are you trying to get to radomus' gym cuz there should be a crazy fast tauros right by the city that can take to his labyrinth so yeah go back to the gate and look for that tauros

to rate your team 6/10 try getting a dragon, fairy, water with double typing for better coverage and stab and let me know if you can't make a decision for these typings because i got some rare and powerful pokemon with those typings that you might like and other rare and powerful ones as well

iirc there isn't a specific time you have to catch it but i do believe its encounter rate is on the lower side because i once was looking for it and i could find it at any given time i wanted but it definitely took me awhile for me to encounter it and try the celestine cascade it might be easier since that's where i found mine
