonight! I looked through the hole to make sure that this wasn’t some kind of trap set by Team Xen. When I seen there was nothing wrong, I started to walk through the cave. It was kind of smokey in this cave and warm as well. I came across another cave hole. When I went through it however, I was surprised to see that there was someone here and they seemed to have made this area a livable area as well. When the person turned around, she jumped back. As we both looked at each other, we realized we knew each other. Piano Lady: Hey. Wait a minute… Aren’t you that kid who was on the S.S. Oceana? Matthew: Weren’t you the person playing the piano on the S.S. Oceana? Piano Lady: You are him! Matthew: And you’re her! You saved me on that day. I carefully went out of the cave which did in fact lead me to the quarry. Just as she said, there were guards out there looking for me. I had to do a lot of sneaking around, hiding and running around to keep them from seeing me. It took a while but I was able to get to the hidden grotto. I went to the shack but couldn’t find Braixen on there. I figured she was inside the cave. So I rushed inside and sure enough, she was there. She was shocked seeing me running towards her. Braixen: Matthew? What are you doing here? I thought there was a cell search going on? Matthew: Listen to me Braixen. I can’t explain right now but we need to cut the piped right now. Braixen: But I thought the plan was to wait til tomorrow? Matthew: The plan has changed! We need to do it now! Braixen: Ok. Ok. Well I suppose we can do it now. But there’s something I have to tell you really quick. Matthew: What is it? Braixen: Upon further investigation, it seems like the letters on the boxes represent what its powering up. The ones with the L controls the turrets and the ones with the R controls the antennas. Turns out that some antennas are hidden inside turrets but this is where things get weird. Matthew: What do you mean weird? Braixen: I’m not sure when it happened but it looks like someone already cut through turret power supplies. Matthew: Really? Hmm… Braixen: I don’t know who could’ve done it… I’ve been here the whole time but no 1 passed through here in that time. Matthew: That is weird but if they did that, then that means they’re on our side right? Let’s go finish the job then. Braixen: Yea. Let’s go and find those boxes we need to zap away. Braixen and I went on the search to find the boxes. When we did, she used her attacks to cut through the boxes and disconnect them. After that, we went over to the pipes that connected the machine directly to them which were by the stairs. We went over to them and broke through them. At last it was done. Matthew: So that means we can use our Pokemon right? Braixen: You should be able to now. The signal should be gone by now. Turret: WARNING! Nullification signal is now offline! Warning! Nullification signal is now offline! Matthew: Fuck… Braixen: Uh oh… I didn’t think we’d be notified out loud about this! ??? What the hell is going on? Matthew: And it’s about to get worse. The magnetic door opened up. 2 people came out. I recognized Madelis but the other 1 took me a few moments to realize who she was. Then it clicked. She was the other person that was on the S.S. Ocean when it was being attacked. Matthew: You! So you’re the other 1 from the S.S. Oceana attack right? Nastasia: Ugh. It would be you… Madelis: Suddenly I’m not too surprised either. Mom: Matthew! Matthew: Mom! Nastasia: You knew about this didn’t you? Is that why you were so adamant about taking care if the situation by yourself? Mom: Does it matter now? Nastasia: …A whole lot is making sense right now. Madelis: You heard the alarm right? You all can use your Pokemon now? Matthew: Yep and I plan on using mine against you right here and now! After I made sure that the cave was Xen free, I left and went to catch up with mother and Braixen. As I was getting closer to the field, I could hear Pokemon battles going on. When I snuck past a tree, the air was all foggy and there was a red light lighting down towards us. This was now a battlefield. I could see mom standing there. Matthew: Mom. There you are. It’s a mess out here isn’t it? Mom: It really is. I knew it was gonna get messy but not this bad. Matthew: Hey. Where’d Braixen go? Mom: She said she’d go on ahead but the guards have caught up with us. Matthew: Ohh? Is that so? Good. I’ve been meaning to let out my frustrations. Seems like this will be the perfect opportunity. Any guard we saw, we went up to them and battled them. Not only was it good training for my Pokemon but this way, there would be less enemies for everyone else to deal with. While it felt great battling alongside my mother, for the 1st time ever might I add, I could tell that if she really wanted to, she could have blown these guards back all by herself. Her Pokemon were far stronger than even mine. When we cleared the area of enemies, we went to the castle front. As we passed underneath the bridge, Saki stopped us. Saki: Matthew! Matthew: Saki! You guys are out? Saki: Hell yea we are! Now I want to see every head on a spike! Matthew: Uhh… Mom: So… is that 1 of your friends? Matthew: Yea. She’s weird but it grows on you. Saki: That’s right! Matthew: A friend of mine I met at a place called Sheridan Village. When we were captured and brought here, they took her somewhere and tortured her… Mom: What?! Th-That’s horrible! I ran up towards the highest part of the castle I could go and entered the doors. Soon, I was in the room Neved was in that time I was in “trouble.” The doors in front of me were unlocked. I went through and was about to continue when Emma came face to face with me. Matthew: Emma! It’s you! Emma: …So be it. Don’t hold back. Matthew: Never. Now I can get revenge for Valarie for how you treated her! The battle between us started. While the battle between us wasn’t difficult, I noticed something very familiar about her Pokemon that she used. All 3 of them were shiny. The only other person that had a team of Shiny Pokemon was Melia. But this girls’ voice was deeper than Melia’s. So who was she and why did she have a team of shinies? She didn’t seem to bothered that she lost the battle though. Matthew: …Who are you really? Emma: …Looks like I couldn’t defeat you. I guess that’s to be expected. I tried my best but that wasn’t enough. Go on and do what you must. I still have things I have to attend to. -starts walking away- Matthew: Hey! I asked you something! Are you listening to me?! She continued to walk away from me and eventually went through the door and closed it. I wanted to know who she was but I had more important things to do. I continued through another door and I was back outside. I was even higher up on the castle. I saw some stairs and started to climb them. About half way up though, I heard someone shout my name. ???: Matthew! Matthew: Huh? -turns around- Who’s th… Aelita: It’s good to see you again Matt. Matthew: Aelita… -hugs her- Aelita: -hugs back- I’m fine Matt. Matthew: I know but I’ve just… I’ve missed you. Aelita: I’ve missed you too but let’s just skip the cheesy reunion stuff ok? We got a job to do. Matthew: Hell yea we do. Neved is just up ahead and we need to give him some major payback! Aelita: I’m gonna make him regret what he’s done to me. Matthew: Wait. Hold on. How are you here? Someone told me that he was holding you captive. Aelita: Well that’s clearly not the case. That doesn’t matter right now though. Let’s end this! The 2 of us ran up the stairs together. At the top of them was another door. When we entered it, we noticed how different it looked from the rest of the castle. The room was giving us a weird vibe and that wasn’t a good thing. We walked up to the end of the room where Neved was. A huge chunk of the castle’s wall was missing. You could look out and see the clouds, the stars, the trees. Everything. Neved was standing there, looking out towards the outside. Aelita: Neved, it’s all over now. Matthew: Soon, this entire place will be in shambles. Aelita: But we’re not leaving until we’ve settled the score. Neved: Is that why you came up here? To waste my time? Matthew: You’re the 1 wasting our time! I don’t know what the whole point of capturing us and keeping us here was for but it’s done. Aelita: Before anything happens though, I have just 1 question to ask you Neved. Why? Why put me through all of that? Was there any real point? Despite us having the number advantage against him, his Pokemon were very powerful. If either of us decided to battle against him 1 on 1, I don’t think we would stand a chance against him. We were able to defeat him, although almost all of our Pokemon had fainted. The only 1 left that could do any kind of battling was my Monferno but even it was tired from that battle. Neved: I cannot believe that you children of such power. It truly infuriates me to no end knowing that I’ve lost to you 2. Matthew: Well accept it Neved. You’ve lost. Neved seemed completely fine though. As if he was expecting this to happen. The Yveltal came flying down towards us. We saw someone jump off of the beats back and landed onto the ground right in front of us. We couldn’t see their face for it was being covered with a mask. I felt absolute terror just seeing this person in front of us. Neved: Hahaha. Matthew and Aelita, this is Madame X. Aelita: This is- Matthew: Madame X? Madame X: Silence. All of you. Neved: But- Madame X: I said silence. You are in no position to talk Neved. I trusted you with this establishment and look at what you’ve made of it. Disgusting. Absolutely and utterly disgusting. It seemed confused about what had happened but when it noticed me, it started to sway somewhat and seemed kind of shy to look at me directly in the face. (Ignore Neved. Madame X: If you paid attention to what I said earlier, I’m not even going to waste my time having Yveltal waste a move on this terrible excuse for a Pokemon. Just as Madame X said, she had her Yveltal uses Struggle. While it did massive damage onto Wobbuffet, the Pokemon still clung on. With it’s Counter attack, it was not only able to deal back some massive damage but also knock out the Yveltal. Everyone in the room was in utter shock. On the 2nd day, nothing really happened except that I officially caught Wobbuffet. I caught it with a Love Ball because of its feelings for me. I know that is probably weird but it felt appropriate. I also officially nicknamed the Pokemon Wuvvuffet. As soon as she was caught, I brought her back out since I actually enjoyed her company. Absolutely nothing happened on the 3rd day. I picked it up and started to read it. It was a letter from my mom. As I continued reading, tears started to swell up in my eyes. She was able to say I love you to me 1 last time. When I was finished, I had tears running down my face. I tried to wipe them off as best I could. I put the note down and picked up the 2 PokeBalls. I breathed in and out to try to calm myself down. I threw the pair of PokeBalls up into the air and out popped the 2 Pokemon. When I was reading the note, there was a bit in there that kind of confused me. She wrote that they were a gift not only from her but also her Sylveon. When the 2 Pokemon emerged, I soon realized how it was from Sylveon as well. Shiny Eevees: Eevee Ee! The next day, I woke up. It felt like I had been asleep for 12 hours or more. I got out of bed, stretched and was getting mentally prepared for whatever we were gonna be doing today to get out of this situation. When I looked over to the cell, I could see that it was opened. That was very strange. Was someone in my cell area with me? Or was it just open to let the prisoners out and about? I looked up at a clock and could see that it was 2 in the afternoon. I literally slept for 17 hours. Was I really that tired? I couldn’t believe it. I ran out and ran up the stairs. When I made it to the top, Valarie was there. It seemed she was waiting for me to come up there. Valarie: There you are. Geez. You’re a heavy sleeper. Matthew: Sorry. I have no idea how I slept for that long. I didn’t even feel that tired. Valarie: Well you must have been really tired. Saki, Adam and I all tried to wake you up but we couldn’t do it. Matthew: Damn… This whole thing must be really getting to me then. I think it hit some trees. We should go check and make sure there’s not a fire. We got prepared for whatever trouble was about to come through those doors. But who I saw come through almost made me faint. It was her. It was my own mother. I was right. She was 1 of the voices I heard through those doors. My jaw dropped and I stood there just staring at her. Finally, after almost 2 weeks, I finally found my mother. Mom: Ah…! Today, we had to try to come up with a plan to get out of this hell hole. It was in the middle of the morning so I assumed that I would be given my work assignment sometime soon. But instead, fate had something else in store for me. The same hooded stranger that came to the island last night walked up to the front of my cell and looked inwards. I had no idea what was going on. Why was this person on the outside and not a prisoner like the rest of us? She spoke to me in an uncaring tone. ???: You there. Come here. I realized that Saki and I had been gone and not doing a thing for a lot of hours. We said our good byes to Braixen and rushed to get out of the hidden grotto and make sure we got out of there without being seen from there. They were here and not dead. In a weird way, I was happy that they were here. Sure, they were doing things they probably didn’t want to and were being kept here against their wills but at least they were alive. That greatly put me in a better mood. I finally made it outside and was about to go towards the quarry when I saw someone trying to go the other way. There were these 2 tall turrets on both sides. The turrets started to make an alert kind of noise. I could hear someone speaking from a microphone telling this person to go back because he wasn’t authorized to go the way he was trying to go. The person didn’t listen. What I saw next horrified me. The turrets started to become electrified and shocked the poor person. It wasn’t enough to kill him but enough to immobilize him. I quickly looked away and went towards the quarry. When I got there, I searched for Saki. I finally found her on the little beach area of the island. There was another person there with her. He had blue hair and a blue beard as well. Saki seemed as if she was annoying him. Saki: And thus, a lonely Adam waits for his beautiful friend, Valarie, to come back from war. He knocked on the door and I could hear a voice tell him to let me in. The guard opened the door and I walked in. Whoever this warden was had it better than the rest of us in the cells. It looked like an apartment building living area. Just more evil like. He ordered me to sit on the couch near him. I walked up to the couch and sat down and was prepared to hear what this person had to say. Warden: You… It’s been quite some time since we’ve last seen each other hm? Matthew: What do you mean? I went to hurt Neved but 3 Xen Guards came up from behind me and carried me out of the room and back to the original entrance of the castle and then went back to their posts. I stood there in front of the door with ideas running through my head about what happened with Aelita. I couldn’t believe what I heard. It was dark out now. I walked through the doors going inside. I could see Valarie, Saki and Adam up by the throne area of the room. I quietly walked up to them. Adam was sleeping, Saki was lying on the floor drawing something and Valarie was sitting on the throne. Seeing Val calmed me down a bit but I still couldn’t stop thinking about Aelita and how she was being hurt with electricity. Valarie noticed the look on my face. Valarie: Yikes Matthew… Are you ok? You don’t look so good. Was the warden rough on you? Matthew: Yes… Very much so… Saki: -chuckles- Ohh Matthew. When you hear someone say scatter, that means you scatter! The 4 of us went out to the quarry and started to talk to people to see if they saw anyone with purple hair. I found a young woman that saw someone like that. Apparently, she was on her way to the warden’s office. The young woman waited to see what happened next because she was curious but the girl never came out. That creeped me out a bit. Did that mean she was… dead? No. I couldn’t believe that. I went to ask more people. Next, I found a boy that had seen her as well. He told me that he had seen her recently but she could be in some sort of trouble. The warden was dragging her by her ponytail when he 1st saw them. Later, he saw the bow she had in her hair in his hand. That made me feel more at ease but I was now confused. The girl said it had been a while since she last saw the girl but yet this boy said that he saw her recently. They contradicted each other. I found Valarie on the beach and spoke to her. Valarie: Ahh Matthew. Did you figure out anything useful? Matthew: More like confusing. 1 person said she hadn’t seen her for a while and another person said he saw her recently. It doesn’t make sense. Valarie: Hmm. So they’re contradicting each other. Hmm… Aelita has to be in some secret area somewhere in the castle. Matthew: A secret place around here? Ohh man. That’s not gonna be easy to find her then. Valarie: Yea… There’s not much we can do for her. Matthew: Wait. Are you saying we’re not gonna go looking for her?! Valarie: Whoa whoa. We will definitely rescue her but when the time comes. We can’t just do what we please. We need to plan this out carefully or our movements will be restricted more than they already are. Valarie and I walked back near the entrance of the cave. Saki and Adam were already there. We told them what we were able to find out which wasn’t all that much. Valarie suggested that we all go to bed which resulted in Saki arguing with her on if she wants to go to sleep or not. As the squabble continued though, a hooded stranger came walking through the gates. They seemed to be very freezing cold and wet too. The 4 of us were stunned to see this. Adam: Who is that? Matthew: I have no idea but she must have just gotten here. Saki: But none of the guards are here with her. Valarie: Did she swim in the ocean and come up here? ???: S-Someone… please… I need warmth… Turret: Unauthorized person discovered in main castle area! Sending guard to this location at this moment. Xen Guard: Halt! What are you doing here? What’s your name? ???: Please… I-I can’t… I just n-need help right now. Xen Guard: Damnit. Alright. Alright. I’ll take you to the warden’s office. Matthew: No… No, nothing’s wrong. Valarie: Well then, I think we should all go back to our cells and get some rest. Adam: Good. I’m tired as hell. Saki: But I still don’t wanna sleep! Valarie: Saki, I’m not arguing with you about this. Matthew: Well I’m gonna listen to you Valarie. I think I need some sleep. Everything right now is just… It’s not good. Valarie: Matt… If you need to talk at any time, you can talk to me. Adam: Me too. Although, I’d prefer if you didn’t do it while I am trying to sleep. Saki: You can talk to me ANY time Matthew! Matthew: Heh… Thanks you 3. I mean it. The 4 of us walked back to our cells. The guards came and locked them up. I laid in bed and tried to sleep. It was hard though. With Aelita being tortured, me not being able to call out my Pokemon and that hooded stranger. I don’t know why but I felt like I knew them for some reason. I was finally able to drift off to sleep.
