      First, it's very important to know the difference between Regret (good vs bad: amoral) and Remorse (right vs wrong: responsibility). Regret generally involves sadness which is what makes it very dangerous (volatile). As far as Psychology is concerned, it's a negative emotional reaction to a certain situation. It's not like you can manipulate time, in order to rewrite what has been done in the past.
